Feb 12, 2010This would be a cool feature, as there is some software out there that lets you use like cannon cameras a webcams, so u can display what the cameras filming on the computer screen. I tried that software and many other software with my iphone and it doesnt work. does anybody know any software and cydia package that will allow me to do this? i asked someone at the apple store before my phone was jailbroken and they said "no, but theres probably a jailbreak app for it". and i was like "wtf?" you work for apple, your supposed to be against this and your telling me how i can benefit from it. ok but that was just something i wanted to say. but any help at all is appreciated.

May 7, 2012i have a usb webcam but the quality isnt very good, i wanted to use my iphone camera as a webcam. i know there are apps that allow you to do that, but they are all through wifi. i dont want to use wifi because when the connection gets low the camera shuts off. thats not very reliable. i was looking for something that allows you to use the camera plugged in the usb port. just as any other webcam.

I bought a webcam on amazon for around $20 and they were complete crap, i cant afford anything more right now and i have both these devices with great cameras already. is there a way to connect them through usb to my PC so i can use them as a webcam? I tried ip webcam but my internet suck and when i stream both the video and anything online it lags and i need lag free. May 14, 2010My friend has an Iphone on AT&T and wants to get it unlocked without doing a jailbreak (offical unlock from Apple) but is upset he can't. I hear people talking about not having to deal with a contract from a carrier here in America and being free to do whatever they want for service if they buy their phone outright with no contract. The problem that I have in understanding this theory is this
There are two major GSM networks in America (AT&T and T-Mobile) and two major CDMA networks in America (Verizon and Sprint)
If you buy a regular phone (non-3G) with AT&T or T-Mobile you can hop between the two carriers but if the phone is 3G then it will only work on AT&T or T-Mobile since they have different 3G frequencies.
If you buy a regular phone or a phone that is EVDO Rev A capable with Verizon or Sprint they only work on those carriers anyway because they don't allow you to switch their phones between carriers?
Having an unlocked phone is good if you travel overseas and no contract means you can cancel when you want but how many people really cancel service often enough and switch carriers for that to matter, especially if they have a family account?
So the question is this - what does free or not having a contract really mean and why does it matter when you can't really go anywhere and use all the features of the phone?

Mar 14, 2012I tried to download the garageband update v. 1.2 on my iphone 4s, but i only got a message that says I don't have enough free space.I tried to reinstall the app, but no luck. The app is about 800mb and i have about 1,5gb left on the phone.
