Galaxy S6 :: Battery Temperature Too Low To Charge
Jul 12, 2015When plugged in , says battery temperature too low to charge. Is less than 2 weeks old, charged fine till last night, then did not charge. Have tried plugging n at different places tried portable charger, tried thru usb to computer. Just shows batteru at 39% and a thermometer with the red area partially up. and displays message battery temp too low to charge.

Jan 13, 2016I believe the on-screen message was close to the title example. Anyway, after draining the battery to around 25% (last used apps were instagram, snapchat, clash of clans, and nlf mobile) I plugged in to the charger that originally came with the S6. Within a minute I heard the "low-battery, please recharge" sound and saw the "Battery temperature is too high and will not charge" message. Then after doing the attempts below trying to troubleshoot, my phone is currently at 0% and unable to charge. The charger plug isn't even recognized without awkward positioning. The charger plug (and phone battery to a lesser extent) did often become hot when charging, but I never thought anything of it, as it seemed like a known/common occurrence among GS6 owners.
1. First reaction: unplug charger, use Advanced Task Killer, then wait couple minutes before plugging back in.
2. Soft reset through power button and Restart option.
3. Tried moving original charger to different wall outlets/power strips and using my old charger that originally came with a GS3.
4. Reboot to Bios screen (I think thats what its called), cleared cache, and restart.
5. Factory reset from Settings->Backup option
After the factory reset, the battery hit 0% during the initial set up. Strangely, when I tilt the charger plug upwards (slight downward angle going into port), the phone reacts as if recognizing a charger is plugged. This angle wasn't necessary prior to the "breaking," but by maintaining the angle I can keep the phone on while it goes through the initial startup (until it tries to find a network or search for updates, then turns off). I wanted to see if there were any possible ways of saving this phone.

BB Bold :: My Phone Won't Charge
Aug 11, 2011I plugged my phone in to charge, instead of the usual lightening bolt, a message came up saying my phone is not charging because of the charger etc etc. so I turned it off, and the usual yellow charging light was flashing. 5 hours later, the battery had gone up by one bar. I have tried charging it on the usb charger on the laptop + still no lightening bolt yet still the yellow flash when switched off. Am I right in thinking that it is the charging port on my phone that is faulty?

May 6, 2012just recently my Bold 9930 has had the habit of rebooting whenever I plug it into either my car outlet, or the charger that came with the phone. It doesn't happen all the time, but I'd say it happens about 25% of the time I go to plug the phone in.I'm running the highest official OS (7.1.0.580) on Verizon, and did not experience this issue with the previous OS. I didn't experience this issue right after I upgraded, it was about 3 weeks after that update came out, and nothing happened to the phone.

Btw, my battery is fine, tried switching it with my friend's bold, and it works. .so no problem with the battery. .

I tried several different outlets, my dad's charger, and my USB, and none of them worked. So I gave up for that night. Today my dad got me a new battery and it still doesn't charge. Once again, I tried several different outlets, my dad's charger, and my USB cable.I've let it sit on the charger for a while, and nothing has happened. I am completely clueless. Since it's not the battery, it's the phone.Did I accidentally post this in the wrong subforum? I noticed I'm in the "Smartphones" section and I got my phone in December of 2009.

Nov 25, 2012a few days ago about my blackberry 9000 that would not turn on or be recognized no matter what i did when connected through usb to the pc, instead it flashed 4 red lights over and over.i drained the battery in my friends husbands bold 9000 till it was fully dead to test out a theory: i popped it in mine and put the blackberry on charge - no lights at all and no lights now (its been charging 10 hours in a wall plug)does a bricked (this is what the shop techie said when taking it to him for a fix and then refused to fix it for me cause its a paperweight) blackberry still charge up normally? mine isnt charging the battery so im wondering if the reason its undetectable by my pc is because the charging ports faulty or is it standard that a bricked blackberry no longer bothers to charge your battery because it wont turn on

Jun 13, 2015I keep getting notifications that my storage is getting low; even after I deleted a couple apps and a bunch of pictures. I went to Settings > Storage and I saw that "System & other" is taking up 9.66GB. Is it supposed to be taking up this much? If not, what can I do to reduce this? Then, when I go to Content to try to delete some things, it lists "Browser" and "Miscellaneous." I don't understand what exactly is under these tabs. If I click "Browser," I see a lot of "IMAG" along with music files that are on my phone. So if I delete these items, does it mean I am deleting those specific pictures and music tracks from my phone altogether? If so, then why aren't they solely under "Music" or "Photos"? Also with Misc.; When I click it, I see things labelled such as Snapchat or Tumblr.

May 14, 2012Today I went onto the apps store on my Iphone 4 and tried to download N.O.V.A 3 but it came up with a message saying I don't have enough free space. So I click on the settings tap and it closes the message, last OS update it use to take me to the settings but now it just closes. So I open the settings myself and see I have 4GB free. What the? N.O.V.A 3 is 1.5GBs in size, my phone and if I plug it into Itunes is telling me I have 4GBs left yet I don't have enough room to install a 1.5GB game.
Dunno if this could be related, but 2 OS updates ago there was a bug that caused the phone to give you a incorrect space value. Back then it was saying I had a significant amount of free space more than what I actually had. For instance it would say I have 2GB left but if I went to Itunes it would say the correct ammount of a few MBs. But that's not the problem now, ever since I updated to the latest OS instead of Itunes being right and the phone being wrong, either both are right or both are wrong so to speak. I could wipe app by app untill it says I have enough room left but syncing them back accross will take hours so id rather not do that unless i have to.

BB Curve :: Cannot Scroll Past Certain Areas In Apps?
Sep 23, 2012I encountered this problem a long time ago but it just recently became very disruptive.(first off, my phone is a BlackBerry Curve 8530)It appears that a bug causes the trackpad to stop scrolling past a particular area for whatever reason.Some time ago, I encountered this problem in my iheartradio app. I was unable to scroll through all of the genres to get to the one I wanted. I can't remember which, but for all intents and purposes, let's say there were 20 genres. I could scroll down through genres 1-15 but I could not scroll any further in order to get to 16-20. I never figured out why it did that, but the problem was "resolved" after I updated the app (because of the interface change). The problem went away becauses the list of genres were oriented in a very different manner.
Now, I have encountered this problem in the App World app.I was bored and started playing in App World and came across "iSpeech Translator" (which is No. 25 in the "Top Free" category). When it was installing, I hit the back button to go back to the "Top Free" list (did this cause the problem?) and now it appears that my phone became "stuck" at No. 25....in ALL categories. Top Free, Top Paid, New Arrivals, Top Rated....in all of them, I cannot scroll past the 25th app....and it is incredibly frustrating. I can only scroll from 1 to 25...and no further.I've tried reinstalling App World, downgrading App World, and pulling the battery but nothing has worked so far. I was unable to find a reference to my specific problem through Google so I'm not sure what to do.
IPhone :: White Frame On Touched Areas?
Jun 30, 2012I recently upgraded my iPhone4 to iOS 5. There were no problems at first, but suddenly my screen hanged. After rebooting my phone, the touch interface was no longer working properly. Whenever i touched an area, a white frame would appear around the item touched. I would then have to press the area a few times in order for the number or letter to appear. Swiping doesn't work, everything else is very laggy.

Jan 21, 2010You know the sound the phone makes when you send an SMS? The little "boop" sound (haha). I like it because when I am texting from apps like tlert or biteSMS, it verifies that the text was sent. This is useful for me in areas where I have poor service as a verification. Why do I need this? Because I have often sent a text, then gone back hours later to see that it never sent. This is due to a combination of poor service in certain areas and the fact that I usually keep the ringer switch set to vibrate.
I searched a long time trying to find something that would make my phone vibrate when the message was sent, but couldn't find anything, so I went into the files and figured it myself. I did this all in iFile, because it was way easier then through SSH - but you can do either one.
1.) open iFile/SSH into your phone.
2.) Go to System>Library>PrivateFrameworks>Celestial.Framework and open the file "SystemSoundBehaviors.plist"
3.)* Scroll down to:

There are all other sorts of sound behaviors that you look at it in there, such as when you flip the ringer switch (whether it vibrates or not).There are multiple settings for each action. Look at the keys: Ring or Vibrate? Or ignore? Silent or Vibrate? Or ignore. Is the ringer switch on or off? Or ignore?

Oct 23, 2011My XOOM returned from 4G upgrade refusing to search for WiFi once it has been allowed to connect 4G. I have experimented with many ways to improve this including changing from CDMA/LTE to CDMA only (just to test 3G connections), disabling the 'data enabled' setting, disabling WiFi too, then turning on WiFi both before and after blanking the screen, and trying all 3 options of when to change from 4G to WiFi (after screen blank, etc.). The only fix is a complete shutdown and cold boot for it to wake up and search for WiFi. The WiFi in question are the same I used before the 4G upgrade and nothing has changed but the XOOM hardware and presumably software. If it is restricted to WiFi only and I move from home to office to a public WiFi, it will happily switch back and forth UNTIL I coax it into a 4G connection. Then, it takes a cold reboot.

Oct 21, 2010First of all, for some reason Nokia have decided to categories Artists AND Albums together, rather than have a separate Artists category and separate Albums category. It seems to work fine if you have an album from a single artist, but seems to be messed up if you have compilation albums (Such as the NOW albums)For example:I know I have Cheryl Cole's "Fight For This Love" on my memory card, which is on NOW 74 Disc I. However, there are no listings for Cheryl Cole, and there is no way for me to browse via album name. Instead, it can weirdly be found listed under Little Boots, along with other tracks from that album.
It seems a little backwards to me, and an illogical way of doing things. I would have much preferred to have had separate options for Artist and Albums. I know I have at least two Cheryl Cole tracks on my memory card, yet the software doesn't seem to recognise them at all, despite the track tags being up-to-date (They appear on all my other phones). This also happens for many other multi-artist albums.
I also found that the equaliser is limited to only five built-in presets, and there doesn't seem to be an option to set the levels yourself, as you could previously on other Nokia handsets in the past. Nokia also seem to be pimping the Shuffle mode on almost every screen in the music player - Moreso than seems normal I think there is definitely room for improvement in regards to the music listening experience, and it feels as if Nokia haven't quite finished the design. If anything, they've broken what was previously a perfect interface on models such as the N91, N82, N95, and N96 et al...
IPhone :: In Dorm Room / Netflix App For 3GS Want Output On Flat Screen TV
Sep 11, 2010I'd really like to be able to watch movies in my dorm, and I just got a new Vizio TV from walmart. If I have the netflix app on my iphone, how would I go about connecting the iphone to the TV, to take advantage of the unlimited movies? What exactly do I need to buy, and would the output be high quality and worth it?
Oh, and I'm not considering doing it through my computer because my internet usage is somewhat monitored,and my university will bill me if I go over. I have 5 bars anyways so it's not that big of a deal.

Today i updated to belle refersh, now my tocuh screen doesnt register my touch in certain areas, i cant pull down the notification bar, cant scroll vertially (horizontal scroll works with jerks), the icon i click on doesnt get selected, but one above or on the side of it gets selected...pretty strange and annoying...what i did....removed memory card, restarted, checked...same thing...clean formatted the phone (without memory card...still doesnt work).

Jun 24, 2010So. I was tracking my package today and since I am at work and no one was home to sign for the package, I assumed that I would see a delivery attempt on the tracking page. However to my dismay, the phone was left on my front porch without release authorization. The tracking info says the following.Left at front door. Package delivered to recipient address - release authorized This unacceptable for two reasons. First, this would be easy target for thieves. Especially with the wide publicity of the iPhone launch. If I were a thief I'd be driving around residential areas and just swiping any fedex package that left on the front door. Secondly, today is an extraordinarily hot day and the temps are easily in the upper 90's. My porch is in direct sunlight, effectively making the box act as an oven baking my iPhone. So I ended up leaving work for an hour so that I can pick up the phone so it wouldn't bake in the sun for 5 hours. Angry as hell, I called Fedex to see who authorized the release. They said that Fedex reserves the right to release packages in residential areas without a release agreement on file to expedite deliveries because of possible volume issues. WTF! So am I being over-sensitive? Or do I have the right the be a little peeved? I'm actually pretty angry. Almost to the point where I want to call fedex or apple and say I never got the package. But I won't. I'm a good christian boy and never would do such a thing.
