IPhone :: 4 (iOS 5.1.1) Not Detecting SIM/Network?
Jun 1, 2012
I bought my iPhone 4 from Singapore, currently using it in India for the past 15 months on the Airtel network. For the past 6 hours my phone is not detecting the network. It says NO DEVICE and when I checked under SETTING --> GENERAL --> ABOUT --> NETWORK it says SIM NOT ALLOWED. What seems to be the problem, is the SIM corrupt ??? Or is there a problem with the hardware itself ?
I bought my ip4s (brand new) on the 19th of January. And it was working fine up until last week when it stopped detecting wifi networks When I turn on wifi the "finding networks" circle keeps on searching with no success even though I used to connect to same router before. I tried everything: resetting network connections, rebooting phone. I even downloaded the latest iOS software just now. The problem seems to persist and to add to that the battery is being drained quickly even though I already turned off wifi (so it ain't still trying to connect).
I have purchased a new Zperia Z3 from sony store in US jersey, and I opened it in India.I have tried several SIM cards but the phone is not detecting any network. Its a unlocked device and totally free from any contract.Indian service centres say they can not repair ot as its not purchased from India. Do I need to return the phone or its a minor problem. All other things in the phone are working perfectly.
My wife just came back from overseas and now her phone will not detect our wireless network, just says it's "out of range", yet my phone connects fine. I have checked all the settings which are ok, reset the phone and the router to no avail.
I've recently bought a HTC Incredible S from my service provider and was very anxious to test it out. However, after the 8 hours of charging, I turned on my new phone expecting to connect to my home network and start setting up my phone. Problem is, I can't seem to detect my home network. My laptop, my brother's laptop, my ipod touch, my family member's phones are all able to detect and surf with my home wireless network without any problems so why is it the Incredible S can't even detect the network? I am able to detect wireless networks from the units all around me, unfortunately they're all locked so i'm unable to test if connecting was possible but I'm unable to detect my own.
i have an iPhone 4, ever since i upgraded to iOS5, i have to stand within a meter of my router for my phone to detect wifi is in range. if i am any further my phone can't detect wifi.
So my 3GS was working fine for several months. I had to jailbreak it with blackra1n (teathered because its a newer 3gs) to unlock it to be able to use it in my country with my Sim card. Everything was fine, until one day it stopped seeing Wi-Fi networks. Even when I type the name in manually it will not connect. So now I cannot use the internet at all because I do not have a data plan. What could be the cause of this problem?
My wifi is on and when it tries to find a wifi connection, the gray little circle just keeps spinning and will not detect our home wifi. I have tried to search for it and connect to it manually, but it will not search for the network name.
The county where I live -- Montgomery County, MD -- has installed dozens of these cameras and is continuing to install more. I've already been ticketed three times and I'm a very conservative driver. Those cameras get you even if you're not intentionally speeding, but are simply not paying close enough attention and happen to be exceeding the posted limit by more 10 mph. There is one called "RadarActive Speed Trap" on the App Store, but I can't tell from the description whether it gives you an audible warning that you're approaching a camera or not.
When I connect my iphone 4s to my computer, itunes does not automatically detect my phone to sync, thus prohibiting me from backing up. It also will not allow me to sync now on my phone either.
My USB ports are working for my wireless mouse and for card readers to download images. Yet when I plug in my iPhone 5S - nothing. It doesn't charge, and it won't synch or be acknowledged in iTunes. I had been synching wirelessly unitl just recently but iTunes no longer sees the phone wirelessly either. I reset the omputer's SMC, swapped cords and restarted everthing with no luck. If I plug the same phone into another Mac or to a PC, it immediately beeps and begins to charge. So I know the phone and cord are doing their part. iTunes on my desktop computer sees the iPhone and will sync with it wirelessly or wired, but it's my laptop that I need to sync it with. On the iPhone, in Settings>General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync it lists both the desktop computer and the laptop with the last sync date, but never discovers the laptop if I choose Sync Now. The computer shows up on all other computers on the network and both the computer and iPhone are on the same, correct network. How do I get the laptop and iPhone to see each other again?? OS 10.9.3 on a MacBookPro and iOS 7.1.1Â
Basically I tried to connect my mother's n70 to my computer (vista Ultimate 32bit) using the CA-53 cable. However I was just given the prompt unknown device installed, and PC Suite was not detecting anything. So basically I had no choice but to just abandon it and try to connect my phone (5800) to the PC. However, the phone now does not detect being connected to the PC, and Ovi Suite cannot detect the phone as well. Trying it out on PC Suite, it gives me the error "No connection type available, wizard will now close" or something along those lines. Its the first time this has happened to me so I have no clue. I've already tried repairing, and uninstall reinstall but still nothing.
Just yesterday night I switched off my Torch 9800 after making a call very late, this morning after switching on my BB wrote Insert SIM Card and SOS beside the signal icon.
I use to access my MMC using the DATA cable by connecting it to the PC. It usually gives an option to install the "pc comanion" software when I was using gingerbread OS.. then, I skip the installation & only use to transfer files between MMC and the PC via cable..ut, after the ICS update I couldn't do that as is pops-up with a message to install drives, and when I do so; it gives an error like below;Note: I've even installed the pc software & tried to connect, but it failed.. then I tried downloading driver from here & updated manually, but it failed too
every now and again my phone restarts and doesn't detect my SD card I have to take the card out and the battery and put it back in again so that it will detect again this can happen multiple times a day. The micro SD card I am using is a SanDisk 200GB. I'm starting to think that this mite be a bug as I have hooked it up to my PC and the desktop detects it just fine.
Now my Blackberry phone cannot read the memory card nor access.the files stored in the Memory card, it shows that there is no memory card. I called the Redington service center in
i've connected my Nokia E5-00 with pc through usb cable.PC is able to recognize the phone but nokia pc suite is not connecting the phone.i've tried all the solutions mentioned in the discussion forum. Also, i've tried different versions of pc suite but the problem is same.
After I Reseted and updated my phone all of my apps and files on SD-card is not recognized by the phone. They have most likely NOT been removed as the SD-card was not suposed to be affected by the reset of the phone. Also I do find the apps and the files when connected to Pc. I ahve tried to search for some cind of management for this but I have not found anything.
I know this problem was discussed in many threads, and the solution has been given, but please somewhat read my problem instead of just throwing the same solution without reading.I am not sure when this problem started, but I did clear cache by using Apps 2 SD app before. Then I realised PC Companion isn't detecting my phone.
This problem came 2 days before. when my frdnz phone detected 5 wifi networks and mine 0. i first did Settings reset it dint help then i did Factory reset it dint help. then i updated my neo V to ICS and still it is not working.
My BB Curve 8900 is showing "Reload Software 552" error message. I tried to load the new OS from Desktop manager but my PC is not detecting my blackberry. Earlier it was showing a battery sign when I removed the battery and connected my BB to PC but now there is no light or sign in the BB after connecting to PC. BB only works when I put the battery into it and shows the same message, Reload Software 552.
