So my 3GS was working fine for several months. I had to jailbreak it with blackra1n (teathered because its a newer 3gs) to unlock it to be able to use it in my country with my Sim card. Everything was fine, until one day it stopped seeing Wi-Fi networks. Even when I type the name in manually it will not connect. So now I cannot use the internet at all because I do not have a data plan. What could be the cause of this problem?
My wifi is on and when it tries to find a wifi connection, the gray little circle just keeps spinning and will not detect our home wifi. I have tried to search for it and connect to it manually, but it will not search for the network name.
This problem came 2 days before. when my frdnz phone detected 5 wifi networks and mine 0. i first did Settings reset it dint help then i did Factory reset it dint help. then i updated my neo V to ICS and still it is not working.
My USB ports are working for my wireless mouse and for card readers to download images. Yet when I plug in my iPhone 5S - nothing. It doesn't charge, and it won't synch or be acknowledged in iTunes. I had been synching wirelessly unitl just recently but iTunes no longer sees the phone wirelessly either. I reset the omputer's SMC, swapped cords and restarted everthing with no luck. If I plug the same phone into another Mac or to a PC, it immediately beeps and begins to charge. So I know the phone and cord are doing their part. iTunes on my desktop computer sees the iPhone and will sync with it wirelessly or wired, but it's my laptop that I need to sync it with. On the iPhone, in Settings>General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync it lists both the desktop computer and the laptop with the last sync date, but never discovers the laptop if I choose Sync Now. The computer shows up on all other computers on the network and both the computer and iPhone are on the same, correct network. How do I get the laptop and iPhone to see each other again?? OS 10.9.3 on a MacBookPro and iOS 7.1.1Â
I have a Blackberry Curve 8900 without a data plan. I've been using it with wifi for two years, but yesterday afternoon, it stopped working. My wireless network is still working, but my Blackberry can't detect the wifi network at all, but it can detect my neighbor's.
I tried deleting the save profile and looked for the entwork again and found nothing. I also tried taking out the phone bettery for thrity seconds and then putting it back it, but it didn't work. Rebooting the router didn't work either. t work. Rebooting the router didn
For the first two days it was working properly but after a software update of 133.33 mb for touchwiz it suddenly stopped detecting my sim card, i used the same sim card in an another phone, the sim was ok. when i tried another other sim card in the galaxy s5 it was not detecting it. Also i tried to register the mobile network but a message was displaying "insert sim card to access network". I don't know what to do now as the phone was bought from japan but m using it in India.
i have an iPhone 4, ever since i upgraded to iOS5, i have to stand within a meter of my router for my phone to detect wifi is in range. if i am any further my phone can't detect wifi.
I bought my iPhone 4 from Singapore, currently using it in India for the past 15 months on the Airtel network. For the past 6 hours my phone is not detecting the network. It says NO DEVICE and when I checked under SETTING --> GENERAL --> ABOUT --> NETWORK it says SIM NOT ALLOWED. What seems to be the problem, is the SIM corrupt ??? Or is there a problem with the hardware itself ?
The county where I live -- Montgomery County, MD -- has installed dozens of these cameras and is continuing to install more. I've already been ticketed three times and I'm a very conservative driver. Those cameras get you even if you're not intentionally speeding, but are simply not paying close enough attention and happen to be exceeding the posted limit by more 10 mph. There is one called "RadarActive Speed Trap" on the App Store, but I can't tell from the description whether it gives you an audible warning that you're approaching a camera or not.
I bought my ip4s (brand new) on the 19th of January. And it was working fine up until last week when it stopped detecting wifi networks When I turn on wifi the "finding networks" circle keeps on searching with no success even though I used to connect to same router before. I tried everything: resetting network connections, rebooting phone. I even downloaded the latest iOS software just now. The problem seems to persist and to add to that the battery is being drained quickly even though I already turned off wifi (so it ain't still trying to connect).
When I connect my iphone 4s to my computer, itunes does not automatically detect my phone to sync, thus prohibiting me from backing up. It also will not allow me to sync now on my phone either.
I have an iPhone 4S.I just installed a new Network using a Netgear router. The router offers to recognized networks, one working at 2.4 GHz and the other at 5 GHz. My laptop and iPad recognize both networks, but my iPhone only sees the 2.4 GHz network. Is this iPhone model (the latest model) unable to see a network at 5G? I would think not, but it simply doesn't show and doesn't allow me to add it manually.
I've restarted the phone and reset network settings several times. Airport mode is off. This occurs in multiple WiFi hotspots that are recognized by other iPhones purchased at the same time. Apple wants to be paid to help (phone is 7 months old).
What I don't understand is why the wifi isn't working? I just got the iPhone 4S yesterday, I already have an iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 is consistently using my home wifi while I am at home perfectly. My iPhone 4 is updated to the latest software too iOS 5.1. My iPhone 4S will not connect to wifi. I am entering the right WPA user & pass. It is updated with iOS 5.1.
My iPad, iMac, Macbookpro, & iPod ALL have no trouble connecting to my home wifi. I do not understand how this is a wireless router issue when it works with all of my other Apple devices BUT the iPhone4S? I have tried everything under the sun, restart reboot, turn off, turn on, switch network off, switch it on, reset this, reset that?
So, I got my iPhone 4s brand new from apple.com (UK) on christmas day, from then I had no problems at all with the iPhone although a week or so ago I lost my connection to WiFi. When you go to Settings>WiFi usually you will be given quite a few options ( your own WiFi and neighbours), this has always worked for me but now it doesnt, I get the message 'Could not scan for wireless networks'. I've looked in the forums for resolutions but nobody seems to have any although this problem is popping up for quite a few people! I dont have access to an apple store for help from an assistant which makes my situation even worse! I have never dropped my iPhone 4s and have never put it in water either, so has anybody ever had this problem and found a fix? I have also tried reseting my iPhone completely and done the same with my wireless 02 router! Turning on and off again, most things you could think of i have tried!
I bought an iPhone 4s, and I was just wondering if I were to get it unlocked from Sprint, terminate my contract, can I use the same iPhone on a network such as Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile? Just curious, honestly.
I am out of the country. I turned my cellular data off and connected to wiFi . However, it is still showing that i am connected to a network. How can i be sure that i am not being charged for roaming?
How do I activate my phone on all networks by Apple
I bought the phone from France and is closed on the French sfrI am now in the problem of how to activate it in a formal way with the knowledge I am from Algeria and we have no Apple Store
Does my iPhone 4S work with a tigo plan when traveling internationally or do I have to use my US carrier's international plan and pay roaming services?
I hgave reset network, reset phone, hard soft shut down, plugged it into the router-time capsule, and nothing. It just keeps on spinning around and around. I do not have a VPN network, but I tried that, and still nothing. My office is where I have wifi-plus their are 10 other wifi's in the building it used to pick up, now nothing. Even at home nothing. Just spinning and spinning. It is 2 weeks old. I bought it in Canada, and am now in Africa. I purchased it factory unlocked, and it is running the 5.1.1 software. I don't want to take my phone to the apple resellers, as I bought it at an actual Apple store, and I don't trust the guy here in Tanzania. Is their anything that I have missed that I could possibly do? If you say fixed or static IP, I have no idea how to do that so if you could explain where that said IP is so I could utilize it, and how do I input it to my phone. I'm thinking that is my last hope. Other than that the chip or antenna are fried somehow-even though it is brand new, and has had a case on it the whole time.
I have an iPhone 4 and it has been using from 10MB to 100MB of my data plan while I'm on a WiFi network. This usually happens at night or when my iPhone is on standby and is killing my 200MB plan.I am almost always on a WiFi network and the most data usage seems to be around 12AM - 6AM. I have just picked up on this when I was out of state and needed to have my 3G on to get good reception (data roaming was off). Before then I usually never had my cellular network on and never had much of a problem. Now i have come home to an AT&T M-Cell. I cannot connect to the M-Cell unless I'm on 3G.
I have read many forums that all say that you need to turn off your data while I'm on a WiFi network. However this is just a work around and not a solution to what is actually using so much data. Has anyone found a better solution or has found an app that will keep a log of what is taking up so much of my data plan?
