IPad Sees Router And Internet But IPhone 5 Does Not
Sep 3, 2014Why can my iPhone 5 see my wireless router but not connect to the internet while my iPad Air connects just fine? I even submitted this question from my iPad. I tried, in no particular order, plugging and unplugging the power and connection cables on the router, restarting my phone, renewing the lease and still nothing. I tried my phone on another router and while more consistent it still wasn't constant. I can use cellular internet but I would rather not put the extra drain on the already fast draining battery.

May 14, 2012I have a 64G iPhone 4S. When I plug the phone into my Mac Book Pro, iTunes recognizes my phone and begins to sync but NEVER actually syncs. It times out and say that iTunes is unable to sync with phone. I have tried everything that I know and everything that two Apple tech people know. Uninstalled iTunes, reset and restored the iPhone. Apple sent me a new phone and it still doesn't work!! My wife's iPhone 4 syncs fine with the same computer. I have even tried syncing my 4S with a different computer and it does the same thing. I even took my Mac to two other Internet/network sources to see if the routers or network settings was the issue and it still doesn't sync!

Jun 29, 2012I don't know if this is a Galaxy question or more and Android issue, but is there a way to make your phone look for 5ghz networks before opting for 2.4ghz? I only noticed because we were working on this network job where the radios were broadcasting both bands, the 2.4ghz was getting crushed, but the 5ghz barely had any users on it at all. It was really frustrating my phone kept connecting to the 2.5ghz radio. All the iPhone users were giving me total shit over it, as of course all their phones were defaulting to 5ghz. Also if I can't make it look for 5ghz first, can I force it to use it?

Jan 1, 2012Just recently my pc began having a problem recognizing my Bravo as a phone. Until then everything was fine.Now when I plug my Bravo into a USB port, I hear a chime, but no window opens.When I go to My Computer, the phone is shown as Removeable Disk (X:).When I double click on it, a small window opens with this message: "Insert Disk.Please insert a disk into drive X:." Under properties, it appears as Motorola MB520 USB Device, a disk drive.After plenty of research, I have tried changing the assigned letter of the drive twice.Every other USB device I own works just fine on my PC. The only way I can access the phone on my PC is to turn off the pc, connect the phone, power on the pc, and then the phone appears as a phone. When I connect the phone to another pc, the phone appears as it should.Some research shows this problem may be related to Acronis on my pc, but another pc with Acronis on it can recognize my phone. Could this be the result of disconnecting the phone without "preparing" the disconnect?

Apr 27, 2010My iPhone 3G is being recognised perfectly happily by iTunes, but absolutely nothing else. It doesn't appear in Finder and doesn't open iPhoto when I plug it in, so I can back up my photos.
I've tried restarting both the Mac (which is running Snow Leopard) and the iPhone. I've tried several cables. The result is always the same. iTunes spots the iPhone (it did use to automatically open iTunes, but I stopped that) and nothing else. No icon on the desktop, no appearance in Finder and won't show in any searches I do.
How can I fix this, and start backing up photos again?

Apr 10, 2012A couple days ago, this happened, but it did not work after many force restarts. I restored it to factory settings, and I got to the part where it says to let your phone restart, but after it did, the iPhone turned off and now it will not turn back on. iTunes cannot see it and I have tried charging it and it does not work. That way you can have a music player, gps, maps, watch videos, not sure what else but on a big screen like that in the car would be nice. I think iphone and ipod touch are too small to use in the car. I dont know why apple didnt think of doing this in the first place. I just think it's just shows that Ipad soon will have all the missing features everybody is complaining about.
