My iphone 3 gs screen has gone white.It was doing it periodically for a couple of days, but I could get it back to normal by pressing the sleep button, then the home button.Then last night it went white and none of the normal remedies worked.I have tried the hard reset also and tried syncing with itunes but that doesn't work either. The phone will still ring etc.the voice activation works.

My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

Why does my 3GS have a white screen sometimes, and I have to lock the screen for it to go back to lock screen? Sometimes I have to attempt the lock screen several times, and it still doesn't work. I, then, attempt to restart it by powering it down, and the lock screen will appear again. The display goes out sometimes while I am on a call, and I can't hang up. I have to go through this hole process over and over again.

I had my IPhone in my shirt pocket. Took it out and all that shows up is a white screen. I can still answer calls if I slide my finger across the screen in the correct area, but I can not see anything but white. I am going to try the restore and forced restore but don't think it will work according to the Apple support guy.

I can turn it off and back on and it will work fine but when I lock it or is goes black, and goes back onto the white screen. ive tried everything i can without taking it apart. I dont have any warrenty or insurance for it. I got it from my sister and ive had it for about a year and not dropped it once! just abit battered from when she had it. View 5 Replies View RelatedI can really blame this one on the dog. Walking to my desk, phone in hand, excited puppy races along and bounces into me, phone goes flying. Lands face down.Screen is white, and will sometimes flash grey lines when it seems the phone is trying to do something (like reboot). The music that was playing before the drop continued to play after. The touch screen does not seem to respond. The phone rings when people call me, and my alarm that I had set still went off. Itunes recognizes when my phone is plugged into my computer.
I've been doing research for a few hours trying to see if this is something I can fix - I opened it up to re-seat all the connections, and that didn't help (it didn't seem to make things worse either, at least). There are no visible cracks/breaks on the outside (I have not completely dismantled the inside to see from there).
Phone is a week past warranty, and I don't know that this would have been covered anyway. I'm prepared to fix it myself, as long as I have a good idea what I need to buy. Should I be looking at an LCD replacement? A digitizer replacement? Something else? I've read conflicting things on this. Thanks for any help that can be offered.
I have an iPhone 3gs (old I know) and it boots up to the apple logo then a couple seconds later to a white screen. I have tried putting it in DFU mod or recovery mode with the whole to seconds sleep/wake button and 20 home, but nothing works. I have checked all the connectors and I am still getting that screen. I found there is a very little tiny white dot that I doubt might be a dead pixel on my iphone 4s screen. It hard to notice only when the screen turns totally black such as power off and on the iPhone. I tried rebooting and I updated my iOS. This happens on wifi and 4G. I was able to download the Yahoo Mail app, and that works fine.
