I connect my iPhone to iTunes (updated today to the newest) and it says there is no update past 4.2.1 and is up to date. Though I have an iPod and am well aware of 5.1.1, it still says it cannot update.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I have had a problem which has envoked many levels of stress and frustration to my daily life. Whenever I connect my iPhone 5c to my computer, it begins to charge. I open my iphone and it asks "trust this computer". I hit trust and then it tries to import photos and videos on my computer from my iPhone, even though there are 0 new photos/videos to be imported. If I click "cancel import" on my computer it will basically disconnect itself from my computer, without being manually disconnected, and then reconnect only to begin the whole process again. My iPhone does not recognize as a device on itunes, and my PC (Windows 8) doesn't even inform me when I connect it. Â
My iPhone works on other computers, it's only my computer one which has the issue. I have re installed itunes twice, and restarted the Apple Mobile Device Support on my PC. Â

my iPhone 5s (which I only got this summer) was unexpectedly caught in a blue screen logo loop earlier this week. It endlessly tried to boot up but as soon as the blue screen appeared it crashed and tried to boot up again. (Before this happened I noticed that a blue screen would light up while turning on but without any further problems...)Â
I had searched the web how to get past the loop and managed to restore the iPhone (recovery mode, etc). Everything was fine or so it seemed until it switched off again. When I tried to switch it back on the loop issue reappeared and restoring the phone wasn't as straight forward as it was the first time. Numerous attempts failed. I had it restored to factory settings, and at the end of the process there was an iTunes message saying it's been retired and the phone will appear in iTunes as soon as it restarts but... it didn't. it was caught up in the loop again!Â
Question is will i ever be able to switch it off again? If I do will it again be caught up in the loop (where I have to start it in recovery mode)???? What could possible be the issue triggering the blue screen loop? Is it software? Or hardware related? I mean I almost gave up on it before it finally, eventually started again. but I'm seriously concerned.Â

I have a new iPhone 6 Plus and have been able to get it successfully get to updating to iOS 8.1 but after that, I can never get it to get past the 8.1.1 or the 8.1.2 update terms and conditions. I agree with the first screen and then it has the pop-up second smaller question, I agree to that and then the first screen just stays locked in view. If I touch on the first agree highlighted text again it fades on and off but never changes. Would trying to do the update via iTunes solve this problem or is there something else I can reset on the iPhone 6 Plus itself to not have to do so?Â

So I've gotten brave (or frustrated) enough to update my 4s to 8.1.1 from the initial iOS 8 update. I can only get to the point where it asks me to agree to the terms and conditions. I agree, twice, then everything stops. I have plenty of space to download the update. I tell you, ever since this iOS 8 update, my fondness of Apple products has diminished to the same level of my fondness for PCs.

After a few days my iphone 4s calendar deletes all my current, past and future events . I have an iPhone 4 and lately my iMessages have been deleting on its own. For example: In the middle of April 2012, I got a friend's number & we started texting. We stopped texting the very end of May because they got a new number. I like to go back & read old conversations, but when I go back to the beginning of our conversations in April, they are no longer there. It started the conversation like a week after we first started texting.
When I go to delete text messages that they sent twice by a mistake, some of the beginning of our conversation in April comes back. I don't understand why my past conversations are deleting on its own ONLY for iMessage. My SMS text messages for one person are all still there, from when we very first started texting to 2 days ago. Why is it not like that anymore for my iMessage conversations?

I send a lot of group texts and the groups vary quite a bit. I have not set up the various combinations of recipients as actual "groups" in iMessage. Let's say I sent a text to Tom, Dick & Harry. Then the next day, I sent a text to Tom & Dick. Then the next day, I sent a text to Tom, Dick, Harry & Jane. If I now go to send a new message to just Tom, his contact now appears fourth on list of contacts when I type "Tom" in the "to" line, behind:

It's even worse because in some instances, I've included names like Tom in over a dozen random texts involving many people. It's like iMessage is claiming I want each of those group texts to be saved as an actual "group" or at least saved in the results when I'm typing in someone's name for a new text. I DON'T want that. I may have sent a text once to Tom, Dick, Jane, Mary, Ted, Bob & Homer to meet me by the third base line at Cellular Field but obviously I'll only actually need to use that group once because everyone knows with a group that large, there's only a slim chance everyone will get out of the Cell alive anyway. I just want to send Tom a text, after he lost a bet and had to go to a White Sox game, and I don't want to have to scroll past all the random "Groups" he's been in just to find his contact.
