IPhone :: 3G Running IOS 4 - Back-Up Failed After About An Hour
Jun 23, 2010
Okay...So after trying to upgrade on iOS 4 Launch Day this week and failing miserably because I own a 3G, I was finally able to complete the upgrade last night.
Couple of things...First...The Back-Up failed after about an hour.Second...After another hour, my 3G was restored with the new iOS 4.Third...Spent time playing with it, meaning I put apps into folders, since 3G's don't get the cool multi-tasking feature, background wallpaper, and I'm not paying extra for tethering. Anyway...All in all...Things seemed to be working correctly.
I use my iPhone as my alarm clock and have never had a problem that didn't involve operator error, until this morning. My alarm went off. Got up...Did my thing. Eventually I saw another clock and realized that the time on my iPhone was an hour behind!
I checked the settings and my Time/Date is...or was...set up for automatically update, but I have since switched that off to set it up manually, which has seemed to correct the issue.
Couple of things...First...Has anyone experienced something like this? Is this just an isolated incident?Second...Anyone else with a 3G notice a difference in signal quality. Multiple times last night my 3G was "Searching..." for a signal in a place that I've never encountered issues before. I thought this might have contributed to the error, but I wasn't sure.
I have noticed that my iphone's last backup was 10th Feb and the icloud backup tab is off, I try to switch it on and I get the message "icould backup failed"
For the past couple of weeks all of my imessages that contain photos or if I try to share a contact they come back as undeliverable. I have upgraded my phone and I am still having the same issue.
At the time of writing this im a awaiting yet another problem with power to this unit. I was talked into by a sales rep into buying another Xperia after experiencing the exact same problem with the older version as im now experiencing with my current model. I rely heavily on my phone and this is a massive inconvenience to me. The problem running out of power/charger not charging/ not being able to switch back on. Then the problem resolves itself only to happen again... And again... And again. This is not good enough. Funnily enough both models ive had problems with just after the warranty runs out. Leaving me with using my phone insurance not only making my phone insurance more expensive the following year but having to pay an excess charge.
I bought a Vivaz recently, however the clock on the phone slows down every few days. If I do a automatic time update status change to On, it updates and works fine. As soon as I shut it off, every few days it goes 10 to 15 min back. Has anyone faced issues like this or any resolution.
I tried to upgrade the iphone to ios 5.1.1 when the download was complete, phone went to recovery mode and the upgrade process failed, the phone never came back to normal mode.
i just discovered the Blackberry App World yesterday. I was downloading the new BBM, and my internet connection kept breaking up. Every time the internet failed, my BBM download would fail, and I restarted it. Unfortunately, it seems that all the downloading I did took up all my memory (even though I never completed loaded the application) and now I have no space on my blackberry to try to download the whole version of BBM! Does anyone know how I can delete these 'failed' downloads and get back several MBs of memory?
I was on Verizon with a Droid 2 when you did the 2.3.3 test a couple of weeks ago. On 10/9/2011 I moved to Sprint and bought a Photon 4G. I just updated my HEX MEID in this forum profile. My phone did the initial reboot but came back with Update Failed.Update Motorola Software says. An Update is currently being downloaded. You will be notified when the download is complete. There is no indication anything is happening. It's been this way for close to an hour now.
On my iPad, iPod Touch's and other Apple products (And releatives Apple products) it shows 00:00 as 00:00 and 01:00 as 01:00 but on my iPhone 4S, it shows 01:00 as 1:00. This only changed recently because I noticed. I don't know how to fix it.
I installed it last night because it looked interesting. Similar to the MobileMe Find My iPhone but free. Anyways, woke up today (8AM) to go to school. My classes are from 8:30AM-2:15PM. I only have a 1 hour break in which I listened to Slacker radio while I used library computer. When my last class of the day came around, I saw my battery meter, 8%! It then died 5 minutes later without no use whatsoever except that 1 hour of Slacker Radio and that's all!Nothing was running in the background or anything! So I warn you guys if you install still that it will SEVERELY bring your battery down.
After the clocks went forward again on Sunday morning my iPhone has yet again succumb to the bug of the hour delay in alarms. Has anyone else had this recentley happen again or is it just me? Also has anyone figured out a working fix for it
Ok so I start downloading the new update and everything is fine until it gets stuck on verifying for about an hour. I then decided to reboot using the home and off buttons… problem I have now is that it's stuck on the Apple logo and nothing will get rid of it! I've connected to iTunes and it's not seeing the phone…
I have iPhone 6 plus , i downloaded ring tones , ok for an hr , then they were gone , tried again and again ,same thing , was told i had already brought item , but carried on , they r in my ituines , but can not be synced.
I'm uploading all my pics and videos to my computer today and I set it to delete them off my phone after they are uploaded to the computer. I finish that. Then I unplug my my phone and go to camera roll. There is a video over an hour long that was filmed from my phones camera! You can see me picking up the phone, using it, setting it down, putting it in my pocket or on my leg, talking to others in the room etc. I absolutely was not in the camera app the whole time - I was doing other things. The phone has never been jailbroken or altered in any way.
Since I installed IOS 5.1, my standby battery drain per hour has increased to 15%.That means at 3 hours, I have drained almost half my battery.I have turned off most location and mail push to concerve my battery, but it still drains.IS a 15% per hour drain in standby battery normal?

I have had my iPhone 4 for nearly a year now and previously i have had no problems with the phone but over the past few weeks since i have done the ios:5 update.. It's been driving me insane. I lose signal when i need signal the most & it's also been cutting out all of my phone calls.
