I was coming from Stock rooted, modified boot.img, superSU 2.52Beta, ElementalX Kernel.
Fastboot flashed 6.0.1 Radio, System, Vendor, rebooted to TWRP 2.7.82, flashed modified SuperSU 2.61 systemless.
Everything works fine. Band 12 works fine. WiFi calling is enabled, turned on, and set to preferred.
Phone status reads IWLAN and network disconnected. WiFi data works.
I've seen a few treads addressing Wifi Calling, but they typically seem to address it in combination with other features (VoLTE, Band 12, etc) and not specifically on MetroPCS (yes, it is T-Mobile). My question:
I have both a Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. I have provided my E911 address for both phones and I can get WiFi calling to work on the 5X but not on the 6P. Both phones are rooted with the "N" build and both have the original radio (from "D") flashed for band 12.
The toggle is missing for WiFi calling, and the enhanced 4g lte toggle in settings after updating OTA 6.0.1.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been on the Pure Nexus rom for a while now and I wanted to try out the Screw'd Rom. So I downloaded and installed said rom. When It boots up and goes to the setup wizard I get no network data what so ever. I looked through the thread and it said to also flash the update vendor.zip. I did that hoping it would bring back my data but it didn't. So I decided to go back to the Pure Nexus rom, clean install, and again I have no network data. What I could do to get it back? I've tried messing with the APN settings but no dice. I should have made a back up before switching roms but unfortunately I forgot to do so.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my 6p yesterday and used skipsofts nrk to unlock and root the 6p. All fine and i am still getting the beginning splash screen saying device corrupt. I was reading in the purenexus rom thread and it said to flash the mdb08m vendor img. When I rooted I was and still am on Mdb08l. Am I able to flash that vendor img on the L or do I need to go up to M? Also is there a link or something on how to flash a vendor img and also where I would find it?
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn Chainfire's thread there is a link to a boot image for the MDB08K build of our phones, but nothing else. I personally have build number MDB08L and when I tried rooting the phone and flashing TWRP, I became stuck in a bootloop that I was eventually able to recover from. That was using the stock boot image for the MDB08L build number from Google's site.
My question simply is, how can we root any version other than the MDB08K build because we don't have a modified boot image of any other build.
This morning while at work i decided to try another ROM while I had some time. I have been running VRtoxin with no issues as of this morning. I downloaded the latest pure nexus and proceeded to advance wipe everything but storage. I flashed the rom and dynamic gapps. The phone booted up and seemed to be fine until i tried to open a few of the apps i use on a regular basis. When i went to open facebook, hangouts, google plus and some others i would get a notification that unfortunately the app was stopped. I tried rebooting and reinstalling pure nexus and kept getting the same messages. I finally got sick of it and decided to flash my back up i made this morning of VRtoxin. That's when the boot loops started. I have since then mounted system, advance wiped all but storage and tried to flash both VR and pure nexus. Neither will get past boot loop. I have waited 15+ minutes for each.

I had Blisspop on my oneplus one and it allowed me to do so, without the need to boot into recovery and flash the new image. I could just download and install the nightly updates thru the settings menu. I would love something like that for the Nexus 6P!
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs the title states, I flashed the lastest Cataclysm (stable) and ElementalX kernel(also TWRP asked me that SuperSU wasn't present and to flash it so I did, that might've messed it up), phone booted up fine and set my fingerprint password and everything. I decided to reboot my phone and the phone encrypted itself and now the ROM is force closing and I can't do anything. It asks for a password every time the recovery starts up (I tried default_password, no go) and TWRP won't let me decrypt.
So my question is, is there a way to decrypt without erasing userdata? Would really like to keep my internal storage. I have lots of important pictures and files.
Having issue with TWRP not erasing/flashing roms properly..I have a dark theme installed Domination Theme with the extras (MMS, contacts, etc) and i did a very clean install, normally I go Wipe > Advanced and select all partitions and format it.After flashing another rom, I noticed some parts are still dark themed like the MMS, Google search bar, contacts, etc
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I flashed the latest firmware, after being unlocked, then rent back to bootloader, flashed recovery, went to recovery and installed file. Then restarted...now stuck in boot loop. It booted before I went to flash recovery in the new firmware just fine.
Do you need to flash something else when you flash recovery?
it says device is corrupt when I restart, but I was under the impression that screen comes up when bootloader is unlocked, so not sure if it means anything...
I was restoring a twrp backup and when it reaches "flashing system image" in the restore process it just reboots. Ive tried a few things but cant get it going. It just bootloops.

I just received my Nexus 6p last night. It connected and ran just fine on my home network. I get to school this morning and I can not connect to the school wifi which uses 802.1x MSCHAPv2 authentication. My Computer and my friend's Note 4 next to me can connect with out issue.
I just tried to connect to our guest Wifi with the same problem. Instead of using MSCHAPv2 Auth, the guest WiFi uses a captive portal. I still can not obtain an IP address from either. It looks like it might be an incompatibility with the access point itself? This is really weird as 1 / 2 of the networks I have tried to connect to succeeded and one was a Asus router (my home). The access points I am having trouble with are Aerohive from what I read on them. I do not know what the controller specs are.
I have shut WiFi off the the settings pane and it still shows on in the battery monitor. I don't think it is using a lot of battery (hasn't shown up) but some of the stuff in the system shows WiFi usage when it is clearly shut off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Nexus 6P has the bootloader unlocked but is running completely stock, un-rooted, vanilla android (MDB08M). Project Fi is my carrier. When I am at home and on *most* wireless networks, I see no issue. While I am at work, my wifi constantly disconnects and reconnects. I will pick up my phone, and it will either A) not have wifi (though I have previously been connected) and quickly reconnects or B) Will have wifi, but after some amount of use, will disconnect from wifi, then reconnect a few seconds later.
I've tried all the simple items:Making sure "Keep wifi on during sleep" or whatever the setting is is turned on turn off optimization on Google Connectivity Services
I turned on verbose wifi logs and was able to catch a logcat of when the issue occured. The disconnect occured at almost exactly 9:29:00, as I saw my wifi go out and then almost immediately after the clock tick 9:29.
I can't find anything in particular that stands out as the cause or leads to a solution.
I assume it is some misunderstanding between my job's wireless network and my phone. My previous phone (Nexus 4) had none of these issues. I am unclear on whether this is a Marshmallow issue, Project Fi issue, or what software might be causing it. Since it only happens on this certain network, I am making the assumption it is most likely software and not a faulty wireless chip. I have no control over the wireless configuration of the network, so anything on that end is a non-starter.

Since the latest Jan security patch, my apps will not update over wifi at home. It keeps saying downloading for ever. The moment I turn wifi off, apps download just fine on 4g.
Nexus 6p all stock and on Jan security patch. I have reset my router twice and still nothing.

I can see the network but cannot connect or turn off the WiFi. The only way for me to fix it short of a reboot is to turn on airplane mode turn off WiFi then turn off airplane nice. Otherwise the phone had been perfect. Stock non rooted.

But, turns out, turning hotspot on will turn off the Wifi automatically. This seems to be a unsolvable problem?
Problem:I'm trying to connect my phone to a LCD display in my car. The car display has a video input. So, if I can connect Chromecast with a HDMI to video converter, then I can have my phone control that display. I don't necessarily have to use Chromecast, I can use whatever... like Amazon fire stick or something if those are better for this purpose.
