I can no longer delete an individual text message There is no trash can. This very important to me. Seems as though Apple took that feature away, or I'm not finding it.
I want to delete part of a text conversation thread and when selecting More then checking circles there is no longer a trash can, only option is delete all.Â
I have an iPhone 4 with Verizon service. I am trying to delete a large text message conversation, but it shuts down my phone. What can I do to delete the stream of messages in total, without doing it one by one.
I have received two (2) different text message with only the sender address and the message is blank....they will not delete. cannot highlight message field and no option to delete only to close application
I have a empty SMS text message that will not delete. I click delete and also have done delete prior and its gone, but as soon as I pull my battery and it turns on its there again.
I have upgraded my X10a to 2.3.3 about two months ago without incident, so I don't know if this problem has anything to do with the upgrade itself since I did not have this problem in 2.1. However, I cannot delete text message conversations in the 2.3.3 stock rom. This is what is happening: when I attempt to delete a message it goes through the cycle but the message still appears with a subject "no subject", a date of "12/31/1969" and a time "19:00" in Handcent SMS. In Messaging I have opened blank messages and pressed delete conversation and then confirm to delete, but the result is message deleted. When I review all my conversations, the message I just deleted still appears in messaging. I have cleared both the Messaging and Handcent SMS application's data and cache. Rebooted the phone and guess what; all the conversations remain. What gives..
I did do a search on this before I posted it, however the one thread out there really didnt answer my question so sorry for the re - post. Does anyone know how or if you can delete the option to receive a text message when getting and deleting a visual voicemail? Previous post stated that you can't do it or that it was a bug. thought now that some time went by someone might have came up with a fix.
Love my new Lumia 900. One odd issue I can't solve and AT&T can't solve. They referred me to Nokia. When I check a voice mail and delete it, I get a blank text message from 1-(000)-000-0000. I get one for every deleted voice mail. AT&T says there is no setting for this.
I just want to know if there is a way that I can open my text message "inbox" without haivng to open a new text message that I have. I used to have a droid. When I clicked on the message icon, it would open to the full inbox, just not the conversation with the new text message. I want to know if there is a way I can do this with my iPhone as well.
The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.
Received Text message failure due to low signal and now my iPhone will not resend the message and will not send any other messages to the same number - all happened after moving up to iOS.5
I Often times I'll get a " message failed" message while trying to send text or iMessages to friends. The only way it'll eventually send is if I dekete tge entire message thread. Any way I can fix this problem on my iPhone 6 plus?
I'm thinking of abandoning the I-Phone altogether because of two annoyances that get only worse, not better, with time. But if any newer I-Phone (I currently have the 3GS) has removed these annoyances, I will upgrade.
1. I want txt alerts to continue (every minute or two) until I have opened and read a text message. Does any model I-Phone allow for this?
2. I want to disable predictive text as I don't like the I-Phone algorhthym for this -- it causes me endless grief. Which model allows for this?
3. I want my battery to last a minimum of 2 days without charging (I've tried all the usual ways of reducing battery consumption and the result does not meet my needs). Does any model I-Phone allow for this?
His text message gets interrupted halfway through by an old message he sent before (be it a previous message from a few minutes ago or from weeks ago!) It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. It's getting so frustrating cos I have to keep asking him to text me again and a lot of the time I just get another 'cracked' text!
One of my contacts has sent me 2 text messages and I get the audible notification of the message and a time stamp, but only a "white bubble" with no message. I have contacted my service provider and they have conducted tests on my phone and I can send and receive messages. why the messages sent from this one contact are not coming through?
When I try to forward a text message to more than 10 people by using the contacts menu to select the recipients, the message changes from text message to multimedia message.
Since, I do not have a subscription for multimedia messages with my service provider, the message remains in the outbox and never gets sent.
Can someone advice why the text message converts to multimedia message? How to prevent this from happening everytime I send/forward text message to more than 10 people from the contacts list?
Iphone 5 - I am trying to delete message threads and once I do, I go to text someone else and it won't send. I just don't want those messages on my phone anymore. I have tried to restart my phone but when I do, the "deleted" threads show back up on my phone. I use iOS 7.1.
I am running out of space on both my iPhone and iPad. When i go to the usage in setting on both devices at the top using the most memory is messages. How do i delete this data to free up some space?
Everytime I try to delete my voice messages from the deleted messages file it boots out of it and wont delete them. What can I do other then restore th phone?
Basically, every single time I try to delete a chat with someone my phone or just the Messages app freezes. I cannot even use the app once I attempt to delete a chat with someone. I end up in the "New Message" screen and it does not go away until I restart my phone. I cannot navigate through my phone at all once I'm on the "New Message" screen. I always have to resort to restarting my phone.Â
I have restored my phone to factory settings then backed it up with whatever is saved. I don't want to restore it to factory settings completely without the backup plan because I have invested a lot into this phone. Â
Also, this started occurring right after I updated to iOS 7.1.2. I thought Apple could do me no wrong... I guess I was just one of the lucky few.
