Jun 18, 2012I have an email message that has been trying to send for 3 days and is stuck in my outbox. How do I delete it?

Aug 4, 2011I am having an issue where if I am using the email client with my work MS Exchange email. If I try to forward an email with an attachment from my phone, the message sends but is hung up in the outbox and I receive message failed retry.The phone continues to resend(successfully) every ~3 minutes and continues to disply message failed to send notification in the notification bar.
There is no way to delete the message from outbox (i try and says can't be deleted while sending) or otherwise stop this retry function.I have now send 20+ large emails to 2 different people.The only way I have found to fix is to delete the account and setup again.

Mar 16, 2012Yesterday, I was sending emails from my iphone 4s, I would get an error message saying "a copy has been placed in your outbox. Verify that you have addressed the message correctly. Check you SMTP settings in mail preferences and verify advanced settings with system administrator" The emails stayed in my outbox until today and then finally sent. Is this an issue with my phone? My service provider,Verizon? or my email hosting company , 1&1?

Oct 21, 2010I just bought a N8 and have a little problem with a message. As I did not have a proper connection when I sent it the message went to the outbox. Now its stuck there.Its not sent and I can't delete it. In 'Google' I was reading that older Nokia phones had also this problem. But the N8 is brand new, so how can this happen ? Will Nokia make an update any time soon or have you folks an other solution for me ?

Aug 22, 2014Basically, every single time I try to delete a chat with someone my phone or just the Messages app freezes. I cannot even use the app once I attempt to delete a chat with someone. I end up in the "New Message" screen and it does not go away until I restart my phone. I cannot navigate through my phone at all once I'm on the "New Message" screen. I always have to resort to restarting my phone.Â
I have restored my phone to factory settings then backed it up with whatever is saved. I don't want to restore it to factory settings completely without the backup plan because I have invested a lot into this phone. Â
Also, this started occurring right after I updated to iOS 7.1.2. I thought Apple could do me no wrong... I guess I was just one of the lucky few.

When I "send" an e-mail, it goes to the Outbox. I then have to go to the outbox, open up the e-mail, and click send again before the e-mail sends.
