I have an iPhone 4 with Verizon service. I am trying to delete a large text message conversation, but it shuts down my phone. What can I do to delete the stream of messages in total, without doing it one by one.

I accidentally deleted an entire correspondence (conversation) by accidentally hitting the "clear all" button. <Side note: Apple really needs an undo option here or a password confirmation before it just deletes it! I have done some searching through the web and discovered that even "deleted texts" are still embedded deep within the phone.
I need the steps to recovery the messages. Unfortunately, I thought that my phone was syncing daily with my laptop, but it looks as if it was not automatically set up. iTunes would open up and want to sync apps, but apparently not the messages. I don't know enough about iCloud to know if it would be possible to pull the old texts from there, but I'm pretty desperate.
I've downloaded Decipher Textmessage recovery and Wondershare, but as they both initially couldn't pull anything from iTunes, I did not push it further as I thought best to stay in holding mode. I know there is the iPhone Recovery Stick from ProofPronto but it's uber expensive and so if there is another way, I would rather go that route.

While texting yesterday I noticed that if I was typing (had the keyboard showing) and an incoming message arrived within my conversation, that the keyboard is forcibly closed. Thinking it was my built in LG messenger app, I downloaded the Go SMS Pro, Handcent SMS, Chomps, and Google Messenger apps. They all behave the same way.
I then tested my wife's iPhone. When she gets incoming messages they just show up, without forcing the keyboard to close.
So, is this the way it is supposed to work? I have never noticed it before. Could this be a LG upgrade-to-Lollipop issue?
I can no longer delete an individual text message There is no trash can. This very important to me. Seems as though Apple took that feature away, or I'm not finding it.

However, I cannot delete text message conversations in the 2.3.3 stock rom. This is what is happening: when I attempt to delete a message it goes through the cycle but the message still appears with a subject "no subject", a date of "12/31/1969" and a time "19:00" in Handcent SMS. In Messaging I have opened blank messages and pressed delete conversation and then confirm to delete, but the result is message deleted. When I review all my conversations, the message I just deleted still appears in messaging. I have cleared both the Messaging and Handcent SMS application's data and cache. In his iPhone Settings, under Accessibility, my boss has his Large Text set at 32pt font. However, about half of his work emails come through in the large font, and half do not (they come through in 5pt font, it's really small). The email is an Microsoft Exchange email, and I've had my fair share of problems working on an iPhone with an Exchange account, but this seems odd as there doesn't seem to be a reason why some emails come through in 32pt font, and other's don't. I don't know if it has anything to do with the length of the chain of the email, like 40 email responses come through small whereas an email chain of 5 responses comes through in 32pt. AppleCare had no idea, and did some troubleshooting (e.g. rebooting and try to reset all preferences) which didn't work.

Does anyone know how or if you can delete the option to receive a text message when getting and deleting a visual voicemail? Previous post stated that you can't do it or that it was a bug. thought now that some time went by someone might have came up with a fix.

1st problem: I moved from german to sweden recently, and now whenever I get messages from my german friends and a notification comes at the top of the screen, i click on it and it goes to a new message instead of opening the conversation.Â
2nd problem: I also have to save my friends' numbers twice under mobil and iphone once with 0 and once with +49 because otherwise it just shows their number instead of the name i have saved in my phone.
