Google Now Launcher support appears to be coming to more devices | Android Central
I'm puzzled by this article. Apparently the Google now her is now compatible with the M8. But don't I already have it?
I got an apk file of the new Google Now Launcher which is an official launcher by Google and I couldn't find how to hide useless apps which cannot be uninstalled.
Is there a way to hide them? I thought I should post here if the Nexus 5 users know how to do it.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus GT-I9105. It's not rooted and I never will.
I switched to Google Now Launcher but the lock screen is still Sense. How do I change the lock screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen this addressed anywhere and I may be the only one having this issue. I downloaded the Google now launcher for my S6 today. It seems to be installed properly and I see the shortcut for it. If I go into settings and try to set it for the default launcher it's nowhere to be found. I see TouchWiz, action launcher, and Nova but no Google Now.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently started using the Google now launcher and for some reason whenever I unlock my phone a random app will open on its own. It's always an app that's on the screen. For example if I have a screen with only Google play and camera icons on it, when I unlock the screen via fingerprint, one of those 2 apps will open up. It doesn't open the icons in my dock, just the ones in the screen. I have already cleared app cache and system cache (recovery mode).

I used to use the Nova launcher b/c you could customize the heck out of it, but with the Nexus 5 I'm really happy with the stock Launcher and it's integration with Google Now. If you do, what kind of district controls do you use? I personally dislike the default launcher on the G3 so i went to nova launcher which is my favorite. I am using the Ultimate L icon pack which i would highly recommend as it looks great.

View -1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo this morning I woke up to my phone on a boot loop on the Google Logo. I have no custom roms or mods on it other than I am running ART. I suspect it could be battery related as it will only seem to do this on the charger but when I don't have it plugged in it won't even start up. When it's plugged in it won't even seem to want to stay "off", it boots up to the google logo on its own. If I hold down the volume rocker I can get into the bootloader but it resets before I can select anything and boots right back into the google logo.

My s6 keeps periodically prompting me to choose a default launcher. Phone worked fine yesterday and now today all of a sudden it can't remember what launcher I set as a preference. Periodically when I press the home button I am asked to choose between the normal touchwhiz launcher and the touchwhiz easy launcher. It is pretty annoying. I have no 3rd party launchersupplies installed I just don't understand.

I really like the home screen on my mini pro, but the launcher screen is really annoying. I now have 7 pages of apps, and there is no way to go directly to any particular page.. I am tired of always swiping through page after page. It won't even loop around, so if I'm on the first page and want to go to the last, I can't just go backwards one page.
All of the things I've found to change the launcher also change the home screen. I don't want to change anything but the launcher.Does anyone know if a way to change the app launcher screen without changing anything else? I would love to have the ability to go directly to a page and to have the pages loop.. or, one or the other even. Or else perhaps a 4x4 grid instead of 3x4.
