Jun 9, 2015I'm not sure this is normal.. Every time I get an updates. My apps moved back to phone storage instead of MICROSD.

Dec 19, 2014I had a sandisk SD card. Moved picture folders from device to SD card and LOST a ton of them. Read online I needed an official Samsung SD card so I bought one. Put it in yesterday and transferred pics over - so far so good.
Moved apps over to SD card using recommendations I read online, by going into device manager and now the apps are greyed out. They eventually work when you click them but their main icon isn't showing. Widgets I once had on home screens are also gone for those apps moved to SD card.

Oct 15, 2011I've just installed the app 2 SD which moves your moveable apps to SD card. When I moved them to SD, went back to external SD and they don't appear to be there?
I've moved them manually by manage applications? Move to SD and I still can't see them?
Also I've created a folder on my SD card called "Camera" for my pics and videos. Set storage for camera to be on memory card. When I take a pic it saves pics and vids under DCIM in the external SD card. Is there no way to save pictures OTHER THAN DCIM? Even rename it won't work?

Aug 25, 2010I changed the settings at Messaging > Options > Settings > Other > Memory In Use. It was Phone memory so I changed to memory card. It moved all SMS to memory card.Then I received an SMS. When I clicked the SMS icon to open it, an error appeared on screen "cannot access messages on memory card. Changing memory to Phone memory" and then I could open the message. But all the old messages were not in the inbox. Only the new sms was present.I went to the settings again and changed to memory card. Now I can access the old sms but not the new sms stored in phone memory.How do I set options so that all SMS are stored in memory card by default?

Jun 6, 2015My Samsung Galaxy S5 memory was getting full so I moved 7.6 GB worth of photos onto my SD card (a 64GB micro SD card). It all went through fine and I could see that the photos had been moved to the SD card.
I went back to my the "Images" icon under the "My Files" icon and deleted them off what I thought was my internal phone's memory.
On reopening the SD card contents I have lost ALL the photos I moved plus other photos I'd previously moved to my SD card. How do I get these back???

Feb 6, 2015After the latest upgrade, 5.1.1, I had to reinstall due to problems with the volum buttom. No problem with the buttom any more, but now Spotify and a few other apps wont save offline lists to SD card. That was never a problem earlier. I have tried to delete cache and log out which was adviced on another thread, but no luck.

Nov 6, 2014I've been downloading music with uTorrent for a while now with no issues. I download the music and it defaults to my download folder on the device. I then manually move it to the SD card and everything is great. Now suddenly when I move it to the SD card, it won't show up in the music app. If I leave it on the device it is fine but once I move it to my music folder on the SD card, it won't show up.
I am using the stock music app but I checked the Google play music app and it doesn't show up there either. The only way I can get it to show up is to plug into my computer, copy the folder to it and then put it in my iTunes. Then I have to copy it from iTunes folder back to the SD card and it shows up. I've also tried unmounting, removing and remounting the SD card and that worked as well. Both of those solutions are super irritating, especially since it has been working great for ages and now is just not working all of a sudden.

Jun 3, 2015I took some videos last night when I went to a concert. My internal memory was getting full so it recommended moving them to the SD card which I did. Now I can't view the files and it won't play in any different video applications that I have downloaded. I reformatted the sd card after backing it up and still nothing! Why is this when I can see the files on my phone. They are there but won't play. I haven't done anything wrong! I literally am frustrated and want my videos back.

Today I tried moving instagram and fb messenger to the sd card from phone memory and when I tried opening those apps they froze where I had to remove the battery . After I removed the battery they started working fine .. Any benefits into moving apps to sd card ?? or should I try to leave all the apps on phone memory ..

Jul 3, 2010I have an Xperia Z5 compact. This was playing my music apps find for the first 3 days. Then it started to glitch, by stopping my music playback if I turned the phone 90 degrees one way or another as well as playing back through the phone speakers when the headphone is plugged into the jack.
I've tried trouble shooting mentioned on other parts of this forum. I didn't have the google maps "shake to send feedback" feature on, and this behavior is happening on multiple music apps (Podcast Addict, Google Music, Sony Music, Spotify, etc). So this seems to be a problem native to the phone, not a third party application.

Jan 19, 2015I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon, currently running Android v4.4.4. Due to battery life that's gone down to about 7 hours from an initial average of about 11, I decided it was time to reset my phone to see if that might work (though I've taken to the less nuclear option of allowing Google to restore my apps and app data from Google's backup).
Before the reset, I'd had almost every app that could be moved to the SD card moved to the SD card.
The reset did not affect the SD card.Now, I'd like to move all my apps that can be so moved, moved onto the SD card again. My question is, since the reset did not affect my SD card (I'd even removed it for one of the two resets that I've done since last night), is there app stuff from my previous installation on my SD card, stuff that I should be able to delete now to make space for my new set of apps that I want to move to the card?If so, how do I clear out that old app stuff?
I assume that I need to...If I had Audible installed on the card before, and I now have Audible in my phone's internal storage, if I move it to the card, is there any chance that it'll recognize the previous installation, re-associate itself with it, and thus save me the time of downloading previously downloaded audiobooks?
