I got my HTC One four days ago and I love it to bits. My problem? The Sync Manager. Since last night, it would crash every time I tried to sync my phone to it.
I would like to remove the media I placed on there with the manager and delete it for good. How to do this without going through the program? Also, which software I can use to sync my phone? If not, I can continue with the copy and drop method .
At work, we use Novell Groupwise. Calendar syncs fine, but BB Desktop Manager crashes when I sync addresses. I can load one-way from the computer to the BB, but not the other way. I may have a corrupt address, but haven't been able to get it all to work. What do I do to stop this?
How to use HTC Sync manager. When my One is plugged in and I open Sync Manager, the only thing that happens is in the bottom right corner I see a capacity. The rest stays more or less blank, none of the buttons do anything, nothing happens.
I just got my HTC One M8 yesterday and had problems installing the HTC sync manager software, but eventually it worked and I was able to put some music on my phone. Anytime I try to connect to Sync Manager since, it loads my music and says "phone connected (loading data...)". This screen will last for at least twenty minutes until I run out of patience and quit the program.
So a couple of days ago i rooted my phone. i had made sure that i backed up everything through HTC sync manager. well after the rooting process was complete, htc sync is no longer recognizing my phone. I tried re-installing it on the phone again, deleted all the drivers on the computer and re-installed them. nothing works. i need to restore my phone back on here. Is there another program that i need to use. I'm using a MacBook Pro.
I am trying to re-install Blackberry desktop software but its driving me crazy, it keeps crashing and keeps asking me to install "Microsoft.Net Framework 3.1 SP1". For some reason it does not recognise that I have already installed this ( btw I use windows vista with MS Office 2007). I have also fully deleted from programs and reinstalled the BB desktop but same result each time. It takes hours when I try to install 3.1 SP1 and says "estimated time reaming= 0 sec and below this appears a line "2432 kb of 2890kb downloaded at 608.0kb/sec and stays on this message for hours without doing anything.
I love my BB Torch, but I'm about to take it back just because I can't get desktop manager 6 working. everytime I start it on my windows 7 computer, it crashes. I've installed it, reinstalled it, and rebooted my computer so many times in the last 2 days that I'm shocked the power button is still working ont he computer. at least desktop manager 5 worked with my blackberry bold. I tried to email RIM and ask them about the issue, but after sifting through all the crap on their web page, I finally gave up.
Basically my original HTC One got quite damaged, and so I bought a slightly used unlocked version (one where the screen and case wasn't near destroyed, as my original). However, since getting the phone I have constantly been trying to hook it up to PC via USB cable in order to, simply, transfer some music. My computer will not recognise my new phone as a htc (only "Android Phone"). It will also not allow me to find (automatically/manually) the drivers.
Now this is pretty much the same problem with both phones, so I highly doubt it is a fault with the new one I just purchased. I have tried multiple usb ports in my computer, searched the entire internet for answers, downloaded drivers and manually tried to find them to no avail, uninstalled/reinstalled the sync manager numerous times but it still will not find the phone. I cannot understand this at all. It's always been as easy as, attaching a usb cable and then even using WMP to sync music files, or even drag them in manually. But my computer will not recognise any HTC one, or allow me to find the drivers.
I just installed Desktop Manager 6.0 today as an upgrade from the previous version. However, when I try to start the program with or without the phone attached to the computer it crashes immediately. I have uninstalled the software and re-downloaded it and installed it again all 5 times and it continues to crash as soon as I start it. After uninstalling it the 2nd time I was very careful and deleted any sign of the software on my computer and that hasn't helped either. I have been making sure to re-boot in between installations. I am running Windows 7.0 64 bit with 4 GB of RAM and a Core Duo 2.5 GHz processor.
Now every time i load up chrome. If crashes within 10 seconds using about 1Gb of RAM and 50% cpu. so chrome is totally unusable for me.
What i have done is -exported all bookmarks from chrome desktop -deleted all sync data -removed chrome completely from desktop and laptop -fully reinstalled android on my phone -reinstalled chrome on devices -imported bookmarks via desktop -let them all resync
Still got the issue. Huge memory leak and crashing.
When I try to sync my contacts the desktop manager reads all the contacts on the blackberry and on Outlook but when it finally comes to syncing up it says 'unable to access local folders. If your outlook profile uses a hotmail connector, you much create a local data store.' I do not use a hotmail connector so I don't know what to do to make this work.
what the hell, it's too much!! is there a way to remove at least one of them from the list? I know that it's possible to remove "USB debugging connected" but if I disable it the HTC Sync manager does not recognize my device until I enable it.
I cannot sync my Outlook calendar when using BB desktop Manager. I get a error message pop up window saying "Intellisync" "Connector error" The the synchronization is cancelled.
I am on a personal contract and this is not connected through BB enterprise. My e-mail accounts are fine and I get these on my BB
I recently bought a new Macbook Air and love the machine running Mavericks. However, it now seems that when I use HTC Sync Manager to sync my photos with my HTC One phone, two issues occur:
1) It often doesn't seem to recognize my phone is connected even though it says it is. So I have to unplug the phone and restart HTC Sync Manager again. Sometimes several times before it recognizes it.
2) Each time I sync it the HTC Sync Manager duplicates my photos in iPhoto. WTF is that??? So I have to go into iPhoto and delete all the dupes.
I've bought a new PC and I'm ripping my CD's for future transfer to my HTC phone. Until a few days ago I've been able to use the HTC Sync Manger's "Update song information" function (powered by Gracenote) to get the album art. It's been successful for the last ~50 albums however it has not worked for the last 7.
I've tried; -Repeated attempts to Update song information (I was connected to the internet) -Restarting my computer -Uninstalling HTC Sync Manager, then reinstalling the latest version from the HTC website
Having a problem when trying to sync my 9810 torch to my desktop software manager as I do not recall password. I tried the 3 attempts but failed. All my data was lost but I was able to recover data from a previous backup in June.I Do not want this to happen again so what should I do , system on software manager does not mention how to change or recover password Note: I removed device already from software manager but it still ask for a password to re-connect?
I downloaded Desktop Manager version 6 per a prompt from version 5 to update my software. Now everytime I sync my BB, it erases my wallpaper and sets it to the default. Totally irritating! My phone is a 9000 Blackberry Bold, my service provider is AT&T.
Carrier: Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330 Recently I upgraded my Desktop Manager to Version 6.0.0.40 and now I can't transfer media files to my Curve 8330.One thing I tried was to update my device OS to 4.5.0.175, this did not work. The DM shows that Media Options are not available, that I have to trun on mass storage mode from the device.Under the options menu on my 8330, I open Media Card and sure enough Media Card Support is On, Mass Storage Support is On, and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode is On (I've tried when I switch to Prompt, but that did not work either).I've removed the media card, reinserted it, reformatted it, made sure it was recognized by my device (it is), so obviously the problem is with the Desktop Manager. With previous versions, I had no problems with Media Sync, only with the new DM version. The DM will recognize my device when plugged in via USB and I can sync my Organizer with no issues. What else can I try to get my DM - Media Sync to work with my 8330?
I have a Blackberry 9300 Curve. When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
I do not have wireless sync capabilities so I need to do it through Desktop manager and when I try it says:"Synchronization is currently unavailable for:Address Book Because the application is configured for wireless synchronization Desktop Sync for the above application will be disabled click help for information an how to disable wireless Synchronization on your device" "If wireless data synchronization is available for your BlackBerry® device, but you want to synchronize your organizer data using the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager, verify that wireless data synchronization is turned off on your device. Click Help on your device for more information about wireless data synchronization."
have had my Pearl Flip for less than 6 months. The Desktop Manager & Media Sync have NEVER worked completely, even ater many, many uninstalls and re-installs. BB Pearl 8220 Flip EDGE Wi-Fi v 4.6.0.222 (Platform 4.1.0.80)
I am trying to sync my Yahoo calendar with my Blackberry Bold 9700 via the Blackberry Desktop Manager (version 5.0.1) and am getting the error message "Connection to Yahoo server was lost" when the calendar sync is occurring. The only option on the screen is to press "OK". Once "OK" is pressed, the Blackberry Desktop Manager returns to the synchronization screen. The address book syncs successfully, but the calendar does not. I have tried syncing one way and both ways without success.
A few notes about the environment: I am using the newer version of Yahoo Calendar which I have seen recommended on other postings. I am using standard Yahoo not the small biz version. I have seen this recommended, too.I am connecting my Blackberry Bold 9700 to my laptop via the USB cable that is supplied by Blackberry.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700.I run Outlook 2010 and Plaxo. How can I get BlackBerry Desktop Manager to sync my contacts and Calendar with either of these applications?
Since this month, I have not been able to sync my BB calendar and contacts with my Yahoo account using the BB desktop manager. The process starts, but it never passes the address book part (it freezes and eventually crashes). I contacted Yahoo and they referred me to their Yahoo Intellisync. Which they don't support. I would switch to Google, but I recently changed my e-mail account; doing so one more time would be bad for business.
I have an 8310 that has been syncing just fine wtih my MC Outlook 2007 calendar (on XP SP3) - until the last week. I have changed nothing that I know of - other than a month+ ago, updated the BB device to the current, but it was still working fine after that upgrade.Last week my entries that I had in my outlook synced to my BB, but were then delted from outllook and I can not get them to sync back to outlook. I have changed the sync settings to sync to one-way and two-way - nothing seems to get them back to my outlook.I have just tried updating destop manager to 5.0.1.37 - still nothing.
I have recently purchased a new laptop that uses the Windows 7 operating system. I downloaded Desktop Manager for this new PC and when I try to configure the synchronization with my Blackberry to Outlook 2007 I keep getting a runtime error.
I spoke with technical support at Verizon and they told me that I was not able to sync my Blackberry to Outlook because it is not yet compatible with Windows 7.
Can anyone verify if that is true and know if Blackberry will soon be able to use all sync options - email, contacts, etc. - with Windows 7? I know have to continue to sync with another PC.
