Jul 10, 2012For Torch 9800: only the touch screen buttons are working. The entire keypad and the top 5 buttons (menu, send, etc) were not working. Sep 14, 2011One of the big benefits of these phones is the ability to stay on top of email. I have a yahoo account and I have it loaded into my messaging app. Over the year that I've had this phone my yahoo occasionally has become deathly silent. Of coarse the android is not updating or even connecting to my account. This happened on average every couple of months. I've done a few things to try to get it back including deleting and reloading the account, updating the android os, messing with email settings. It usually eventually comes back on its own...within a couple of days. Its now getting to the point where I lose connectivity every week or two and its gone for that much time. This is really annoying and I don't keep on top of my emails nearly as effectively. I need to fix this. I'm not seeing alot of posts with the same issue though.

Apr 15, 2012I have an iPhone 4 with an SFR (French operator) SIM card. Since Friday my iDevice has had the following behaviour:
- 3G connectivity cannot be used with applications: for example, Safari cannot load a page when 3G is selected (3G icon near my operator name at the top of screen with 5 bars).
- When I reboot my device, the apps can use 3G for about 5 minutes and then 3G connectivity disappears but I STILL have the 3G icon.
- Curiously, if I disable 3G connectivity in "Settings" in order to force EDGE or GPRS then the device still maintains the EDGE/GRPS connectivity (apps can have access to the network). Wifi works also very fine.
Thus my conclusion is that 3G hardware module is OK since this module is the same for 3G/EDGE/GPRS systems (same antenna for the 3 systems) and since I can connect to 3G for at least 5 minutes. I did tge test with the NetSpeed app and I can reach good speeds (of course during 5 minutes max !). So far, I have not tried with another SIM card. I have tried far away (10 kilometers from my home) and I have the same issue, thus this is not a network bug for a given GSM cell. I wonder whether I must try a device restoring.

Aug 5, 2015So this just started today. I just unplugged my S6 from my charger, after charging it from heavy usage a few hours ago. I boot it up, and a minute later I notice that my battery has dropped by 2%. A few seconds pass and now the device was at 97%. I was puzzled and was wondering if my battery life was getting bad.

May 11, 2012Since updating my Iphone 4S to 5.1.1. I lose about 2% of battery every 5 minutes. Before I updated I could go the whole day without a charge. Now I must leave it plugged in at my desk all day. I double click the home button and close out apps when I'm done, so I have nothing running in the background.

Oct 18, 2015I just got the international Z5c, model E5823, which supports both tmo us LTE bands in my area (bands 2 and 12). When I have preferred network type set to 3G, I get more bars and have data connectivity. When I switch it to 4G, the bars go down to 1 or 2, and I get no data.

I did a logcat while switching from 3G to 4G and noticed that while switching, the icon switches between H+ and H, then eventually drops out. I'm still trying to see if there is anything useful in the logcat, but the one thing I noticed that seemed interesting was D/StatusBar.NetworkController( 2598): updateIconSet, voice network type is: 13/LTE, data network type is: 13/LTETo me, this looks like I might be seeing issues with some failed attempt to use voice over lte (as this phone supports it).

Apr 5, 2010I have been monitoring my E75 for a while now (>2 months), and it seems with the firmware 202.12.01, the ongoing call (conversation) will get drops whenever there is mysterious 3.5G data connectivity in the background. I have checked all the settings available and has set to 'always ask' before connecting to ISP 3/3.5G data connection. I am unable to determine which application is the culprit for the connectivity whenever it occurs. All I can see under connection wizard is that there is 3/3.5G data connection with traffic growing whenever there is a call drop. As there is no newer firmware than 202.12.01, wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issue.

Jul 7, 2010Ever since I upgraded to iOS4.0, my iphone 3GS has been losing its internet connection over 3G.The 3G indicator remains lit on the display, however when trying to surf or use an app that requires internet, it simply times out. In order to get my internet back I need to reboot the phone, or switch airplane mode on, then off.It seems to occur after I leave the house, so it may be that the phone is having trouble automatically switching from Wifi to 3G.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the issue?

Jun 12, 2012I am having an awful time loosing cellular data - can't send or receive text messages, use Safari or Find my Friends etc. I came into the forums looking for help and found posts about the personal hotspot constantly spinning. I looked at mine and it was too. I did a hard reset and it finally stopped. Immediately I got connectivity back. I don't know if that is causing my loosing internet or not but it seems coincidence that when it stopped spinning I got it back.Simply going into and out of airplane mode and toggling cellular data on and off never restores connectivity. Often it will restore when I leave the building. But I have 3-4 bars of signal and 4G listed as available when I'm inside.Also, something is chewing up my battery. I was at 100% when I left the house at 8 am and at 65% at 10 am with the phone sitting on the desk doing nothing.

Jun 18, 2012My new MacBook pro has just arrived, and I'm now faced with the challenge of moving my iTunes library from my old windows PC to the mac. I have been able to move everything but the iPhone.
I'm sure you are aware, syncing the iPhone with a new computer requires the data to be erased, but I'd like to retain my data, especially the game saves on my iPhone, angry birds etc.
So how would I go about doing this? Do I need to back up my iPhone on my PC, transfer the backup file and restore on the new mac?

Jun 30, 2010Does anyone have a weird issue of data dropping completely during the call? When I place a call the 3g icon disappears completely and nothing that requires data works until I hung up. Once I hang up the 3g service is restored pretty much instantly. Also the top of the phone where earpiece is gets very hot during the call. I called apple and they told me to come to the store and get a replacement. I just wanted to confirm if this problem is widespread as I will be getting the replacement from the same store. I guess it might be relevant - I am using a bumper case.
My girlfriend's phone (bought through vodafone rather than apple store) doesn't have this issue.
On another issue (or non-issue) I also noticed that my front camera is a lot less saturated that hers for some reason. When I place a facetime call and hold both phones together, the colors are very different . Hers is slightly over saturated and mine doesn't have any vibrancy to colors at all. Not sure what to make of it but there might be different sensors on iPhones (I remember reading somewhere that there is not enough production of 5mp sensors at any single factory)
