May 12, 2013I used Google now to set a voice reminder for an event tomorrow. Where are those kept so I can view them?

View 24 RepliesWhenever I try to add reminders via Google Now, I keep getting the message "can't reach Google at the moment". This happens on WiFi and mobile data and have rebooted the phone to check if that may solve it (never know...).
I can add reminders via Google Keep however being able to add reminders directly from the home screen simply by talking is so much easier than adding them via Keep.I've tried looking through the Google product forums however the content never seems to load on the page.
No matter which type of reminder I set (when or where) or whether I do it by voice or text, they won't notify me. I get a card on Google now showing up but no notification sound or anything in the notification tray. I have notifications turned on in Google Now settings.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI really need my Google Now functions and reminders as they save me a lot of problems in my life. Constantly I have the problem that Device cannot reach Google and reminders cannot be saved! It doesn't matter if I am on Wifi or data.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is a problem with the Calendar app, Hangouts, my Nexus 5, AT&T, or Google Calendar on the web. I'm using my Nexus 5 and the built-in Calendar app to sync my phone calendar to the online (web) Google calendar (www.google.com/calendar). For almost all of my events, I've got a Reminder set on the web version to send an SMS to my phone via my standard AT&T, Hangouts-verified phone number. Up until a few days ago, I've gotten these SMS reminders without issue. Suddenly, I'm not getting all of them (I get some, but not all). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes they'll arrive, sometimes they won't. Looking at the events in the Calendar show the Reminders are still set up. Rebooting the phone doesn't seem to work?
Also, as I was checking the settings on the phone to see if any of those could be causing the problem, I noticed a setting in the Calendar app for "Pop-up notifications" (Calendar app | 3-dot menu | Settings | "General settings" | Notifications | "Pop-up notification"). I turned it on, but it doesn't seem to do anything (I get no pop-up notifications when one of my Calendar events fire).
I am on a Galaxy S5, in the UK on EE. Running Lollipop 5.0 but with a new update that has fixed the no silent mode issue. I have just tried to set a reminder using Google Now with my voice, which has always worked before, except now the reminder sets my clock alarm instead of storing it in Google Now in the usual way! I've checked that the Clock app hasn't been set as default etc.... but to no avail.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to duplicate a calendar event and then edit the date/time. Think about a reoccurring dentist/doctor appointment that you make your next one as you leave. The web interface allows for this easily, and Samsung's calendar allowed for this as well. this basic concept is there and I have just missed it. If not, I will be looking for calendar replacements
View 11 Replies View RelatedI installed the latest build of the android lollipop developer preview on my nexus 5. All works fine (exept for wel know problems with original mail app and mx player). My problem is that I can't create ANY reminders. If say "remind me in 10 min" i get the popup, but i'm not able to activate it ("V" stays grayed out)...
Even if I go manually via the hamburger menu in google now, "reminders" is grayed out and I can't click it . All works fine for the rest (except for every reboot i need to set the primary default language to English - US every time for google now to work at all)....
is there a reminders app for apple computers which will sync with the reminders app on 4s
Info:
iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1
My Bravo has begun not synching with my computer's google calendar. When I tap an event that I created on my phone, I get the the following message in the blue box that should contain the event details " fake event to work around a calendar issue" How can I fix this? Googling that phrase has led to several other folks having the same problem, none with solutions that I can find.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAble to voice record using Google Keep? I asked in the Apps forum, but I'm thinking this may be specific to the One. I can voice record using other apps, but whether it's the widget or the app itself, Keep shows a pop-up saying "Voice recording not available."
View 5 Replies View RelatedWith my old phone - the HTC Evo LTE - I used to be able to text over wifi with the Google voice app. I can no longer do that with this phone. I can go to the Google voice website and send and receive texts over wifi that way, but I don't get notifications that way. Is there some setting that is off in the app? Or did they just decide to disable that feature? Google hangouts doesn't text over wifi either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to use Google Voice as my default SMS app. My Note 3 and every other phone I've used in the past few years has all had this as an option. I don't really want to use hangouts as it's just not really setup as a SMS app yet. For now I'm using Hangouts but I'm not that happy about it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my Xperia Z2 today, and I found that teh Google Now voice option doesn"t work, It looks like it's recording, even when there's no sound at all. It completely ignores me when I speak. There is no relation to my speech and the red indicator flashing. Then it goes back to "Say "Ok Google" or tap mic". In fact other voice functions such as in the google play store, or google maps, or google voice typing don't work and exhibit the same bizarre behavior. Just to find out, I tried voice functions on a third party keyboard app (Swype) which doesn't seem to work too.Â

I have done a factory reset, updated to the latest firmware, updated the apps, but still the problem persists. I suspect the hardware is to blame, not the software.
Since Maps 9.2, Google maps integrated voice commands into navigation. So you can ask "are we there yet" or make a call. When I press the mic button during navigation, voice gallery pops up.

Periodically I use Google Voice on the stock keyboard to text. However I noticed when I try to exit Google Voice by clicking the "X" the application freezes and I can't exit until it times out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am getting used to my s6. Sometimes I am driving and there could be an accident and I need to try and grab my phone and put it in the phone holder in my car then navigate to google maps to find an alternate route by hand. I am wondering if I could make this easier by doing some of this with my voice. I know it is possible to search a specific place after pressing the voice icon manually after launching google maps, but is there a way so I can just put the phone in the car holder then use my voice to launch maps and say what my destination is?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T S5. I also have a Google voice phone number. When people call my actual phone they get the voicemail for Google voice. How can I fix it so that when my ATT number is called they get my voicemail and when my Google voice number is called they get my voicemail for that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wanted to send a text, but didn't want to use my actual number. I read that Google Voice can do this. I downloaded the app, but can't see anywhere in the app that allow me to text, or do anything really. How to use Google Voice?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo, here is the deal. I canceled my AT&T contract and went out a purchased HTC One developers edition (64g). Dialing out and getting calls, have no issue. Load up Google Voice app. Now when I make a call the screen goes black right away.
Steps to reproduce:
* Unlock phone (just screen not dropping new image on phone or anything)
* Start HTC one phone app (after loading google app on phone first).
** After installing google voice, tell it that you should use it for all outgoing calls.
* Go to history (I see it the most here)
* select phone number in list
I'm locked out of my phone. Whenever my phone restarts, it for some reason always changes the default input to Google Voice Input. I just recently changed my security from a Pattern to a Pin. The only problem is now I can't enter my unlock PIN with the google voice keyboard. I said the numbers followed by "enter" and "return" or the numbers by themselves but it didn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have google voice on Verizon and Advanced calling activated. When I call someone else using the native dialer using GV to make the call with advanced calling I do not get the HD icon, but the Camera buttons can be pressed for the video call, but when I do it says "the other person can not accept video calls at this time".
The other person's G4 Camera buttons are grayed out. When I dial the same person not using my GV number everything works the way Advanced calling should, I get the HD voice Icon and we can do a video call. How to get Advanced calling to work with GV on Verizon?
The voice detection was turned off. I enabled it, said OK Google three times, and it's working. But the search bar on top of every home screen (Nexus 5) no longer has "Say OK Google" in it. I don't mind, but is this an official change?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a Verizon Galaxy S6 and have been using Google Voice for voicemails. Recently, I discovered that sometimes my voicemails come through several hours after the call. This does not happen all of the time, but it does happen some. It is also pretty inconvenient. I do not want to go into the app and press refresh after missing a call, just to see if I have a voicemail. I did not have this issue with my Galaxy S3 or Moto X. Also, I have the sync, notification, etc settings all good to go.
