I want to do a factory reset on my phone but i dont want to lose all of my pictures,apps,numbers,settings and everything else that i use.I want to do a reset to clear my unwanted files and delete my cache to keep my phone from slowing down.

I have not yet gotten ahold of a Lumia 950 but plan to do so in the fairly near future. I've been reading this forum and find various comments about whether or not to restore from a WM 8.1 backup. My current phone is a Lumia 1020 running Denim.
My question is for those who have recommended a fresh install rather than a restore from backup. Are you referring only to the "Apps and Settings" backup and not the "text messages" backup?
I have a non rooted LG G4 which I would like to have an app that backs up my settings and data for my apps. Is there such an app? I am interested in a paid for app and not a free one. If there is one I want one that doe not require me to connect my phone onto my computer first.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBackup is only backing up settings and not apps so if i try to back up the apps it gets stuck on 8%, if i turn app back up off and only backs up settings it will back up fine.
I am on 8.1.1 preview, I've deleted the preview app turned glance off and have no lock screen photo, tired soft reset & deleting old backups but still stuck ....

So, as per my wife's advice, I did 'Reset all settings'. But, for some reason after doing its thing it is asking me to 'Set Up iPhone' with these options:Set Up as New iPhone, Restore from iCloud Backup, Restore from iTunes Backup. the Genius Bar restored my iPhone (battery problems from system software crashes) and has b0rked two apps that have save data from October thru today. One is a game (impossible to level, but not a fatal loss). The other is a financial app that has been tracking money for eight monthsr.
