I have a non rooted LG G4 which I would like to have an app that backs up my settings and data for my apps. Is there such an app? I am interested in a paid for app and not a free one. If there is one I want one that doe not require me to connect my phone onto my computer first.
View 6 RepliesI have not yet gotten ahold of a Lumia 950 but plan to do so in the fairly near future. I've been reading this forum and find various comments about whether or not to restore from a WM 8.1 backup. My current phone is a Lumia 1020 running Denim.
My question is for those who have recommended a fresh install rather than a restore from backup. Are you referring only to the "Apps and Settings" backup and not the "text messages" backup?
I'm constantly battling low internal drive space on my Tab S (I'll NEVER buy another 16GB internal drive device), but this question should also pertain to my S6.
When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.
1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?
I want to do a factory reset on my phone but i dont want to lose all of my pictures,apps,numbers,settings and everything else that i use.I want to do a reset to clear my unwanted files and delete my cache to keep my phone from slowing down.

View 24 Replies View RelatedBackup is only backing up settings and not apps so if i try to back up the apps it gets stuck on 8%, if i turn app back up off and only backs up settings it will back up fine.
I am on 8.1.1 preview, I've deleted the preview app turned glance off and have no lock screen photo, tired soft reset & deleting old backups but still stuck ....

View 8 Replies View RelatedI found most application available on the Market gives the ability to backup installed applications data only if the phone is rooted (what is not allowed in case of Motorola phones :-P). I used the My Backup before I factory reset the phone, however after restoration I lost my levels achived in Angry Birds and in Bubble Bang (it was over 300 levels, I spent couple weeks on some of them). My Backup handled data only from Note Everything.
Who know the backup application which can backup my games with my achievments to the SD card without rooting the phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since using the 8.1 dev preview, I noticed something odd about the photo sizes up my camera roll folder on OneDrive. I currently have my backup settings for "best quality (wi-fi only)" for pictures (videos are not backed up). However, ALL photo sizes are around 10 MB, and the dimensions confirm that it is the hi-res 38 MP shots being backed up, not the 5 MP oversampled photos. This never happened prior to the 8.1 preview.

I reflashed all the factory images to my Nexus 6P (except userdata), and then restored a TWRP backup of the data partition. This worked, my phone boots up and obviously has my installed apps, etc. But... on the Nexus 6P when you restart the phone you have to enter your lock pattern or PIN. My phone was previously configured with a pattern. It seems the TWRP data backup didn't backup the lock pattern, because it doesn't recognize my pattern.
My fingerprint is recognized, but on the Nexus 6P you still have to enter the lock pattern or PIN when you first reboot. So, I have no way to get into the phone. I tried setting a new lock screen password with Android Device Manager, but it doesn't work. I still get the screen asking for the lock pattern. Is there any way I can get into my phone without blowing away all the data?
I have had this error message on my Curve 8520.What solutions are there besides wipping the data on the device.Is there a way to backup the data before erasing all the data? I have looked into these solutions: url...The solution using JL_Cmder/javaloader its not working as I have XP64 and OS X.Desktop manager does not recognize the device and/or freezes. So, as per my wife's advice, I did 'Reset all settings'. But, for some reason after doing its thing it is asking me to 'Set Up iPhone' with these options:Set Up as New iPhone, Restore from iCloud Backup, Restore from iTunes Backup.
