HTC Desire HD :: Transfer Its Contacts Onto My Sim?
Apr 4, 2011
Have had the phone for a while and love it. Just wanted to know, how can I transfer my phone contacts onto my sim? I have tried with a program that was recommended by HTC but it kept saying that my phone is locked.
I am replacing my HTC desire with an iphone 4 and I want to transfer my contacts to the new sim I have for my new iphone. The HTC menu only allows contact export to SD card, not the sim,
I have just got my phone a couple of days ago and I am trying to find my way around. The instructions are useless and I cannot transfer these files. I am a silver surfer pretty good on pc but do not know anything about android phones.
The problem is that when I try and transfer music to my 32gb microSD card on my HTC Desire S, the music appears to delete itself. I connect it, drag and drop in the normal way and it copies normally. I then disconnect the phone and when I try to play the music it isnt on the menu on my phone. I reconnect the phone and the music is not there when I browse to my computer. Have tried 2 separate memory cards, and in 2 different HTC phones and still get the same problem.
My HTC Desire Z has duplicated every contact in my phone x5 - the only problem is that when I try to delete the duplicates it deletes every copy of that contact. I had to manually delete all the contacts and re-enter them 1 by 1. i turned my phone off last night and when I turned it on again this morning it had duplicated each contact by 3! Also my husband has the same phone, he isnt having this problem but is having problems having no service or signal - sometimes for hours of end when my phone right next to his is fine?
Two of my contacts suddenly don't appear on my text list. I have to look at their profile on search people to see the texts. I rang HTC who said to try a softer reset, not worked!
I want to transfer my contacts list onto my computer and cannot enable the sync for contacts. The type is greyed out and does not change when I hover the mouse over, or click on it.
Lost my Desire HD yesterday, lovely insurance guys over at Geeksquad replaced it with a shiny new one today.I have connected it to my Sense account but it isnt pulling down any of my phone contacts.Did a bit of searching on here and swaw lots of other people having issues with DHD vs Sense and locations etc... not sure if the same issues affect contact sync?
I was given an HTC Desire by the company. I plugged it into the PC and hey presto the phone was full of CR4P!I now have a list of contacts about 500 long, 400 of whom I have no idea who they are!People who have sent me emails offers or bought things off.Anyone know of a way I can go through this list (on the PC?) and say Yes I want, No I don't want. OR create a list only of people I want on the sync list.I thought smartphones were to make life easier. I have to trawl through God knows how many useless unknown contacts before I can find mates.I know I can have faves, but I don't want to carry 400 dead names, it ruins the line of my clothes carrying all that extra weight.
A small item I'd like to see changed is the way that the HTC People app displays the details of contacts. When a contact name is clicked on it brings up their details and unfortunately the way it displays the postal address just doesn't work. In a single line it displays a preview of their address and when clicked on only offers the option of viewing in google maps (not the actual address text). It is possible to view the entire postal address if editing - not a smart move and could lead to accidental deletion. Maybe there is another way of viewing postal addresses but I certainly can't figure it out.
It would be great if the full postal address was displayed in the contact details without having to edit or open google maps.
I had a BB bold 9700, i backup all my files using desktop manager without specifying anything, now i got new bold 9790, i tried to restore the backup file using the desktop manager, after restoring, the backed SMS only appear, any idea how to troubleshoot this problem?
I backup the pictures separatly as jpg.rem, and transferred it to my PC, any idea how to transfer it to jpg?
How do i transfer my contacts, messages, apps and BBM contacts to a new BB phone from the old phone, to a new BB phone? Must i individually informed my friends of the new device pin?
I got an new sd memorycard in present "from the santaclaus" but i have a lot of files and music on my old memorycard(also microcard). How can i easy transfer my files from the first sd card too my new sd card?
I have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.
The HTC desire and HT Sync work well with Contacts, Photos and Calendar. But with documents, the synchronisation appears to be from the PC to the Desire and not the other way round. Thus it appears to copy rather than synchronise.
On my PC and Galaxy Tab 10.1, when connected to my home router, I get about 1.5 mbps for my download speed. On the HTC I get less than 500 kbps. Anyone any ideas on how I can improve the download speed on the Desire, or is this the speed which it is supposed to operate at?
I'm totally new to the HTC One device and I was wondering how do I transfer all of my phone contacts from BlackBerry Z10 to the HTC One? Is there a best way to do this?
How do i transfer my contacts to my computer? Iam using an imac if that matters! Iam selling my htc to make way for a new phone (but i dont have it in my possession yet) so i want to transfer my content (contacts especially) to my comp and then hopefully i can transfer them from the comp back to the new phone easily
The easiest option seems to be copying my contacts to my gmail account but when i view contacts in my gmail account none of them show so it appears as though they are not being synced?
I have just got a new Nokia E72 I want to transfer the contacts off my old phone The old phone is a 3 Skypephone S2, which is not compatible for a bluetooth transfer.I stored all the details onto the memory card, put it into new phone, and saved them to the new Nokia so they are on the right phone. Now I just need to know HOW to put them from where they are stored on the memory card, into my 'contacts' list so I can use them.
Is there any way i can transfer contacts to this phone. Considering no usb / bluetooth connectivity; i guess pc suite is out of the question and as there is no internet connectivity, sync is also out. Via memory card perhaps??? The thought of manually feeding in 400 or so contacts is already hurting my fingers.
I have managed to back up both devices usiing desktop software but having trouble transferring the contacts over. The old device is blackberry 8520 and the new device blackberry bold 9790.
i previously owned a Nokia N95 8GB. I need to transfer contacts from the former to the new Blackberry torch 9810. I am facing a problem doing so. I saved the contacts from the Nokia phone in.. But can't transfer it in my blackberry device.
