View 3 RepliesSo basically i woke up one morning with no contacts in my phonebook when i had about 50 the day before. So i now have no numbers and also it won't let me save contacts either :| i re-add a contact, it says saved, but then returns to the 'add a contact' page.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHave had the phone for a while and love it. Just wanted to know, how can I transfer my phone contacts onto my sim? I have tried with a program that was recommended by HTC but it kept saying that my phone is locked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy HTC Desire Z has duplicated every contact in my phone x5 - the only problem is that when I try to delete the duplicates it deletes every copy of that contact. I had to manually delete all the contacts and re-enter them 1 by 1. i turned my phone off last night and when I turned it on again this morning it had duplicated each contact by 3! Also my husband has the same phone, he isnt having this problem but is having problems having no service or signal - sometimes for hours of end when my phone right next to his is fine?

Two of my contacts suddenly don't appear on my text list. I have to look at their profile on search people to see the texts. I rang HTC who said to try a softer reset, not worked!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was given an HTC Desire by the company. I plugged it into the PC and hey presto the phone was full of CR4P!I now have a list of contacts about 500 long, 400 of whom I have no idea who they are!People who have sent me emails offers or bought things off.Anyone know of a way I can go through this list (on the PC?) and say Yes I want, No I don't want. OR create a list only of people I want on the sync list.I thought smartphones were to make life easier. I have to trawl through God knows how many useless unknown contacts before I can find mates.I know I can have faves, but I don't want to carry 400 dead names, it ruins the line of my clothes carrying all that extra weight.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA small item I'd like to see changed is the way that the HTC People app displays the details of contacts. When a contact name is clicked on it brings up their details and unfortunately the way it displays the postal address just doesn't work. In a single line it displays a preview of their address and when clicked on only offers the option of viewing in google maps (not the actual address text). It is possible to view the entire postal address if editing - not a smart move and could lead to accidental deletion. Maybe there is another way of viewing postal addresses but I certainly can't figure it out.
It would be great if the full postal address was displayed in the contact details without having to edit or open google maps.
I have the Blackberry 9700 V5.0.032,I had my email sync with the contacts but then it duplicated all my contacts list when I already had the settings to 'NO' In duplicated names. I found out you can erase the duplicated names by pressing Option -> then press letters RSET --> which deleted ALL my contacts clean instead. I tried to put the names and numbers back into my phone but it wont let me save and so now I don't have any contacts on my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 8900 BB. I've had problems from day one with it. I'm on my third one. Blackberry said it was the OS. If it's not fixed, why do they keep sending me the same phone? On the latest one, I can't save, edit, or delete any contacts. I didn't realize it until I tried to put some new numbers in. I also can't send e-mails. I can receive them, I just can't send them. I was told this is the OS too. What if anything can I do? It locks up a lot too. I'll be in the middle of something and it just decides to reboot

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my partners old 8900 curve and have been using it fine for a year, except that his old contacts were saved on the phone and mine on the SIM. I decided to delete his old contacts so I could copy mine over, I found on the internet that you can use RSET in the contact menu to delete all contacts at once. It worked perfectly but now the Blackberry will not save any new contacts, at all, ever!
It won't copy them from the SIM and it won't even save a contact when entered manually. I don't use it for anything other than phone calls and emails, so it has no apps that I know of.Also I have no software on my laptop to back it up or update it etc, I really only use it to read emails and receive phone calls when i'm not in the office.
There is no option to save a number to contacts from an SMS message.
There is no way to select the number at the top. There is no option in the menu when viewing a message or highlighting one in the list. Infact no-where on the phone is a save to contacts option for anything. Why? This kind of feature was available in the 80s on a piece of rock.
Note - The phone is running the latest software it can. Also I am aware that i can click the blackberry button to bring up the menu, select show recipients and tediously highlight then number, copy, then exit out and open up the contacts app, create or edit a contact and paste the number in. This is 100% UNACCEPTABLE from a 'smart phone', i may as well use pen paper and pidgeons.
