HTC Desire :: Videos & Photos Disappeared From HTC Desire?
Dec 22, 2011I have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.

Feb 17, 2011I installed Full Screen Caller ID but wasn't happy with the functionality of it, so I uninstalled it. Then, the next time I got a call I no longer had the standard HTC Sense UI Slide to answer (down to answer, up to send to VM) but instead just had the Answer and Ignore buttons. how I can get the slide back? Or, if there's another app that gives you a slide to answer? All of the apps that I've found do the opposite, and give you buttons instead of a slide, but not what I'm looking for.

Aug 15, 2010I'm new to the HTC/Android family. Just moved from the iPhone (good riddance) and I'm in love with my Desire. However, I find that the Desire organizes text messages in a weird way where the recipient and sender messages don't follow one after another rather it puts all the recipient responses on the top half of the screen and the sender at the bottom. Does anyone know how to change this?

Jan 1, 2011I was texting with someone earlier today, I sent a text at 4:31 pm and they immediately responded but their text message was time stamped at 11:32 am.For some reason all of the texts I receive are time stamped as 5 hours earlier.The people I'm texting with are located in my same timezone, and the timezone is correct in the settings of my phone. It's set to automatic but I switched to manual and checked to see that the correct timezone was selected.

May 21, 2012Many of my text messages/sms are disappeared? These are all to the person with whom I text most. Is there any way to retrieve these, I definitely haven't deleted them. In my own efforts to find them I thought maybe there's a limit to the number of texts that are accessible, so I deleted lots of other unimportant texts.

May 27, 2012Text messages will come in and the sound will go off and the phone will vibrate, but nothing shows up on the screen. when i unlock it ill have the text message in the app. ive tried restoring it but no good.

May 10, 2011I was having problems with my x10 mini pro over the weekend when sending texts, it was being really slow and kept saying there was a problem with the messaging application and asked me if i wanted to "force a close" or "wait". I chose wait everytime and everything seemed ok, except for being really really slow. Today I got the same message when sending a text, but it didnt give me the option to "wait" and I had to press "force close". Well, it then showed me as having NO text messages in my history....I have lost them all. I went in the Vodofone shop and he said they are gone for good....does anyone know anyway I can get them back? Some of them are really special to me and I hate the thought of losing them all like that with no warning

Jan 11, 2010I have had this phone for about 8 months and it has always showed me who in my contact list is sending me a text message. It has only shown the phone number if the person texting me is not in my contact list.A few days ago, it started showing me only the number that sent the text message. I have no idea why it started this, maybe some wrong buttons got pushed while I was carrying it around in my pocket? It doesn't always lock when I close the phone, and sometimes I don't notice it when I slide the phone into my pocket.I've tried adding the number to my contact list, and it adds it just fine, but the next time I get a text from that number, only the number shows up again.This is quite frustrating, and I would like to get if fixed, does anyone have any ideas as to what I need to do to correct this?Old messages from before this started happening still show the names.I haven't had it connected to my computer since the phone was new and as far as I know, it hasn't done any software upgrades or anything like that.

Jan 5, 2010I have had a lot of issues with the N97 and on the dawn or ordering a replacement, this happened: The phone froze whilst trying to send a message, so I turned it off and back on. The message was still in the Outgoing box and did send after all, however, all messages in the Inbox, the Sent box, personal folders, etc. have all disappeared!
Now, my phone stored a lot of business messages with important information as well as many personal messages with a lot of emotional attachment. No other data disappeared, contacts and calendar entries are all there!

Sep 6, 2010I am about 12-13 months in to an 18 month contract with 3. My W595 has recently started to play up. It is a random occurrence so I cannot just take it in to a shop and show what is happening and going wrong. I have over 290 contacts and details in my phone. Sometimes when I reach for my phone and press the down button to get to my contacts there is nothing there apart from New Contact and My Numbers. All of the contacts have disappeared. Not only do the contacts disappear but so do all the stored text messages that I want to keep a bit longer before deleting. Fortunately I meticulously back my phone up using PC Suite so at least I can get them back again, but that in it self has it's problems, which I will explain further down. My contacts are stored in the phone memory, (there too many to store on the SIM). All other data, such as the calender, photos and notes remain intact and OK, I can only surmise that this data is stored away from the phone memory on the SD card so it cannot "disappear" in the same way.
I have reported this to 3 tech support but all they do is get me to check for updates to the phone software, (which happens to be current anyway). I just reinstall using the update facility and be done with it. The crazy thing is that because my confidence level is so low at the moment, I have to cart my laptop with me when I go away for wekends, just in case I lose everything again. The phone and the laptop have to be kept together for obvious reasons. The problem was reported to 3 well before the 12 month warranty ran out so any more reported problems that are connected will be covered in the event of a claim being made. They won't send a replacement phone whilst my own phone is away for analysis. I cannot do without the phone and the contents.
I have made my mind up to leave 3 at the end of the contract and I do not want another Sony Ericsson phone - I want to go back to Nokia, I never had any trouble with them. At the moment, I just feel as though I am limping with this W595 to the end of a painful 18 months. Has, or is anyone else experiencing similar problems with their W595? PC Suite Problem. My main problem with PC Suite when used in conjunction with my Sony Ericsson W595 phone is that there is no facility to produce a hard copy or print of the contacts list. I will need to do this when I change phones at the end of my contract to make it easier to input them into the new phone, (which hopefully will be a Nokia!). The only method that I have found is to do a "Print Screen" or a Screen Capture. Of course this has to be done several times to be able to cover nearly 300 contacts and all their input details.
BB Bold :: Text Messages Disappeared - Oldest One Received One Month Back
Nov 11, 2012Tried to search for a text message today and noticed that it cannot be found. Then I had troubles with exiting to messages list from search window which still read "0 messages found". And then when I pressed "B" to look for the oldest message it showed me that the oldest one is a month old. This is absurd, throughout all my previous blackberries I saved and moved all my text messages to a new device, including the present BBB 9900. The option "Keep messages Forever" has been on since the day one on my every device. The memory is 2 GB free on media card and 5Gb free on the device. Never changed a thing in the settings.
