It's random and occurs in all apps and I checked for virus with a scanner and it doesn't say anything. Idk what I clicked that might have caused this bug. Ads usually are games that lead me to the play store and not anything explicit...
The Nexus 5 turn to be asked this hehe
I've just now experienced this in the course of fixing another issue.
Normally in spite of how much i change ROMS whenever I set time manually and uncheck network derived time the date/ time maintains across restarts, now it doesnt.
What I did so far:
clean ROM not dirty flashed
switching between stock OMNI and Minux OMNI
all combinations of option in date/ time settings while
Each and everytime after reset the date time is 13 Aug 1970. Even if is set to automatic that date briefly appears before a connection to the net is made.
I have installed Android M one month ago and in the last two days my phone started to reboot at anytime. When I'm using it, like in a call or browsing with google chrome, just reboot...
View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday I updated my phone to CyanogenMod(CM)13.0 which went fine. However when I rebooted the phone a popup came up the entire time telling me that google play services stopped working. In an attempt to fix it, I accidently removed google play services, causing a bunch of trouble at the moment.
I went to the CM Wiki and first I downloaded the "nano" variant of the GAPPS, trying to fix everything in the end. I put the file on my phone and tried to install it via recovery. This message came up however.Insufficnt storage space available in system partition. You may want to use a smaller GAPPS package or consider removing some apps using GAPPS-config ( bla bla) Error code 70. As far as I can see, it is able to mount /system and /data, but the partition does not seem to have enough space left, at least so it says.
After that I tried the same with the "pico" variant, which also gave the same result. Pretty strange for a package that small. So after taking a backup of important files I tried to wipe data/factory reset (was going to reinstall everything), to which I got an error "data wipe failed", which is correct since I can still boot in CM13 after that. So I'm a bit in trouble here. I cannot seem to wipe my phone entirely, nor am I able to reinstall GAPPS due to this error 70. Could this be a permissions problem somehow? Things I have done so far to check what the problem could be:
- I've checked the space left on the /system partition which is 501 MB. Should be enough I guess?
- I've checked the /system partition for errors via adb shell while the phone was in recovery mode, which came out clean.
My nexus 5 sometimes shows 1hours 40 minutes which is the exact time it should charge from 0 to 100 but sometimes it shows 3 hrs sometimes 2hr sometimes 6 hrs.I have a sony 5000 mah power bank. when i connect my nexus 5 to that with nexus 5 usb cable it still shows the same problem. I have connected a couple of chargers but still same problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIssue with google+ keeping phone awake for way too long? This morning I unplugged my phone around 730 then fell back asleep until 9. When I checked my phone it was at 88%. I looked at the usage and although google+ was at a low % it had kept my phone awake since I unplugged.
Just to clarify, by awake, I don't mean screen on. It kept the phone from going to sleep when I turned the screen off and went back to bed. I immediately disabled the app, as I don't use it anyway, and the battery is back to normal, I think. Also, I have all the auto-backup options turned off on google+ so why it was kept awake for so long.
My old Nexus 5 (vanilla 5.1.1 not rooted) is malfunctioning. There is no sound coming from the speaker in the bottom of the phone and the microphone is not picking up any sound when making a normal call and/or recording a video. The speaker at the top of the phone however, is working. So I hear people in phone calls, but they do not hear me.Now to the strange part: If I change to the loud speaker while in a call it's the opposite; I can not hear them but they can hear me.If I connect headphones into the headphone jack I can hear sound both in calls and in video playback.
So to summarize:
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds): No sound
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds) with headphones: Sound working
Recording video: No sound recorded
Making a phone call: Sound but no microphone
Making a phone call with loudspeaker on: No sound but microphone working
Making a phone call with handsfree connected: Not tested (I have no headphones with mic).
And what's even more strange is that I just replaced the flex cable with the microphone and charging dock and also the entire speaker with new parts from eBay. And guess what... it's still not working!!!
I use the speaker on my N6 to listen to approx 4 hours of podcasts daily. In the past week, when I start a podcast, the speaker is nice & loud, then in approx 10 seconds it starts to lower until I can still hear it, but it's too low. If I hit Pause, then Start, it's loud again for 10 seconds. YouTube has same problem. Volume settings are at max.
I called support and went into Safe Mode and ran a video on YouTube, same thing. I factory reset the phone and before installing my podcast player (BeyondPod) I played a video and the volume started loud & then lowered.
I purchased the phone directly from Google and have a Sprint sim in it. Ver 5.1...
I received my Nexus 6 from Amazon. It seems as though the top speaker is considerably louder than the bottom. When I flip the phone upside down, it is still the top speaker that is louder.
When I turn the phone to landscape mode, it is the right speaker that it louder. I flip the orientation to where the former right speaker is now the left and vice versa. It's the same problem where the right speaker (the former left speaker) is still louder.
My nexus 5 was good with no problem before the update, and even 1 day after.
The problem started on yesterday, when suddenly the speaker didn't work. Tried to switch on and off the volume, and sometimes it does come back! But most of the time it silent.
While on a voice call in Hangout, how do I switch from speaker to ear-piece on Nexus 6...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having problems with the combination of radio apps (e.g. TuneIn, CBC Radio, NPR), and a Bluetooth speaker (Blackweb SoundPebble). The apps work fine and will play through the Nexus 5 speakers or headphones when no Bluetooth speaker is connected. However, when I connect a Bluetooth speaker, the apps do not work - they don't get past the title screen. The Bluetooth speaker works OK with locally stored files e.g. music saved to the device.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Nexus 6 has random restarts about once per day. The most frustrating thing about it is that it takes 1:45 minutes (105 seconds) to reboot. It's the same length of time when I turn the phone off and boot it by hand. Is this normal? Can a few of you do me a favor and measure how long it takes on theirs?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI got my phone on 11/9/12 and within the first day our so the clock had lost a few hours. I had to switch to manual and set the clock. Then I set it back to use network for time. Well today I was late for work because when I woke up my phone said 7:10 and it really was 7:40. So had I not woken up when I did I would have been an hour late for work. The tech in Store removed my antivirus apps starting I didn't need them.

View 1 Replies View Relatedas per the subject, the widget disappeared from my screen after it was at the top of my home screen. I went into widgets and there's no time on the one in there, nor is there anything for it under Clocks. I've looked all over to find a widget to replace this, from Accuweather, and I can't.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust a question for everyone that occasionally wipes the cache partition from recovery like I do. I'm on my 2nd replacement and after I set it all up I wiped the cache partition but for some reason it takes longer than usual for the process to finish. Usually it would be like 2 seconds where now it takes around 35-40 seconds to complete. How long does it usually take you to clear your cache?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my Nexus 5 for a couple months, and all of a sudden within the last day or two it plays a chime every time I unlock my screen, which is VERY annoying. What is causing this. I checked my sound settings, and the screen lock sound option is disabled. I also went through all of my running apps to stop the processes, and it doesn't seem to be any of those. It's also not my normal notification sound, it's a different sound I'd never heard before.

The watch is about 3minutes off from my chip time. why this would be different? Could the Marathon time not be accurate or is it the MOTOACTV. I have the 8 gig watch...it was fully charged when I started. 3 minutes is a big difference. I didn't lose any signal while running.

What does this mean?
I've had my Nexus 5 for a couple of weeks and from the day one I've noticed that from time to time it stopped vibrating for short periods of time. Then after a couple of seconds, or even a minute it would start up again. It does that at least once or twice a day.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Google Nexus 5 running Android 5.0.1 and have recently noticed that the time assigned to pictures taken with my phone are all time-stamped five hours later than when the pictures were actually taken. By time stamped I mean the time shown when I pull up the picture's details.
Given that it's exactly five hours off it seems to me that it's probably a time-zone issue. However, I've checked the settings on my phone under Settings/Date & Time and although both the date and time are set to Automatic Date & Time and Automatic Time Zone, the grayed out text below are showing the correct date, time and time zone. This makes sense since my phone displays the correct date and time across the board except for the photo details. Is this something that can be fixed by adjusting some settings I'm not aware of?
In Windows you can set your computer to ask where to save a downloaded file. I would like the same feature on my Nexus 6 that way I don't have to download to a general file then move into the desired folder.
