I'm new to Android phones made the switch from iphone. I just finished rooting my S6, get a nice black wallpaper on my phone but i cant figure out how to change the text below the icons on my home screen, right now the font is black so it cannot be seen.

I have a curve 8530. How do I change the icons on the home screen? Also, the messages icons, there are 2, one plain envelope and one envelope with a earth on it. Do the same messages from the earth one (which I assume means email) go into the plain envelope one which I think means ALL messages including BB PIN Messages? And then to other texts show up in the plain one?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated my samsung galaxy s6 to android 5.1.1, since updating, my launcher, apex pro isn't showing the icons within a folder on my home screen any more, its basically a folder that contained all my game apps.I assume the issue was apex in someway maybe not being fully compataible with 5.1.1 but im not sure? Th odd thing is, when i open tap the game folder, even though its all blank with no icons, they do seem to be there, but just invisible, if i tap where i know apps used to be in the folder, they do actually stop open, which is odd.
I have tried deleting the folder then doing a restore in apex but the same thing happens.Also since updating to 5.1.1 some screens have also been a little laggy and my home screen was just black at one point and just showing the notification section / time but everything else was black and wouldn't go off, i had to restart phone to get it back to normal.
after installing the Android 5.1.1 update on my Galaxy S6 edge almost all home screen icons have disappeared, even the bottom ones like phone, contacts and messages.The apps icons in the app drawer have also completely disappeared. The apps are still there and working, but I can only access them when I get a new notification.I have tried rebooting several times, and clearing the Touchwiz launcher data, but nothing changes.

I know it is possible to change the default screen which is displayed when you press the Home Button on the Samsung Galaxy S5, because I did it accidently. But it happened while I was trying to get the ringing phone out of my pocket. I do not know how to change it back. Suggestions for other types of phones have not worked

I can't find it anywhere! Also, when a text does come, the actual message quickly scrolls across the black bar at the top of the home screen..can I remove this? I would normally have the screen locked anyway but if i'd just used it and left it on the table for instance.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI was using my phone earlier, everything was fine. I looked at it later, all my folders and icons are gone from my home page. The only thing on the page are the four things on the bottom. Phone, Chrome, Contacts and apps. I can get to everything from the app drawer, should be a simple matter to repopulate my home page. I've restarted my phone several times. I've both just restarted, and shut down, then restarted. All of my history seems to still be in the apps, I.e my email accts are signed in, my s-health history is there. The only thing that's changed are the icons have vanished from my home page. Phone is bone stock

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have updated my OS to 7.1.0 Bundle 2039 and have noticed a few changes. Today my homescreen has a row of icons appeared at the bottom. In the previous version you could turn off the icons and only have a small up arrow shown that you could select to show the icons.

For example, I moved one of the default home screen icons to the second screen, leaving a hole. Now I'm trying to move an icon from the second screen into the hole I created. I can drag to the right and create a new screen, but it will not break through to the left onto the home screen.
