Galaxy S6 :: Anytime Audio Is Played There Is Loud Crackling Noise
Apr 14, 2015
I have the Samsung S6 through Verizon and am having some issues with the audio. anytime audio is played there is a loud crackling noise. It only does it if the screen is on. If I turn off the screen with music strwaming, it is fine. When I am in calls on speakerphone, it is fine. But when I watch a music video or listen to music while browsing, it crackles. I figure it can't be that the speaker is blown out since speakerphone and audio is fine with the screen off.
Has anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...
I have my S2 for some days now. and suddenly my speaker acts weird. Every time sound is played (keyboard, calls, music, ....) the speaker acts weird don't know how to describe it:
1) It makes the right sound so thats Ok. 2) While playing the sound, the speaker clicks on (you can hear a click). 3) Then it makes a noise (you can compare it when you put your speaker from your PC really loud but ain't playing music or something). 4) After that it makes the click again.
My Electrify reboots itself randomly when I am attempting to make a call. A few times during other things as well. Sometimes it also has a very loud crackling sound on the call. Here is what I have tried so far; Uninstalling task killer app Updating phone software Replacing/formatting SD card Factory reset x2 My wireless company said they get 3 people per day with the same problem with Electrify.
When I turn my HTC one speaker up full and either play a game or listen to music, I get a crackling noise coming from the top speaker..
Granted, I will not be listening to music this loud normally, but I want to be sure that my phone is defect free, especially if I would like to sell it in the future.
Blackberry Curve 8520?Out of nowhere my phone started making weird crackling noises so i took out the battery, placed it back into the phone same problem but the red light was on so i tried twice more but longer periods with the battery out it wouldn't turn on and i just tried once more then it turned off completely no light. Do i need a new battery or is it the phone?
My Galaxy S6 was one of the loudest phones I've owned. Its still loud but only when listening to music or watching YouTube, every other app isn't as loud anymore.
For example, I got a music game, when I listen to the song from the music player its perfectly loud, when I listen to the same exact mp3 in the game its no as loud anymore like it use to be.
Is this a known bug? is there a fix or update coming to address this?
PS: I noticed this RIGHT AFTER the 5.1.1 update (on verizon) before every app in my phone was loud
I have tried different music players, headphones, aux cables etc. I have tried turning off all other apps. Still no matter what I do I get audio pops and crackles quite often listening to music. Its not constant but very noticeable and might be a deal breaker for me. I love this phone otherwise, has anyone else noticed this or have a solution?
I was sitting at my desk and all the sudden I hear a high pitched whistle or whine coming from my phone. I picked it up and it is locked. I can't turn it on, I can't turn it off and it just keeps making that noise. A minute later, the noise stops and the phone reboots.
I recently purchased an iPhone 4S brand new and sealed and it's been about a month now and the on/off button and volume buttons seem to get stuck when being pressed. I have to apply more pressure than generally required to get them to function correctly. And when I do that, I hear this loud clicking noise as if the button was not making the right contact with the insides and happens to sit in place after the pressure is applied. It feels like I'm cracking the inside of the phone every time I press them so kind of worried about it.
Another thing I've noticed it when I press the Up volume button, the volume goes up and then back down sometimes in an instance, as if the button seems to be pressing the down volume button aswell from beneath it. The rest of the phone is fine. Is this a common issue and will I be able to get this fixed under my warranty as it is covered til next year?
Phone was on desk minding it own business I turned on my Bluetooth speakers bose. And the phone made a horrible sound via its speaker phone speaker. Load static for no reason. I went to the radio tuner as it sound like radio static and sure enough as it was searching the static changed.
So why would turning on my BT speakers cause the radio to turn on with static without head phones and be super loud on the phone speakers. The only way I could stop the sound was to power the phone off.
I was using a flashlight (torch) app to read with for the first time, and noticed after a few minutes that the camera body became extremely hot and that the OIS (image stabilisation) had been running the whole time. When I moved the camera in certain directions it made a loud screeching noise. I hoped it would improve once cool, but unfortunately not.So I will have to send it to Nokia for service/replacement, as it's ruined the ability to take videos, and who knows how much worse it will get.
Bionic - just updated to the 1.1.2 version of the anddroid app from the market.Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit as my home server with the newest version of the desktop app loaded.Any time i get a text message, email or any other sound based notification on my phone 90% of the time the song that was playing does not continue after the notification sound is played. i have to unlock my phone and hit the play to continue listening to music. Songs are also cutting out/off more frequently this morning - but i see there are service issues.
Between songs, and when the music player "fades to silence", say, for an incoming message, there is a horribly loud pop. When using it as an MP3 player in the car, I fear for my speakers. It only does this when using the headphone output, on any of the settings (headphones, line out, music stand). Wondering if there is a fix for this or am I stuck with it? (Don't mind my friend in the background on the audio clip I recorded, he had no idea what I was doing.) Link to popping demo: http://www.box.net/shared/4bfqv5jlic.
is it possible to get rid of it? I get some crackling with some audio files I got from zedge when they're really low, it's lame! I would rather have it the audio I set it up, not the gradual quiet to loud thing it keeps trying to do for everything. Examples are when I try to use speaker phone, receive a text, or an alarm I have set.
We all know that in the past Nexus the audio recording in videos in loud places (ex. night club) was really bad, specially the bass that was recorded all distorted. how's the audio recording in videos in loud places with the Nexus 6P?
Just updated my x3-02 firmware to 7.16(Ok, Nokia suite couldn't restore settings, but thats not the problem)Every phone call, since the update, I can hear myself when i speak. This is NOT the delay you have with some providers. The problem becomes very annoying if there is a strong ambiant noise. For example I recently had a phone call while watching tv.I could hear the tv in my ear, it was coming through the microphone of the phone. But as I have it loud, this sound goes back through the microphone, creating a loop. and giving a strong high feedback sound. (this stops when i go into a silent room)(its like in the radio, when the radiostation calls someone on the phone and they dont turn the volume of their radio down)No, I am not using handsfree or speaker mode. Just plain phone call, the phone on my ear.Normally ( it was like that before) I could NOT hear what was going into the mike, only the person on the other end of the line should be able to hear it.
PS: it has nothing to do with the provider, as my other Phones work perfectly with the same sim card.(I use the x3-02 in the office as it is very small and fits into the breast-pocket of my suit.)
I have just installed a CK-100 into a vehicle. Connected to an iphone 4 via Bluetooth. Music audio is outputted through the RCA sockets into the AUX in of my stereo. Every 10 minutes or so of playing music there is high pitched noise which comes over the top of the audio. Lasts about 20 seconds and then the audio is OK again. Has anyone had this problem? Both latest firmware's.
I frequenly charge my phone in my car while listing to music, through the car's AUX port. It worked flawlessly with my Droid2, but with the Razr M, there is noise when music is not playing. When music is playing, even with a very quiet passage, there is no noise. It is only when the music app is not sourcing music (I can't remember if there is noise if the music is just paused). When sitting at the home screen with no music app running, there is definitely noise. The noise I'm hearing sounds like CPU noise...digital interference noise. But, car electircal noise must also be coming through the charging circuit. I do not have any issue while charging on AC power.
I have an Iphone 4s - cannot hear the audio on the phone or hear music being played. When I try to turn up the audio the screen says audio-headsets? But yet, I have no headset connect.how to change where I can hear audio?
I am having an issue with the bluetooth audio, when streaming to a speaker or headphones a high pitch noise is present in the background. This occurs whenever anything audio is playing music or notification sounds. Not sure if its hardware or software related?
Since a few weeks I own a Galaxy S6. Great phone, but lately I'm having problems with the internal speaker. Whatever sound played from it, it sounds distorted after a few seconds.
I use Podkicker and have never had an issue with past phones. I download casts. I don't stream them. Everything usually works fine. However, I have noticed that when wifi is toggled off, I get on and off crackling through the speaker. Strangely, when I turn the screen on it plays clearly but as soon as the screen shuts off it crackles again. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling to no avail. Should clearing the partition have any effect or is this possibly a hardware issue? Maybe the speaker is not getting enough power unless the screen or wifi is turned on? This is really annoying, especially while driving when I don't want my wifi scanning and I don't want to keep powering on the screen. I would hate to have to send the phone in for this. I would also hate to try a factory reset.
When i turn my camera on it makes a crackling sound and the image waves. I have to touch the screen a few times to get it to stop. Then when taking a picture the quality is very low, not anything like it was out of the box.
I get a YouTube video in my news feed and when I click on it, it opens and tries to use the system video player to play the video. Which has a cappy resolution. It doesn't give me an option to open with YouTube like my old note2 did.
is there a way to close the music player, and resume the last played song upon reopening it with the stock music player? If not what free music player do you recommend. I look everywhere for this and didn find an answer And while im asking things is posible to download cracked games for the s2? if it is could you post some links with info.
