I get a YouTube video in my news feed and when I click on it, it opens and tries to use the system video player to play the video. Which has a cappy resolution. It doesn't give me an option to open with YouTube like my old note2 did.

I've only had my GS5 for a month and so this is my first time trying to upload my videos to YouTube. And it's not working.
I am in the gallery, on the video I want to upload, I tap on the share symbol, I select YouTube and then write a title, description and choose options. I then hit the upload symbol. It then goes to my list of uploads and shows the video I'm trying to upload at the top, but when I tap on it, nothing. When I tap on the 3 dots to the right of the thumbnail, it gives me the option to cancel download. But it's not really doing anything! I let it sit like that for over 5 minutes and nothing changes.
I've also tried doing it the opposite way and tapping on the upload option in YouTube, but that does not even give me an option to upload from my gallery which is super weird. It only allows me to choose from downloads.

Once you play one of the videos, it hen shows up in the regular video folder in "media". It's in essence added to the list of unhidden videos. Oddly enough I haven't figured out when they finally disappear.....and they do go away. Don't know if it's on a reboot or what.

I am not able to play videos in YouTube, Chrome, or even videos I have taken with my own camera. For YouTube videos, it gives me a loading screen, then says, "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry." When I try to play my own video, it tries to load, then gives me the HTC error message, saying, "Sorry, this video cannot be played." The same happens in Chrome.
The interesting thing is, some days I'll be able to watch a few videos just fine. Then after a couple I try to watch another and it gives me the error message. So I'm not really sure what is happening.
Just bought the m8 and trying to figure out why YouTube videos look "not hd", even when I search hd 1080p videos... Under the YouTube settings it only shows up to 720p. On all of my other phones the YouTube videos look a lot better. Is it the new YouTube app or my phone?

Finally I thought maybe the Google play service it's old or not compatible or something like that but nothing change even with latest update from Google play service.

She's a Zumba instructor and all her videos have music to them and in the subject. I know YouTube is strict now on music being posted for copyright purposes. But the same video works on my wife's Windows phone and my daughters iPhone. Not sure if it's my phone. But other videos play from my wife too on my phone with no problems . Just some do not..

This is only a problem in the stock browser. When I hit the play button the video starts to load but never plays and then just shows the replay screen/related videos screen that usually comes up after watching a video.

I use the phone alarm clock at night and use airplane at night to turn anything off so I'm not receiving notifications for texts, emails and other things. Somehow, occasionally an email gets through and I get a notification. This happened today a 430am and woke me up (3 hours before I actually needed to get up!)
so I've had my Galaxy S6 and the fingerprint sensor has always worked fine. Yesterday it worked great all day long at work, then when I got home, it wouldn't work at all. I rebooted and still it wouldn't work, I cleared cache and data, did the hardware test, and it passed. It still didn't work, so I erased the fingerprints, and retrained my right thumbprint only. Now it seems to unlock with any finger of anybody! As long as they touch lightly, it unlocks about 90 percent of the time.

It only does it if the screen is on. If I turn off the screen with music strwaming, it is fine. When I am in calls on speakerphone, it is fine. But when I watch a music video or listen to music while browsing, it crackles. I figure it can't be that the speaker is blown out since speakerphone and audio is fine with the screen off.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have trusted voice enabled so saying "OK google" should unlock my screen but it doesn't. This is difficult when I am trying to set an alarm. I don't feel like picking my phone up and having to use my fingerprint to unlock the screen and accept the alarm.
try to confirm that it doesn't or does unlock their lock screen on the s6? I am on the latest software.
Having chosen the S2 over the iPhone and having used it now for 3 months (learning new things about it almost everyday) I think I can now arrive at a decision whether I made the right choice.Having seen peoples' iPhones and read on certain forums about them I'm glad I went for the S2 however (there always is an however!!!) there are [so far] 3 little gripes I have w.r.t. the S2
1) The OnOff button could be better in terms of positivity and position.
2) The (installed) Music Player unlike the music player on the iPhone doesn't remember the last position played on a certain track if you navigate away from it and listen to something else and then return to it. A real pain when listening to audiobooks unless you split the audiobook into small (~5mins) tracks then you just have to remember which track you last listened to when you turn the phone off or listen to something else on the music player. This is unlike iTunes, which the iPhone uses, which does it automatically when you check the 'Remember Playback Position' box. Naturally the inability to not remember the last position played doesn't really apply if you just listen to 3mins music tracks!
3) Kies for Mac (which is my main computer) is terrible slow almost unresponsive.Kies for the PC is marginally better but nowhere near as user friendly as iTunes.
Is there some youtube background app for the Galaxy S6? PVSTAR+ PRO vas amazing app.. But it doesn't work anymore.
