Nokia 5230 :: Audio Pop Is Very Loud?

Between songs, and when the music player "fades to silence", say, for an incoming message, there is a horribly loud pop. When using it as an MP3 player in the car, I fear for my speakers. It only does this when using the headphone output, on any of the settings (headphones, line out, music stand). Wondering if there is a fix for this or am I stuck with it?
