I have tried different music players, headphones, aux cables etc. I have tried turning off all other apps. Still no matter what I do I get audio pops and crackles quite often listening to music. Its not constant but very noticeable and might be a deal breaker for me. I love this phone otherwise, has anyone else noticed this or have a solution?

Wondering if anyone has tested out Music to see if 2.1 fixed the Awful Crackling and popping sounds sometimes heard when listening to music on the Milestone?

Any audio that I stream to bluetooth speakers (Supertooth Disco) or headphones (Jabra Halo) has a lot of static and an occasional (and very annoying) popping sound. I've tried a few different programs both streaming audio and playing directly from the SD card. I have also tried using airplane mode to see if the other radios were causing the interference. I turned off all audio effects/EQ in the control panel as well. Everything sounds great wired directly to the speakers and my old phone doesn't have the same problem over bluetooth in the same environment.

I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung S6 through Verizon and am having some issues with the audio. anytime audio is played there is a loud crackling noise. It only does it if the screen is on. If I turn off the screen with music strwaming, it is fine. When I am in calls on speakerphone, it is fine. But when I watch a music video or listen to music while browsing, it crackles. I figure it can't be that the speaker is blown out since speakerphone and audio is fine with the screen off.

View 3 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter spending 2 hours on the forums and 2 hrs on motorola website, downloading the motorola software update and finding that the updater says that your phone is up to date with 2.1 (where as the motorola site says 2.2 is now available) and browsing thru unending discussions, I was unable to update my Motorola milestone to Android 2.2. I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.

It's odd because I'm in the text message app, or it happens if I have to type something in Browser. This only happens on occassion. I know it has something to do with the shortcut feature, but I should have to hit another button before they actually pop up.

Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.

Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.
