Phone not in use picked it up after 4 hrs not used it ,felt very hot and was turned off. Only had it a month. No apps running. Don't play games on it. After another 3 hrs it then started to charge, up till then woul not turn on or charge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLoving my new S6, battery ok for me, thought lack of SD slot would bother me but not actually missing it even though only using 32GB model. Screen is awesome along with the camera, can leave my slr at home now and use the S6 for casual photos... One thing I would love to see Samsung implement is in the phone logs, I would love to see all calls from the same number grouped and the time and date of the call alongside. Its a little annoying when a umber has called you multiple times in one day and there is a logged separate entry for each call. That is my only improvement for me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a factory-unlocked 32gb S6 (g920i) and spent the past few weeks setting up my applications, launcher, etc. For reasons that are not pertinent to my question, I've decided to return the S6 and replace it with a 32gb S6Edge (g925i).
Is there a way I can COMPLETELY clone all the apps, data, and settings between the two phones? I understand that the phones are close to identical but I suspect it is not safe to restore an S6 backup onto an S6Edge. Am I right about that? Assuming this is the case how can I preserve all my settings?
When I bought the S6 I migrated from a Moto X and it did a good job of installing my apps but none of the app-specific data or settings got transferred. Will SmartSwitch do this or do I need something like Helium?
I am using a Mophie Juice Pack battery case, the power went out, and I needed to charge my pbone, so I flipped the switch on the battery case, anyway, I went to take a picture using flash and this happened, is that normal?

Has stop being recongnized by pc, i almost tries anything i know and find on net. The pc doesn't recongnise it on device manager (i have a win 7 pc), the phone however react as pluged in a charger. Their is no mtp or mass storage switch on notification.
I have reinstall the driver of samsung several times with smart switch & also made it manual by suppressing directrly the samsung usb driver from programs on control panel then reinstall it but no hope. I can't figure out eitheir its hard or soft. I had change my cable & also test my pc with another Galaxy s6 it works fine, but mine no.
i have made wipe cache / factory reset also made an initialisation from parameters the phone is formated but not recognised by the pc also test it on another pc but the same behaviour windows pcs doesn't recognise my phone.
However, i figure out that when its on the restore mode (volume down + lock + home) the pc recognise it by Odin and smart switch. I install the same rom on it also made an emergency restore with S/N and model and the process completes fine with smart switch and i saw the donwload progress bar completing on my phone. But still i m stuck its not recognised...
I tries to use *#0808# and its on AP / MTP + ADB but no hope
I plug it on ADB android studio but the device list is empty ....
Is it possible to change DPI without root as with 5.1.1 G920I doesnt seem to be an option to root.

Well, here is my first complaint about the S6 (on AT&T). It sure is fast and I have little grief about lag (had some weird lag this morning), but I was disappointed when I finally checked my RAM usage. No 3rd party apps running and everything stock AT&T and Samsung (except TW) disabled. 373mb left. Just 12% of 3gb. This leftover was the usual on my S5 with more stuff running in background. On my S6, about 50mb is background stuff I've added.
It seems that Samsung only added ram and debloating for their own purposes. I'd be loathe to see what would have been leftover if they hadn't slimmed their features.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running El Capitan on my Mac Air. I've had no problem transferring photos up until now. Hook up the USB, Photos opens and asks if I want to import. Bing, done.
Today Photos doesn't open automatically. I opened it manually to see if it would ask about importing; it didn't.
I checked "about this Mac/System information". The Mac doesn't appear to see that the Android is connected via USB. But it is. The Android is charging because it's hooked up. I've tried four different cords. Same result.
I downloaded the updated Samsung Switch. I've opened it several times, and plugged in the Android when told to. I've had two results: sometimes it didn't see the connection at all. The other times it tells me this kind of connection isn't supported, and to "change connection mode to media device".
I know there are various other ways to send photos - File Transfer, etc. What I want is to get back to where my Mac immediately and happily responded to seeing my S6 hooked up.
I've downloaded several updates in the past two days. Maybe one of those is the problem. I can't find a way to see which apps have updated. Any way to check that out? If the problem isn't the updates - why this has stopped working, when it was fine yesterday?
When I open the phone app, I want it to display the keypad/dialer by default. This is how it worked on my S3. Is there a way to change this setting? If not, any recommendations for a replacement phone app?
It seems silly to me that this is not the default behavior already. If I initiate opening the phone app, vs answering a call, it is most likely because I want to phone someone. Instead, the app seems to open to whatever you were doing last (viewing the call log, favorites, contacts). I shouldn't have to press an additional key to get to the dialer. It's a PHONE app for goodness sakes!
I will sometimes be redirected to the play store looking at some random app, but usually chrome opens up to some page along the lines of "congratulations you've won!" or "warning! your phone has a virus" etc.. This has been going on for months and I'm still not sure what triggers it. It usually happens right when I open up an app (no specific one, happens to all of them as far as I can tell) or after I've been using an app for a short amount of time, or when I'm using chrome.So far I have tried clearing the cache and data on chrome and running an addons detector, both to no avail. (no problematic apps were detected)

If the phone has gone back to sleep from non-use the location cannot be found. Location History shows me driving across town just fine, even though the phone is on standby on my belt for the trip. It does not show my new galaxy tab 4 either.
