Sep 10, 2015I'm currently on 5.0.2 and rooted using pingpong root so haven't tripped knox. Possible to update to 5.1.1 while keeping my root and knox intact.

Feb 6, 2015Started receiving the update notification yesterday but I am very happy with my phone as is. It's up-to-date up until this update and I'm the kind of person where I feel "if it aint broke don't fix it". I rather hate design changes especially. Anyhow, in the past the only way I knew for disabling the update was to root the phone and use an app to disable the AT&T update app. Are there any other non-root options?
This is the one thing I wish they'd follow from the iPhone. Create an update notification area in settings and let it stay there. I don't need a nag screen every few phone unlocks. At least it's not as bad as when I had a Droid 2. With that thing literally I'd be prompted each and every screen unlock. Think I'm only getting it once or twice a day with my S5.

When I tried to go to root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. the app said root access disabled and I was never able to get root access. Yesterday I updated to ICS from PC Companion and my app. was already there on my memory card. When I opened the app I was able to go to root folder and the app. haven't said that the root access is disabled. I disabled root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. but I am worrying about wheather any other app. that I install can change my root (default) files. Also my phone is in warranty and it is said that warranty will void if you root your phone. But I have updated my phone through PC Companion and just want to confirm that my warranty won't void.

I have tried the DooMLord, UnlockRoot &Super OneClick approaches and all have failed. I have installed the Java JDK, Android SDK, and the SE PC Companion software on my computer, so if any of that is useful, I'm willing to use it. I am a complete noob, but finally decided to root after constantly getting the "Low on space" error message every time I try to update something for the last week. I'm looking for a solution to either a) root the phone without unlocking the bootloader (which is my first choice) or b) solve the "low on space" issue. I love my XPERIA Play and changing phones is not something I'm willing to do. Hopefully you guys can help. Also, being a noob, any answers provided should be done with the mindset that you're talking to a five-year-old.

Sep 15, 2015I currently have Galaxy S6 G920FD. I prevously I am on 5.0.2 with CSC:GLB (Country:Philippines, Network:Globe). I successfuly flashed the French 5.1.1 ROM. Now I flashed back to my native Globe 5.1.1. Problem is the CSC is Thailand and not Globe. How do I change the CSC without root? Tried going to Recovery mode doing full cache wipe and full reset but still it sets the Thailand CSC.

I'm wanting to fully clear my phone as Chrome connected to WiFi can take up to 20 seconds to resolve pages and my battery life has declined to 12 hours or so when it used to last a day! I've installed Avast AV to scan for malware but nothing found but I don't feel confident that something isn't installed on it with all these vulnerabilities such as Stagefright and so on.
Other question I have is my phone was originally carrier locked to O2 (UK Carrier) so when install their firmware again will I be back to been carrier locked?
