I have a Galaxy S6 and since I rooted, I see that I cannot turn the reactivation lock on anymore. When I turn on, restart the phone and enter in download mode, it says that the lock is disabled.
I have bought the phone newly and not knowed that root would deactivate permanently this function. I want to enable it back. Is that possible?
My S6 when trying to install TWRP he does not care anymore, only the message "custom binary blocked by reactivation lock", tried installing another ROM again on top but the ODIN of the message "no binary is selected!" the system can get into donwload mode.
I cant change my screen lock setting (either to swipe, pattern or finger print), currently it is in pin setting. It shows disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage.
I need to disable the "Reactivation Lock" to flash TWRP recovery from Odin (failing because of R/L) but everytime I try to turn it off and enter my samsung password it will turn back on. I tried removing samsung account or deleting it altogether but no luck.now I can't receive OTA because of Ping pong root and I can't flash because of R/L. the ONLY way to fix this is to flash the exact same firmware (and CSC) as the current firmware via Odin. I'll never use R/L ever!
I cant boot my phone it doesnt go further than the samsung logo, i can go into some sort of custom os mode but when i cancel thay it doesnt do anything. I tried booting into recovery but it doesnt work. This happened after i flashed then zero flte samsung galaxy s6 TWRP (primary download) onto a fodaphone netherlands normal s6.
I wanted to use a new sports app today but it wouldn't work correctly because the phone won't find a GPS signal. The usual icon isn't appearing and phone just remains in searching mode. I'm sure I opted to not notify people of my location through latitude but I've used the Google sat-nav since. When I go to locations services GPS satellites is unticked, I tick it and exit but everytime I go back it is unticked?
I opened the Messaging from one of the shortcuts at the bottom.I checked my message. I clicked the back button twice to reach my home screen.I can see that my Active applications shows that Messaging is still running?I had to "Exit" from Messaging through that.My thought was, when I hit the back button frmo the Messaging screen, it should close/exit that from the background (i.e.) it should not list in the Active Applications window?
I am trying to turn off my lock screen but it is not lit up as an option to select. It says "disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage." How do I go about being able to turn off my lock screen?
Some reason a monster energy wallpaper from zedge somehow turned into a splash screen that won't go back to stock even after Odin flash stock multiple times .It was only a wallpaper at that point now after Samsung boot then the monster energy logo then the t-mobile boot screen.Everything works fine just can't get rid of it even after multiple Odin flash to stock and factory resets
I've seen a few dual SIM adapters available whereby one's usual micro-SIM remains inside the iPhone and an external second SIM is connected via a thin ribbon cable; it is then possible to switch between the two SIMs using menus within the iPhone.
When swapping SIMs manually, i.e. ejecting one SIM and inserting another, iMessage is reactivated by sending an SMS to +44 7537 4102X1 (where X can be any digit from 0 to 9). Given that one typically swaps SIMs when roaming, it can become expensive to swap SIMs frequently. Can anyone confirm whether iMessage remains active when swapping SIMs via the iPhone menus? I'm also wondering whether perhaps iMessage even remains active on both numbers simultaneously, even though standard SMS obviously would not do so.
Would like to use scanner but don't understand why the security lock timer is disabled (greyed out) so I use the pattern instead so I can utilize the lock timer.
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
Tried a few times to set this up using known locations. The phone recognizes its at the known location but i still cant unlock without having to use the fingerprint scan. It would be key if i didn't have to use the scan every time Im in a comfortable locale.
I was driving with Google Maps and using my data plan. As I was moving through Wi-Fi areas, Google Maps was interrupted with a request for me to try and log on to the active Wi-Fi site I was driving through How do I stop that from happening? When I'm traveling, I want to use data. I tried to disable wifi, but it reconnected by itself.
I disabled the stock weather widget a few weeks ago and today i decided to enable it again but i have a feeling I am missing something because although its enabled again, its not working! I cant get it to display on the lock screen nor as a widget on the home screen! I have a feeling i disabled summit else that needs to be enabled again for it to work??
I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S5 and when I have my Sony headphones plugged in the microphone is disabled. This worked fine on my Galaxy S3, why this would be?
I've disabled some of the bloatware on my phone in order to get better battery life, however as soon as I did that I couldn't access play store anymore. I then enabled back all the bloatware but that didn't work. How to get play store working again?
As far as I have looked for, there is no available solution: Wanam module requires xposed, which is not yet available for our S6 64 bits architecture, Alliance fwk announces the feature but it is not active,
So I decided to implement the solution based on the tutorial [URL] ....
I can't get the app working on the phone (it crashes). I suspect that zipalign is doing 32 bits alignment whereas the S6 is 64 bits. I found no indications on Android dev site..
So out of curiosity, what default apps/services do you have disabled to achieve the best SOT? I've been experimenting enabling/disabling some applications and it seems to directly impact battery life.
For instance disabling "Samsung Push Services" seems to bring a little boost to battery performance.
Carrier bloat aside because that's a given to be disabled.
i'd only used the sgs2 for a couple of days before going on holiday for a couple of weekshile away i turned off data roaming (there was wifi where i was staying)ll advertised sw updates had been appliedhe sgs2 was repeatedly shutting down - not rebooting, powering off - sometimes 4-5 times in a single daya couple of times it did this just as i pressed the home key - the screen would light up, but in less than a second it went black - the phone had turned offit happened when on battery, it happened when plugged into the charger, in a case, out of a case, in my pocket, sitting on a tableried lots of things, deleting apps, reset, etc., no difference'd turn it on when i noticed, by chance i found that sometimes it powered up with data roaming enabled, all by itself, annoying, i disabled it again, then always checked after each shut down, maybe one in 4-5 times it restarted with roaming enabledow that i'm back in the uk, no more problems, hasn't shut down once in three dayssim is vodafone, the network the phone roamed to was vodafone spainaside from roaming, and turning off data roaming, nothing else changed
The sent SMS text remains in the SMS & MMS list even after the SMS has been sent. I dont need to archive the sent SMS though. Moreover, when someone replies to the SMS I sent, my original text sent to him also returns as a trail, something like a chat session. I want to disable this function. Even tried the toggle for switching off "Save text" option.
I've just come out of a 2 year contract with AT&T and I'm eligible for the free unlock. I follow the email I've been sent but still no joy. Do I need an AT&T& sim card in the phone when I do it? I've spoken to AT&T& and they say that everything is ok their end and I'm out of the 90 days apple care window.
I have woken up this morning to find that my LED (red) is always on.I had a text come through and the green LED was flashing (so it looked like the red and green were alternating).I checked for water damage, fully charged the battery, restored / backup the phone and still the red light remains on all of the time.I checked the forums but found nothing on this ... any ideas?I would take it into phones4u, but last time this happened it took 3 weeks to simply replace the USB (had charging issues
I have a 8520 curve and have loaded the most up to date version of BBM, but when i try to add a contact the request remains at pending. I have a data plan and my provider is O2 in the UK...
