Using 5.02 and the email client only syncs when I update the time period or incoming server settings. I have two other accounts, one pop and one exchange, that work without issue. This imap account won't sync. If I delete and reinstall it works for a while and then the problem comes up again.
I hate my clock radio on my night stand. The only thing it gets used for now, is occasionally playing some music before I go to sleep. Does anything exist that would let me play music for some period of time (15, 20, 30 minutes, etc) then automagically shut off? Similar to a sleep mode on my radio. I would love to see this feature in Slacker, but I either can't find it or it hasn't been pushed from feature request to real feature.
Since first day I'm having problems with music player. When I click to play a song it takes several seconds to update screen, moreover hardware buttons doesn't do anything. After a few seconds mobile starts to work again, and everything seems well. It happens with any application that play music (Microsoft, Nokia and mine), and with any music file. Same files where working perfectly on a Lumia 800.
When playing streaming content using the XBox Music player the song will skip at about 10 seconds before the end of the song. The issue is only with streamed content (songs stored local on the device work fine)It does not appear to repro with the Nokia music playerKnown issue? Other than downloading the song is there a work around?
I'm looking for a decent music player and have tried several apps out, but in the process I decided I didn't like my music files being in /sdcard/media/music as I'd loaded 'em initially... So I moved them to /external_sd/music, only to find some apps wouldn't allow me to access the external card...
So I moved them all back, to /sdcard/music/ now, and only ONE app out of three will actually find and play them. The other apps are convinced all my old files still exist, no matter how many times I verify that both the SD card and internal SD memory have had those files removed.
So it seems that there's some sort of internal OS-level library or database of my music files that's not being refreshed no matter how many times I reboot the phone or rescan all my libraries. I can find the new files fine, select them in a file browser and play them with any installed music app (so I know it's POSSIBLE for them to see the files!) but they simply won't add them to their library or delete the old ones.
My Galaxy S6 was one of the loudest phones I've owned. Its still loud but only when listening to music or watching YouTube, every other app isn't as loud anymore.
For example, I got a music game, when I listen to the song from the music player its perfectly loud, when I listen to the same exact mp3 in the game its no as loud anymore like it use to be.
Is this a known bug? is there a fix or update coming to address this?
PS: I noticed this RIGHT AFTER the 5.1.1 update (on verizon) before every app in my phone was loud
Since the update my music player randomly stops and says it can't play files that could be previously played? Also every time I press the home screen Google Play store shows up.
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.
The apple logo appears for 5 seconds then disappears for 10 then appears for five and so on. I can get it to the connect to iTunes screen but as soon as I unplug it from the wall it shuts off completely. A laptop with iTunes isn't enough to power it up.
My S5 takes 30 seconds to send each text using the stock app as well as 3rd party apps. This has been going on for while. No, I don't have that text delay thing turned on. I even activated it and deactivated it but no change. Cleared the messaging cache, cleared the browser cache, deleted almost all the texts, the little circle just spins 30 times before it finally sends it. What else could I try?
My Samsung Galaxy S5 is turning off after 20 seconds on. It starts itself again and the same procedure continues. I cant change it back to default since I need to transfer my pictures on the unit.
Every time I open my phone with my password, it will lock itself within 10 seconds unless I keep "active" on whatever program I'm in. I've had the phone about 3 months. It didn't do this until I called AT&T last week and did some things that were suggested to me to save data. I didn't do anything with the display settings--in fact, I've gone back in to be sure the sleep setting is 10 minutes (unless I otherwise lock it myself).
Just today, my phone started waking itself up every few seconds after I had pressed the lock button and this is severely draining my battery. It has been doing it all day. I restarted my phone and it keeps happening. I have not manually updated anything recently. What can I do to make it stop!?
Whenever a song is finished playing on my phone, it automatically skips the first few seconds of the next song. It wasn't a problem but now it has become annoying.
Strange issue with my S6. The phone application takes 5-7 seconds to open every time. Once I am in the app there's no slow down. I have cleared the cache partition and restarted the phone. I have also cleared data/cache on all three 'Phone' apps. Not sure why there are three.
Since purchasing my galaxy s6, the device has been hanging up the call about three seconds after dialing - just saying "call ended".
After dialing a few times the call goes through.
The problem persists with different service providers.
It seems to be a software issue as it resolved one day suddenly after returning from a trip abroad with the device, but has now returned after upgrading to android 5.1...
Every so often, the keyboard will just close while typing for a few seconds. It disappears completely.
I was using "Swype" and thought it was a problem with that, but after switching keyboards and re-installing them, I realized it's a universal issue. This especially happens in Whatsapp, but I spend 95% of typing time there, so I can't say fairly.
I just got my S5 yesterday. When viewing a video in YouTube, the video will ALWAYS hang at 30 second intervals (not exact, but close). Pull up any video, hit play, everything is fine and stutter-free, but then at 30 seconds the video freezes (audio continues). If I move the timeline position cursor, the video continues again, but will freeze up again after another 30 seconds. It does this every time without fail.
The specific solutions (the few that seem to work for the person posting) don't apply to the S5).
S5 is switching between the 2.4GHz & the 5GHz bands every few seconds. (Phone gets hot during.) Had the phone since Verizon released it; issue just started 2 days ago. No problem with daughter's S5 using same network.
Now every time i load up chrome. If crashes within 10 seconds using about 1Gb of RAM and 50% cpu. so chrome is totally unusable for me.
What i have done is -exported all bookmarks from chrome desktop -deleted all sync data -removed chrome completely from desktop and laptop -fully reinstalled android on my phone -reinstalled chrome on devices -imported bookmarks via desktop -let them all resync
Still got the issue. Huge memory leak and crashing.
after updating ICS and I had some problem bout the screen because after 20 seconds idle status then I pressing now the home or power button the screen become blank..efore u enter the lock screen u had to press power button 6 times or more than...I'm so dissappointed cause everytime I had a call I didn't see who are calling I had to press more than six times the power button to show the screen
one week ago i installed OTA 5.1.1' but it's not the new with the new icons, and i am having some issues with it, the phone lags in the settings app for the first couple of seconds, when someone call me and i slide the green circle to the right the in-call screen appears but the phone freeze for two seconds and then return to the screen you see when someone calling you again....sometimes i have to slide it 3 times to answer the call, i didn't have these issues in 5.1.1, now the question is for those who have the newest 5.1.1, do you have these issues??
My S5's screen turns on every 15 seconds or so while the phone is charging. Its not that big a deal, but I can't imagine it causes the phone to charge faster when it is turning on the screen all the time.
What's odd is that it stops doing it when my phone gets to 90%-charged. From 90% to 100%, it doesn't do it, but any percentage lower than 90%, it turns on about every 15-20 seconds and stays on for like 2 seconds, turns itself off, then turns on again 15 seconds later.I have browsed through the Settings pages, but can't find anything that looks like a way to stop this.
2 email accounts; Gmail n Blueyonder Virgin em most often used. Am aware 1 fix is to delete my BY account and set up not clicking on the Premium box. works & em stay in Inbox but email thing is slowed down and not sure I'm "losing" by not clicking Premium setup. Is this problem with disappearing email gonna b a problem for while? Do I contact Virgin Media?
Recently my T-Mobile GS5 constantly keeps buffering when watching youtube. This is the first time its ever done this. It will play about 30 seconds or so and then buffer. Sometimes if I restart the phone it stops. Whats causing this?
