Dec 8, 2015I'm thinking of moving from apple to android to have borrowed my friends S5 to see if i like it. So far its pretty good but i'm struggling with my music. I have a 60gb iTunes library but usually i only have around 20gb (2600 songs) on my iphone. I've tried to get this on to a SD card in the S5 but i keep having problems. Here's what I've tried:
1) sync iTunes using Syncr. - This put most of the music on the phone but android wasn't showing it all. ES file explorer only showed 400 songs, CloudPlayer only showed 776 and Poweramp showed most of them but they had unknown artist and unknown album. Because of the Unknown Artist and Album issue i have gone into iTunes and converted the ID3 tags.
2) sync iTunes using Doubletwist airsync - This seems to have put all of the music on the SD Card however ES File Explorer is only showing 1506 songs, Cloudplayer showins 397 and is trying to import 1005 more, Poweramp is showing 2423 songs but still have unknown artist and unknown album, also some songs will not play, there is no error message displayed.

I am trying to erase all the music from my iPhone and then load a new music library. In iTunes I go to Music > Sync Music > Entire music library, then attempt to Sync. I get the "this will erase all the music on the iPhone" message, I say OK. I then get a dialog "The iPhone cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all the items in the iTunes library....."
The new library is about half the size of the library on the iPhone, so it is obviously not erasing.

May 7, 2012I was having some issues with my MacBook Pro and had to reset it as recommended by an apple tech. When I went to sync my iPhone afterward, a message came up saying that I needed to transfer the songs on my phone to my iTunes library or MacBook (can't remember exactly), or risk losing them - so I did. Ever since then however, iTunes will only load roughly 100 songs onto my iPhone, when it used to fill my phone right up. The songs in my library still play on my laptop no problem, so there is no issues with the songs themselves. I tried 'googling' a fix and found a suggestion restore my iPhone from backups, which I did and then my phone was finally syncing normally and filling up the entire phone. This sync was taking several hours however, and I went out for dinner and drinks during it and was surprised that it was still not quite finished syncing when I arrived home. Then a friend called and it was a bit of an emergency, so I took the call, but while I was on the phone the cord came loose from my MacBook and the entire sync session was ruined, and now it won't sync properly again even when I reset from a backup.

Feb 27, 2015Having trouble trying to sideload apps on my unrooted Verizon Galaxy S5 running lollipop 5.0. I have the unknown sources box checked, I install things from the Samsung store with no problems. So, from my phone, with chrome browser, I downloaded the APK file for Facebook lite from apk mirror website.
Then I went to my stock file manager and found that file in the download folder obviously, which is on the internal memory. I click on it, and it seems to show the proper screen; name of the app, "do you want to install this application? It will get access to:...." and it lists all of the permissions. So I read and scroll down then the options are "cancel" and "install".
So obviously I try to click on the install button, but absolutely nothing happens. It's not a delayed response, no different if I long touch. Nothing. Yet if I click cancel it works immediately. So I tried moving the file to the SD card memory and got the same results. I can't figure it out. I've tried Googling and it get no good results, everything just shows the regular method that I'm using already. I can't find anything specific for this phone in case that's why it's not working. I've tried sideloading before a while back and had the same problem on 4.4.4.

May 5, 2015New S6 ... email app keeps hanging and won't load up new messages unless I (i) go to smart manager and "clean all" ... that works most times; or (ii) use the "close all apps" feature ... that always works ... when I do one of those two things and reopen the email app, the new messages are visible and can be opened.
Other hang ups include inability to open email messages in the inbox ... and sometimes the entire inbox screen just goes blank.
interestingly, I still always get notifications when new messages come in ... so does not appear to be a sync issue.
Galaxy S5 :: Why Can't Get Images To Load On Samsung Phone
May 27, 2015Almost every image, expect images send over whats app or other P2P transfers don't work.
To be more specific, when I search images on google i only get black results, with the image dimensions loading in. I can see whether an image is square, a rectangle or whatever but the image is always completely white or black. This also goes for capcha's used on websites and other images that load in for example pop ups.
I have 5mbs Internet one of the fastest abonnoments I can get. What is up with my phone? how do i get images to load again?
