It seems like my touchscreen is broken. first it showed strange colours and the touch stopped working and now it is black.
I just managed to backup my pictures with a usb cable and delete the internal storrage.
How can i turn off my device and how can i make a factory reset?

I picked up my phone as I usually do, slid open the keyboard, typed out a text message, and then attempted to press the send button with my finger. For some reason, my touch didn't register and I had to manually select the send button by using the keyboard. I thought it was a glitch, however I am not able to select anything using the touch screen with the keyboard open. For example, if I press the lock button and attempt to unlock my phone with the touchscreen while the keyboard is open, I get no response. Also, if the keyboard is open and I try to open an app or perform any function using the touch screen, I recieve no response. However, the touch screen performs perfectly fine with the keyboard close. The main reason I got the Droid 2 was because of the physical keyboard paired with the touchscreen so I would like to fix this problem as soon as possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy s6 edge screen just went dark after a phone call. the touch and everything works. I can receive calls. I know how to pick calls since I just have to swipe at the bottom so I know the touch works and everything works. I get notification tones too. I tried to shut it off and maybe start it again but I don't know how to do it since i'll have to confirm by tapping the screen which I cant see anything on.
I have done the volume keys and home key tricks. phone restarts perfectly but with a blank / black screen like before. it was hot but now cool. screen is still off. I left to charge earlier before the fateful call so I don't know if maybe its over charged. but it seems everything is working but I cant see anything on my screen. its as if the phone has been switched off screen wise.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI, until about two weeks ago, was using the mult-touch keyboard option and it was working fine. About a week ago, anytime I would type something and hit the space bar, the zoomed in window for texting would zoom back out to the window that appears below (stock Motorola text software). I tried it again and the same thing happened. Everytime I use the space bar in multi-touch, it would exit out of the text editing and show my text below in the skinny rectangular "viewing" bar. I also tried this in Gmail. The exact same thing happens. I am using Swype, which I would rather not use, but would like to know if this is fixable without doing a factory reset. Doing a factory reset is far too painful with having to download all the apps I once had and having to start over in certain games because it erases any progress, etc. If the only option is to factory reset, then so be it. That needs to be a last resort though.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI keep finding my phone will do random things in my pocket when out and its really frustrating i had tried changing lots of settings todo with the screen as i thought it was when i got a notification it would wake the phone and my leg would simulate screen presses.
That isnt the case however. I have narrowd it down to when i get in my car and the bluetooth connects to my car radio it makes the touch screen active, the screen does not light up but if you touch it as it connects it will wake the phone.
Dissappointed to find I can't disable the touch screen. I've had a Bold 9900 for just over a week now and it's starting to drive me crazy. On a call it went to loud speaker or hold phone function for whatever reason or call to somebody else at the same time or various other irritations. The worst thing is that I work in technical support and many people call me every day on Blackberry. So during the last week I deal with lots of unsatisfied and confused customers.Is there any possibility to turn off the touch screen in a call mode? One of our users upgraded to the Blackberry Bold 9900 primarily because of the improved keyboard and weight. He is a longtime BB user most recently upgrading from an earlier Bold 9700 before that the 8800 series as well as earlier models. He does not like the touch screen and it is driving him crazy. I cannot find anything about turning it off. How can you disable the touch screen on it? I have seen posts on other sites requesting this, but have seen no solutions, other than adjusting the sensitivity.

During the workout the UI became high latency and almost completely unresponsive. It would take 3 4 presses to the Power Key to get the device to wake up. When device did wake up, the CapTouch UI would not accept any swipe or touch gestures. I finally was able to power the device down hoping for a graceful reset. However I was concerned that I was never going to get to the point of getting to the power down screen. seen this issue on other Android devices and know that there are times when a battery pull is needed due to a deadlock or a process gone haywire.

There's a blue LED light on my S5 that's been on constantly since yesterday. I had LiteFlow installed, but I uninstalled it because I've heard there are issues.
I pulled the battery and I've restarted the phone. Nothing seems to make it go away. The light comes on as soon as i put the battery back in, before the phone is even turned on.
I have the G920F, I was wondering if there is a way to re-calibrate the touch screen, the issue I am having is on some games such as boom beach where i have to tap a certain little part of the screen and sometimes I am having to tap 3/4 times before it seems to register, on my older s4 this was perfect and registered first go every time.
