After clicking on a video link, 'open with' popped out allowing me to select what application to use to open the video. I think I accidentally clicked "always open with Internet browser" and now I'm struggling to download videos using common applications like fvd etc.

Wake up this morning, go to the stock music app, and all of my music has disappeared without a trace or an explanation.Tried a different app and still nothing. Pretty speechless and irritated at this point, I had a lot of music on there and hadn't backed any of it up yet. Why this may have happened? Is this music recoverable?

The clock came with the S6, so it the original Samsung group of apps.

Switching off and back on works, although sometimes I have to do that a couple of times.
The weirdest thing just happened on my S6: the "mobile data" switch in the swipe-down picker has disappeared!
I've rebooted the device, and even deleted the TouchWiz cache and data, but it didn't work.
I downloaded tons of apps for my galaxy s6 edge 64 gb so i made groups according to the app type but yesterday i went to a snow park where the temperature was like -7°C so when we got out, it showed that my sim card was removed so i restarted it. When it switched on, all those groups were gone except one which had facebook, tumblr and vine. When i see my installed apps on the play store, it shows all of them (the apps which disappeared) are still installed. They also appear in the app manager.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was using my phone earlier, everything was fine. I looked at it later, all my folders and icons are gone from my home page. The only thing on the page are the four things on the bottom. Phone, Chrome, Contacts and apps. I can get to everything from the app drawer, should be a simple matter to repopulate my home page. I've restarted my phone several times. I've both just restarted, and shut down, then restarted. All of my history seems to still be in the apps, I.e my email accts are signed in, my s-health history is there. The only thing that's changed are the icons have vanished from my home page. View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the stock email app on my S3, there was always a button you could push to get rid of spam on your phone (or to mark an address as spam). I don't see it on the S5. Is it gone? Do you have to turn it on?
Between this and the inability to sync properly, they really screwed up the email app.
So, out of no where, my album titled "Screenshots" just disappeared out of my gallery. I restarted the phone, but it still didn't come back.

My mate was mucking about with my phone earlier and changed the wallpaper to a pic from facebook so I'm thinking it maybe has something to do with that... I've been through the settings and can't find anything... been in the widgets to try and get it back cause I remember on my old samsung you could put it on the screen as a widget... but no luck!
I've turned it on and off but no luck, and I don't want to have to resort to restoring it to the factory settings cause I don't want to lose everything..

WiFi networks stop showing up after a few days of Root, Rom, or Kernel. My S6 connects to the saved ones, but I have to add the new ones manually. And I experienced it with :
*Stock Rom + Adam kernel 2.3
*Stock Rom + UniKernel v8-0002 (both Odin and TWRP)
*XtreStoLite Deo-Mod 2.3
I have the 920F model and activated it with a UK sim a few months ago.. Have been using a US sim for the past 2 weeks, but today I went into an area with no service for a bit. Went back into an area with service and suddenly it says 'Not registered on network' when I go to make a call and 'No SIM card'.
I have gone into flight mode, cleaned and checked SIM (not a problem with the card), and then when I went to check the APN settings I noticed there was no way to get into my 'Mobile Network' settings! Its just gone!
Is it possible that it has reverted back to the European region lock and is awaiting a European SIM to be inserted before I can re-insert my US?
If it is a region lock, is there anyway to unlock it without using a European SIM as I no longer have mine and dont have quick access to one either.
Yesterday I set up voice commands on my S6 under Google/Google Now. Under settings there was an opportunity to select whether you want the voice recognition just from within Google or "from any screen". I opted for "from any screen"had the "from any screen". Today no matter what I do it is just not available - the ONLY option shown is from within Google. The 'voice training' is gone, option for any screen is gone and I cannot get it back no matter what I tried.
I have tried it with TouchWiz, Nova launcher and Google Now launcher - same problem. I have tried English (US) English (Canada) and English (UK) as default language all to no avail.
Yesterday when it was "working" I definitely saw that the function was sporadic, sometimes worked, sometimes not. But now I can't even select that option.
I've tried to edit the upper quick access panel, search for it everywhere. The mobile data button just disappeared. There is a possible glitch with the software update but I didn't have any recently.

However it came at a price. many of my contacts have now disappeared. is there anyway i can restore them?
View 3 Replies View RelatedBefore the latest update, most of my apps were organized into folders and some of these folders were placed on the home screens. After the updates, some of the folders are "gone" not only from the home screen but from the apps area. I can see the apps if I go into App Manager, but I cannot open them from there. So I currently cannot find any way to open many apps that I previously downloaded (and app manager says I still have). Strangely, this only happened with some apps and folders but not all . What do I need to do to regain access to these apps?

The left portion of the image is the unlocked state; as you can see the notifications show up in the upper left corner of the screen. The right portion is the locked screen, which hides the notifications previously shown. The notifications used to show in both of the screens but after a recent OS update they stopped showing.

after failing miserably with kies to try and get update for ICS (kept telling me there was update but taking hours and then timing out)I finally received the ota update (network vodafone spain) but because I was using packet data at the time I thought I would wait till I got home and use wifi,it give me the option of postponing for a hour. How secure is find my mobile website, because even if they requested password change I would have received sms notification from my mail to go through my Samsung account.
