My device is Galaxy S6 920F
WiFi networks stop showing up after a few days of Root, Rom, or Kernel. My S6 connects to the saved ones, but I have to add the new ones manually. And I experienced it with :
*Stock Rom + Adam kernel 2.3
*Stock Rom + UniKernel v8-0002 (both Odin and TWRP)
*XtreStoLite Deo-Mod 2.3
I have the 920F model and activated it with a UK sim a few months ago.. Have been using a US sim for the past 2 weeks, but today I went into an area with no service for a bit. Went back into an area with service and suddenly it says 'Not registered on network' when I go to make a call and 'No SIM card'.
I have gone into flight mode, cleaned and checked SIM (not a problem with the card), and then when I went to check the APN settings I noticed there was no way to get into my 'Mobile Network' settings! Its just gone!
Is it possible that it has reverted back to the European region lock and is awaiting a European SIM to be inserted before I can re-insert my US?
If it is a region lock, is there anyway to unlock it without using a European SIM as I no longer have mine and dont have quick access to one either.
When I try to send a picture to someone it just sits there and says sending forever. I had wifi on so the connection is good. Why is this?

Earlier changes of phones has given me the opportunity to access wifi networks (SSID) I've used before. Now I have to add (connect and reenter key) all networks all over again.
Is there a fix that can bring back my "old" networks?
I can't seem to find my saved WiFi networks when I'm not around them. I believe before there was an option for that in Android. I would like to delete some of the WiFi networks I connected to before. Where can I find the list of remembered WiFi networks on S6 G920F?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Verizon S5. I suddenly have a problem connecting to wifi networks. When I go into the settings>wifi I can see networks no problem but when I select one to connect to there are two options, connect and cancel. For some reason the connect option is grayed out, well actually its light blue. The network I'm trying to connect to is secure and I have the password but even when I enter the password I can't select the connect option. I connected to a hotel network just last night no problem and today I have this.
View 12 Replies View Related2 weeks ago my wifi wasn't even turning on, no matter what i tried, the wifi button was always on off.
Then today it just randomly worked and I was able to turn on my wifi, it allowed me to use my wifi network for 5 min.
I decided to turn the wifi off then on again, and now it doesn't scan for networks. So even though my wifi is on, there are no list of networks I can choose to join.
edit: Smart network switch is always off, because mobile data is always disabled for me, Also i cannot find reply button.
I can only find 1/10 of the 5GHz wifi networks.

With all of my previous Android devices, I could go into my wifi setting and get to a list of ALL saved networks, even if they are out of range. From there I could tell the device to forget old/random networks that I don't plan to connect to regularly (e.g. coffee shops, doctor's offices, etc). I haven't been able to find that ability on my Galaxy S6.
When I go to wifi settings, I get a list of all networks in range, and I can tap (or long press) and forget those. But I can't find anyway to get to a list of saved networks that are out of range.
My phone will no longer automatically connect to saved WiFi networks. It knows they're there, because if I go to Settings -> WiFi, it shows up in the list as a "saved" one. Tapping on it and selecting "connect" does nothing. I have to turn off the WiFi and turn it back on, and it will then automatically connect.
Additionally, WiFi will not stay off. If I'm some place I don't want it to connect to WiFi, I turn it off so that I don't get messages that networks are available (specifically when I'm driving, it's really annoying to deal with that over Waze).
I've got a Sprint GS5, running stock (not rooted), on 5.0. No updates available for the phone. It does this on every WiFi network I have saved (home, school, and school apartment, among others). I've also tried turning Smart Switch off and on, it makes no difference for either issue.
my mom's Wifi is called Linksys and I had added to the list of Wifi's to automatically connect to.
Well, it just happens that "Linksys" is also the name of other hundreds of Wifi's all over the place, and my E6 keeps on trying to connect to them. I have tried many times to disconnect from this network but the phone attempts reconnecting right away.
How can I completely remove Linksys off the list of connectable networks? The main problem is that sometimes I am at a place with this Linksys network and the phone thinks it is supposed to be connecting to it but in reality it cant (maybe secured?) and I end up with no connection because the phone thinks it is connecting to Linksys.
this is my first WP, I made the jump from iPhone 5 to the Lumia 1520 with the Cyan update on ATT. I have noticed that apps like Facebook and Instagram take a long time to load updates when I am off wifi.

I've restarted the phone and reset network settings several times. Airport mode is off. This occurs in multiple WiFi hotspots that are recognized by other iPhones purchased at the same time. Apple wants to be paid to help (phone is 7 months old).

It takes like 8 seconds to open a MMS in the default Samsung messages app? In Google messenger app from play store, its instant.
Also, anyway to hide the group conversation check box? I get it, we need to convert to MMS, but wish they just hid that line since its really annoying in the Messages app. I want to give it a shot before I disable the app and go to Google Messenger.
Hi, I have nokia 5800 Xpressmusic and I have problem with my wifi. I recently bought it and I cant get wifi networks on the same place that I got 5 networks with my old phone nokia e51. At home I could get 5 networks in my building and now with my nokia 5800 I can't get any of this. It says network not found, my neighbor have a wifi router and with my nokia e51 I had 100% signal now i have (some times) only 20% on the samo place that I had 100%. Can anybody tell me what is the problem???

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get to the bottom of my high Android System usage (currently 60%), and noticed that if I go into settings>wifi, I can see that my phone is searching for wifi networks every 10 seconds (it shows up in the gray bar near the top that says "WI-FI NETWORKS"). If I go to menu>advanced wifi I have everything un-checked, including "allow Wi-Fi scanning." I would think this would prevent the phone's wifi from constantly searching, but apparently not.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI hgave reset network, reset phone, hard soft shut down, plugged it into the router-time capsule, and nothing. It just keeps on spinning around and around. I do not have a VPN network, but I tried that, and still nothing. My office is where I have wifi-plus their are 10 other wifi's in the building it used to pick up, now nothing. Even at home nothing. Just spinning and spinning.It is 2 weeks old. I bought it in Canada, and am now in Africa. I purchased it factory unlocked, and it is running the 5.1.1 software. I don't want to take my phone to the apple resellers, as I bought it at an actual Apple store, and I don't trust the guy here in Tanzania. Is their anything that I have missed that I could possibly do? If you say fixed or static IP, I have no idea how to do that so if you could explain where that said IP is so I could utilize it, and how do I input it to my phone. I'm thinking that is my last hope. Other than that the chip or antenna are fried somehow-even though it is brand new, and has had a case on it the whole time.

I have an iPhone 4 and it has been using from 10MB to 100MB of my data plan while I'm on a WiFi network. This usually happens at night or when my iPhone is on standby and is killing my 200MB plan.I am almost always on a WiFi network and the most data usage seems to be around 12AM - 6AM. I have just picked up on this when I was out of state and needed to have my 3G on to get good reception (data roaming was off). Before then I usually never had my cellular network on and never had much of a problem.Now i have come home to an AT&T M-Cell. I cannot connect to the M-Cell unless I'm on 3G.
I have read many forums that all say that you need to turn off your data while I'm on a WiFi network. However this is just a work around and not a solution to what is actually using so much data. Has anyone found a better solution or has found an app that will keep a log of what is taking up so much of my data plan?

I have a official samsung charger and fast charging adapter and just bought the Samsung official wireless Charging pad. I have had a problem with it charging, it charges consistently but takes a very long time to charge (more then it is supposed to) ex: it says it will take 2 hrs and 24 mins to full charge and ends up taking 4 hours to charge! My charging cable has been acting up lately and was wondering If that was the problem? I have been charging without case on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I use my phone on Wifi, it works fine for about 10-15 minsutes and then crashes the router that it connects to making the internet on the whole network go down. this happens at home, at other peoples homes, at work or even in public wifi areas like hotels or retail stores (yes I've tried it a few different places)I've tried calling my phone provider a long time ago and they were stumped at this issue but since the wifi technically works the stores refused to do anything on a warranty basis while it was still active. It's not like wifi is a must for me, the internet speed on the torch is still quite slow and I have tons of data on my plan that I don't use but I wouldn't mind getting it fixed so that I can actually turn on my wifi antenna without worrying about crashing everyone's networks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got the new Xperia Z3, it has lots of software issues. One of those is the fact that it doesn't remember Wifi networks anymore. I have to re-select the network and re-enter the password every time.
I have read that removing all remembered Wifi networks works, but this solution is unacceptable to me as I travel a lot and have over a hundred networks remembered in my Google account. I'd rather stop buying Sony products than have to re-enter those networks again.
