Yesterday i update the official new version of 5.0.2 on my Galaxy S6. Then i charged my s6, at some point I wanted to see how much he charged i press the home button NOTHING happened. I try to reboot NOTHING odin it does not recognize the device. The battery is full so that is not the problem what can i do.
View 2 RepliesI noticed that lots of apps do load when the phone starts (boots up), and some of them I really do not need them (until I use them), so they keep running in the back (memory).
Is there a way of preventing apps to load when the phone starts up; or any good (and free) app that I can select the apps I don't whant to be loaded when the phone starts up?
I had to do a software update (obviously) because most of the features on my phone were not working, including the proximity sensor. Since updating it yesterday (9.6.10) I have had even more trouble. I can no longer set a password for when locking my phone. This is hugely inconvenient as security is one of the most important features for me. The only time it prompts a password is when the phone switches on. Also, when locking the phone, whatever was displayed before locking remains displayed, it just disables the ability to edit. Thus defeating the object.
When I locked my phone I liked the fact that whatever I was doing was hidden, and a password was necessary to access it! Finally, the proximity sensor to my holster is still malfunctioning. It activates when the phone is 3/4 of the way in, but the screen is then switched back on, along with full keyboard function when it is fully in the case. Thus also removing the ability to "lock upon holstering". I'm not happy with this software update and please tell me there is a fix for it, because I'm ready to throw this thing away. Last night, my carrier pushed the Device management update to my SII. I accepted to install and since then the handset is stuck on a white background screen with "Software Update", a 0% status bar and "loading..." and thats all. This is been there since 4-5 hours now. It eventually drained the entire battery. When I charged it and powered it on, it still comes back to the "Software Update" screen.I tried to do a hard reset with both the volume button and the power button. It still comes back to the white screen.

I got this phone shortly before Sprint pushed the Lollipop update so I cannot say for sure if I was having this issue prior to Lollipop.

I updated my BB 9700 to v 5.0.0.545 (Platform 5.1.0.140)and subsequently pressing on the "mute" button no longer turns on/off "standby mode.I tried the mute button during a phone call and that works fine. So I don't think the issue is hardware.Plus it was all fine before the device update.

View 11 Replies View Relatedi have a bold 9000 given to me from my aunt because of this problem.i don't know what it should look like when it boots up or when it's plugged into the computer because it doesn't do anything when i try to turn it on.When i remove and replace the battery the red led light comes up for a little. The buttons then begin to flash for about 2 seconds then die. It does this repeatedly until only a little bit of the trackball is flashing.When plugged into the computer, it just does the red light thing again and my computer recognizes it and makes the usb noise numerous times periodically (and doesn't stop).
I've google'd around and searched around for solutions and I've tried every single one. Wipe and reinstall OS. That doesn't work because when i try app loader it says it cannot connect to the device in the second stage (sorry don't remember which one). Every single battery swap method. Leaving the battery out for 48 hours. You name it.
I suspected that his BB has an OS issue. I hv tried to reload d app mgr on da comp but there ain't even a C drive to get to da Application Loader - it won't even connect to da comp. So re-installing or reverting back to d old OS is out of da question.Then I tried pressing on da call end button while putting da batt back on... and alternately pressing da call & end button to boot it up again as suggested on troubleshooting sites but still da red light slowly flashes. I learnt that this issue could be well due to too many running apps on his mobile (for eg. tweets n whatnot set to update every few minutes).

My Nokia E66 keeps running the installer. The Installer starts when the phone is booted and asks me to choose a network connection. It then does nothing. I can't stop it or delete the Installer (Ovi Store) application.

I have just switched back to Verizon from AT&T and decided to ditch my iPhone for a BlackBerry.
I picked up a Storm 2 and have had it now for about a week or so. This is my first BlackBerry. One thing I question about it though is that it has randomly rebooted twice, once while it was sitting on a table and once while in my pocket.
Now I've searched the forums and I have seen mixed reviews on this. Some say that defective phones do this and others say that it is an OS bug and that it will affect all of them.
I never shut it off to charge and usually try to not over cycle the battery between charges. Should I be concerned or is this a common thing for BlackBerrys?
I have rebooted & wiped the curve ended up having to go into SAFE MODE to accept something, now the phone will power on to the loading screen but that is it.The bar scrolls across to the right, gets all the way over and then stops.The phone does nothing.Have tried rebooting into SAFE MODE again but it won't even let me do that now.The phone then goes into standby mode, ie. the screen goes blank until I press a button which results in the loading screen appearing again.

However, this morning I pulled the battery as an attempt to clear it and see if it would run smoother but that plan backfired on me. The phone boots up but it gets stuck on the Verizon Wireless logo screen.Not sure what to do at this point? I think when I upgraded the desktop manager backed everything up. Will verizon correct this for me?

At the beginning of the week I had the blue screen of death (boot configuration error) - and had to re-install the software- which I did successfully a few days ago. All was good... The camera worked for a few days and then boom- as of today it just boots me back to the start screen when I go to take a pic.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI powered off my Photon trying to get it to charge faster, it had gone from 8% to 14% in 90 minutes while plugged in USB to my PC. It automatically reboots after it shuts down. Out of curiosity, I unplugged it and powered down. It stayed down. As soon as I plugged it into the USB of my PC it powered up all by itself. Kind of surprised at this behavior. I know darn well I have had it off and it stayed off when plugged into a wall outlet. I can't wait for this new battery to come from Motorola.
