Nov 18, 2015Not sure where im going wrong really, i used odin to flash a firmware, i was expecting it to wipe the phone completely which is what i wanted it to do because i wanted to start afresh with a new firmware but after installing i still has the remnants of the previous rom on like the theme didn't change, it didn't even bring up the initial setup screens. i did not change any of the Odin tickboxes, am i missing something?

Jul 19, 2015I am trying to turn on fingerprint lock. When I click on "+ Add Fingerprint" I immediately get an error message saying "Make sure that the Home key is clean and dry, then try again". It does this before even attempting to scan my fingerprint. When I click OK on the message it closes out of the add fingerprint screen straight away. When I go back in there I get the same message immediately.

Galaxy S5 :: Low Memory And Can't Uninstall Apps?
Mar 3, 2015My daughter's S5 (AT&T, stock) is low on storage... I think about 400-500 Mb free. Two problems that I'm not sure if they are related.
First... Trying to free-up space. First thought was to move pictures from the phone memory to the SD card. Using the "My Files" app I always get a "Failed to Move" error message. Also, in the application manager, unable to move any apps from phone to SD card, even those where is shows the move to SD as an option.
Second.. Can't uninstall an app. When I select uninstall I get the "uninstalling" message but it never finishes.
So... unable to move stuff to SD card and unable to uninstall apps. I'm not sure if the phone needs a certain amount of storage for any file operation, whether it be moving files or uninstalling apps. If so, it's a catch-22... can't free up enough space to allow the file operations.
I tried a wipe of the partition cache, but doesn't work.

Oct 16, 2015I usually watch all my tv shows on google chrome, through certain websites. They always had the same video player. and I loved that video player, but recently, I went on a site to watch a show and the video player had changed. Now I can't even watch my shows on that specific site anymore because the fullscreen button is doesn't appear, but it's not the site. It's the video player. On other sites I can watch videos but on this site, the fullscreen button doesn't work with this new video player. I want to factory chrome video player.
(and no I don't want to uninstall chrome updates because chrome looks horrible in it's factory version)

Oct 16, 2015An OTA update to 5.1.1 loaded last week for my G920I and I am unable to uninstall Knox or disable it. How to do it without root? I am a huge supporter of rooted devices but this one does not have a whole lot of bloat so I would rather keep it unrooted. All the instructions point to a Knox icon and main settings in Knox which I do not have.
Knox is loaded and running and alsmost using up a gig of ram. I had Knox enabled in 5.0.3 before the OTA update and it appears to be enabled still in 5.1.1. I do not care about security and I am careful about what I install and I don't need a system app running and wasting battery and ram.
