Galaxy S5 :: Why Camera App Timestamp Showing Am Instead Of Pm
Jun 13, 2015
I am playing around with the features in the camera app and noticed that the time on the stamp feature shows am instead of pm, but the time the photo was taken is correct.
I am having with my BlackBerry Bold 9900. The time for incoming SMS messages is constantly saying 03.10am, and when I scroll over the message it always says "received 1 minute ago", regardless of when the message was received. My sent messages seem to be working fine and the time and date have been set correctly. The phone is only a week old and the software is up to date. I have tried removing the battery and rebooting the device but nothing has worked.
I just got my new S5. It worked perfect for about two days and now my camera won't focus. It shows red circle when I tap. Also, the camera is focused for objects in 10cm distance, almost like macro mode. I've tried clearing cache, resetting data -- nothing seemed to work.
Ever since the lollipop upgrade, my wife's Galaxy S5 has been randomly inserting a green line into some of the pictures. Its always vertical and typically at the bottom of the picture and sometimes ranges from a quarter of an inch to an inch long.
On several screenshots that were sent to me from my friend's iPhone, the clock would say something like 7:57pm in the corner. That time matched my time as well.. But when I view details of the image, it would say 9:57. Now the tricky thing is, my friend was in a different time zone earlier that week and would have been 2 hours ahead of me if she were still there, but she was supposedly back in my state at that point. Is something wrong with my phone or did she change the time of her clock to match my own, while in reality she's still two hours ahead and my "details" section knows the truth?
Unlike my previous smarthphone, actually unlike all mobile phones I have used, when I receive a SMS the Xperia Ray puts a timestamp when the message was received and not when the message was sent.
Since I swithch off the phone at night it can be very confusing and annoying when messages come in and are not put chronologically. It can also happen when you have no coverage and when it takes time, sometimes hours before the message gets through.
I upgraded from HTC Desire to HTC Desire HD. The Desire timestamps the photos I take, the Desire HD does not. Is there a setting on the Desire HD to add the timespamp?
I have X10 mini Is there a way to put timestamps on photos (date and time) that sticks on the photo right away as pic is taken? Kind of like it does in an older SE w810 or something? Its like light green numbers in the right bottom corner that sticks to the photo right away. Phones like the SE w810 had this feature in the camera that could be turned on or off. Is there any app like this for x10 mini and other Android phones?
I noticed today that some of my text messages lost their time order. A few of them I sent yesterday and now they appear with yesterdays timestamp but, they are arranged after the texts I've sent today. Why is this?
I recently moved to Michigan from California, and the time settings on my blackberry automatically changed to Eastern Time (-5). However, whenever I receive an SMS (no problems with BBM/MMS), the timestamp for the received SMS in the conversation is 3 hours earlier than the actual/device time. This is a problem only inside the conversation; when I go back to the main Messages or SMS folder, the timestamp of the last received/sent message next to the contact's name is correct. Is there any way to fix this aside from doing a complete wipe? I tried rebooting and manually changing the date/time; didn't help.
On all SE phones I've had, the timestamps on my photos and videos has always been wrong, mostly by an hour or so. If I record a video at 7 pm, it says it was recorded at 6 pm. Same goes for photos.
I have my Yahoo e-mail account tied into the universal inbox. Certain received messages show up with no subject and with the timestamp as 0 UTC (1/1/1970) but adjusted for timezone. The problem e-mails look perfectly fine when viewed on a computer. The same problem was reported some time ago in thisthread:https://supportforums.motorola.com/message/100304Incidentally enough, all the e-mail notifcations generated when there is a response to a thread I've created (in this forum) show the same behavior, so it should be easy enough for Motorola to duplicate (hint hint).
I am using a Droid RAZR with ICS. At times I will receive an email with a timestamp sometime in the future (usually a SPAM message). This prevents new emails from downloading into the email program until after the date and time of that last email. If I delete the email with the incorrect timestamp other meails will immediately download onto the phone.I have looked at the header for this email in Outlook on my PC, and it appears that the email program on the phone is using the timestamp fro the sending computer system, not the one from the local timezone. Does anyone know a way around this issue?
I can see a black spot on screen when the camera is on. Its not there when the front camera is on. I got my phone serviced 2 weeks back from an authorized service centre.
when i connect my iphone to the computer it is coming up under 'Cameras and Scanners' meaning i cannot access my phone except the pictures, how do i connect it so it comes up under a removal device?
When I connect any camera using a Motorola camera connect cable nothing comes up on my screen. On USB Host Connect my camera make and mode show up under usb (as does a storage stick when I try one) but under information I get a message which says S3C USB Host driver NOT found.
I took all kinds of videos and photos today and none are showing up in my camera roll. When I took/take them they show up on the bottom of my screen like usual. However, when I go to my photos and go to my camera roll no photos or video are showing up from today. I have locked and unlocked, reset my phone and everything. Nothing is saving my photos. My phone worked perfectly normal yesterday. And I thought it was today, but I guess not.
On my Iphone4 camera roll i am showing zero photos, but when I connect to Itunes I am showing almost 4GB or space used for photos on mjy phone. When I open IPhoto on my Mac it says all photos have been downloaded to my MAC, but again there is stll storage being occupied on my phone.
I just bought this phone a few days ago. I am very excited and start playing with the camera. after a few shots and a few mode change, the phone freeze and restart. then i open the camera app again it shows only black screen and a camera failed message
i tried using other camera app but it's no use. the phone has no warranty in my country so i could not have a replacement.
been to the samsung service center also but still no luck.
I bought X2-01 Almost in less then a month. I liked it and using it well no problem. But I don't know I am unable to use camera since 2 days, Blue, black, white, red lines are coming infront of it. When I start cam it happens automatically. It becomes better when I set camera of x2 to some light etc., but still unable to see from the camera. No night mode etc., even used in day time.
Decided to take some selfies to test the front-facing camera and noticed it stretches the edges of the photos.
I was so convinced on buying this phone I forgot to even test it out in-stores to check if the front-facing camera was still an issue like it was on the M7. I also bought it from an online Australian store, but imported, so I can't be bothered returning it. It seems like the S5 and a few other models have this issue?
I have already tried changing the settings by going to crop and then changing it from wide to standard. Standard works to reduce the distortion A BIT, and square is better but still distorted.
These photos are just shocking. I will post them anyway for the sake of science and hilarity. Even the more centered photo stretches my forehead. As if it's not big enough!!
I just upgraded my iPhone to 5.1,when i hold the camera close to some text it is blurry and unreadable, and when i tap to focus the only thing the phone does is lighten or darken the screen depending where i tap. the front camera works fine if i hold it close to text and take the photo but that is pain. anyone know how to fix this? i can hold my wifes 3gs the same way and the text is readable.I have tried restoring as new and back up with no luck, and i have tried other camera apps and it is the same result.
Basically if you open the camera you just get a blank screen but you can actually press the button and take a picture. I have downloaded the FX Camera Zoom app and this does the same thing, however the Paper Camera app shows previews.
I'm trying to cut down on unnecessary storage space, and for some reason there is a gigabyte and a half of photos (1,109 pictures it says) listed in the iTunes usage display, when I have exactly 4 pictures in my camera roll, no videos. I've imported all the photos I've taken to iPhoto on my macbook, but those wouldn't affect the storage on my iPhone.... right? Is there something incredibly obvious I'm missing
with some important photos, they are showing up blank in the Camera Roll and the Photos app. Videos are the same however the videos display a time stamp leading me to think they are somehow stall available and just not displaying.
When I leave the camera app, my phone is apparently accessing my camera and taking a picture. The photo isn't saved in the gallery, but then I go into the task manager, I see a photo of wherever I was when I left the camera app. Is there a way to disable this?
