The sound notification in MAILBOX, (my email account), doesn't work. All other sound notifications work. The settings are correct. All other sound notifications work properly. How do I fix the problem.
View 3 RepliesI want to prevent the "pop-up banners" from Google Hangouts from interrupting other programs and overlaying on top of the app that I am running. I still want my phone to vibrate when I get a notification from Google Hangouts.
I understand that there is supposed to be a menu choice under "Sounds and Notifications" called Interruptions. I do not have this choice.
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport and I am running Lollipop 5.0.
I've recently got an E72 and I'm trying to set-up email (via Lineone). I've done the inbox thing ok but can't send anything. On the Advanced Mailbox settings, there is no Incoming mailbox or Outgoing mailbox settings option. I've searched high and low but can't find anything that will let me have access to the Outgoing mailbox.

It interiors my music and I find it annoying. This did not happen on my previous phone. I can't find a setting to turn this off. I hope I'm just missing it.

My question has to do with the stock messaging app. My carrier is verizon. I'm trying to apply notification sounds to each contact so I can tell who's texting me. I've applied the tone to the individual contacts, but when I receive a message from anyone, it is the same default tone. How do I override this and make it use the assigned tones per contact?

Ever since then whenever I get a text message I have been getting my standard text ringtone as well as my default notification sound.Not sure at all how to go about fixing this. Looked in settings but to no avail. Tried resetting phone but didn't do anything.I found out through some trial and error that the thing causing the text notification ringtone and the default notification to both ring is having vibration turned on for texts. Turned it off and the problem is resolved.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI downloaded ringtones from crackberry a couple hours ago and now my ringers won't work and when I try to play ringtones in the media application it won't let me play them. I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I had the exact same problem less than 24 hours ago and the cell phone place just gave me a new phone because they couldn't figure it out either. If I could get some kind of direction as to what I need to do I would appreciate it greatly.

When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have set my S5 Mini with all the sounds I want, different sounds for different things.
However when it comes to the Clock > Alarm, something I use on a regular basis (old timers is setting in), even though in "Notifications" I have set it to the sound I want, the Clock > Alarm just refuses to play ball, it always defaults back to Samsung's sound.
It is such a quiet sound, I have on occasion missed an appointment, I normally remember to set the sound I want the phone to play, but on the odd occasion I have forgotten, hence the missed appointments.
I have searched the phone for these sounds, hooked the phone up to my PC, and done a search just on the phone for those pesky Samsung sounds. Both way's it cannot find the sound I so desperately want to be rid of.
All of my other Ringtones and Notifications work as I have set them, bar Clock > Alarm.
How I can find them, and delete them?
I have a new S5 and notice when I plug in headphones the notification sounds are still audible from the phone speaker. I had an S3 and S4 and I'm certain when I plugged my headphones in the ringtones, etc were no longer audible. The were heard on the headphones along with the music or whatever I was listening to. Why this may be happening?

Vibrations sounds can be viewed correctly with the button selection and preview option, however, in Ringtones and Notifications a file list is viewed which is /storage/emulated/0/ . The only other file list possible to view is /storage/extSdCard. No button/preview sound view available. Not possible to navigate from Ringtones and Notifications to the root system files where the default audio files are located: device/system/media/audio

Any way to disable the wireless charging sound without rooting or silencing all notifications? This is pretty annoying not being able to turn it off. The first notification when I place the phone on the charger I'm fine with. It's the ones throughout the night that wake me. I've read when it's up to charge and trickling back down, or getting hot and pausing charges is why this happens. The only solution I found is rooting, which I rather not do until Knox isn't tripped.
View 24 Replies View RelatedWhen I open my camera app, sometimes the camera takes 1-2 seconds to initially focus and during that time it makes a loud buzzing sound. It sounds like a focus motor or something in the camera and the camera output on screen flutters while it focuses. Once it focuses, everything is normal and it doesn't make any more noise to refocus. This also doesn't happen every time I open the camera app, seems mostly random. I am already on my 2nd S6 since the first was defective for different reasons and I'm starting to get very disappointed with Samsung quality control.

My data is on as I can browse and internet is working fine but this is important as well. I have tried changing LTE value to 4G in CSC features but that did not work....
I booted my phone in safe mode and when I returned into normal mode many of my apps' icons are missing. They are missing both from the home screen as well as the app drawer. They are still installed.
