View 2 Replies View RelatedSomeone was playing with the game setup in kids mode. I don't know how it happened, but now the phone has a PIN. Not a PIN to exit kids mode - but a PIN to get onto the phone. I've never had a PIN or password on the phone - I was using a pattern for security but now it's not asking me for a pattern - it says "Type PIN code".
I've restarted the phone several times. It says that it will automatically factory reset after 10 unsuccessful attempts and I've already used 7. I tried the PIN that I set to exit kids mode, and 0000 and a few others. Nothing works.
I've tried restarting the phone in the "Safe Mode" and it still asks for the PIN Code.
Kids Mode was supposed to be a way that one could play a game and not mess up the phone, but now it looks like I'm going to lose everything.
I have forgotten my pin in kids mode on samsung galaxy s5 and my email password is not being accepted. How do I unlock the phone?

To summarize, Kids Corner requires our PIN to get access to it, if enough time has passed for the PIN timeout to come into effect. This was completely unexpected for us both. We feel like it is a bug & not the proper behavior of this feature based on the way it was marketed. It seems to us to somewhat defeat the purpose, or at least be more cumbersome to use with the current behavior.
I am seeking an official response from Microsoft or Nokia, as to whether the behavior we are expecting is indeed the intended behavior. If so, we are certainly interested in a feature enhancement that would give the user an extra option in the Kids Corner settings to disable the requirement for a PIN at any time (regardless of the normal PIN timeout setting).

I moved a few photos into the private folder and when the phone shut off private mode did as well. Now I cannot remember my password and there is no fingerprint backup.
Samsung supports response Keep trying paswords. I realize I should have written it down, but I was slightly overwhelmed moving to android. There has to be a way to retrieve.
