I have s5 and i have been using since 9 months and i use my finger prints as a password and i made an alternative password but 8 months back and i dont remember it.
I belong to pakistan where android device manager doesnt work and I dont wana do factory reset as i have very important whatsapp community where i am an admin and i dont have the contact no. of all the people of that community. How to get back on the finger prints or bypass alternative password....

Phone is locked and asking for an Alternative Password. How can I provide a Alternative Password when I didn't set one? Is there a way to unlock the phone so I can use it without doing a factory reset and loosing all my information. If there is no way to get in ....is there a way to do a backup so I do not loose VIP information that has been stored?

i just purchased a galaxy s5 a couple months ago and i have chosen the fingerprint security option as my main entry to my phone. however the option to use the scanner is not available for some reason right now on my phone. it is asking me to use my alternative password which i do not remember because i have been using the finger print scanner for so long. I am worried that i will have to wipe my device to get into it, i have many important photos/information on my phone, is there an alternative way to unlock my phone?
i got S5 and i have an issue, weird one.. i was on my device normally and then i locked it and after 10 minutes i got a call and tried to unlock the device after it ( i was using Finger print ) but it wasn't there, It's just " Enter alternative password " nothing else , there is no unlock with E-mail or anything, just the "enter alternative password" and actually i can't remember it so what to do ? it's lil bet weird but i can't unlock my device

I have GALAXY S5 AND I am trying to unlock my phone but I cannot because the fingerprint scanner does not appear at all and it asks only for alternative password that I cannot remember,,what should I do to make the phone ask for finger print.
I have forgotten my password and to make matters worse, the phone wont accept my supposedly registered fingerprint.
I would like to avoid a reset...... I think I might be able to submit the correct password if I knew the requirements of the password, i.e. #letters, #numbers, caps, special char etc etc.

Uninstalled it and needed to get dis encrypt data, needed pw, which I lost and a code that was given to me, supposedly when I got it, but I got the free version Uninstalled due to it not letting me to finger scan to unlock phone and kept asking for backup password.

I cannot remember my BB ID password. My BB ID username was set up as an "@carrier.blackberry.net". So when I go to the forgot password link, it emails the password to the above email, which cannot be accessed from a computer, as is a Blackberry email.
I can't access my phone because it is rejecting my device password. I am now at the final attempt and am getting the message that any more attempts will cause the info on my device to be wiped clean.I tried recovering and changing the device password through Blackberry Protect with no success.
