Dec 15, 2014I just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 and am already almost out of storage space. I transferred some files from my old phone (photos, contacts, etc.) and have only downloaded two apps. Under Storage, it says that Miscellaneous Files take up 13.10GB of space - and that Mobile Content Transfer is the biggest culprit of this. If I delete this file, would I lose everything that transferred? I've added an SD card but can only put a few apps onto it and not much else.

According to the "details" from the 1 main folder - it has 2 GB of memory used within it. BUT, according to the "details" for the 2 inside folders - the ones contained WITHIN the main folder - the memory used ACTUALLY adds up to LESS THAN 1 MB, between the 2 of them! And, the "details" for EACH of the 2 inside folders, separately, also CONFIRMS the 1 MB TOTAL. How do I delete these "invisible" files? They're not only wasting a huge chunk of my phone's storage capacity, but they're also causing my phone to run slower and not operate properly - since it's nearing its internal storage capacity limit.

I have it set to only sync future events, and have NOT checked the "Replace all calendar events" box, since I recently added some events to my BB calendar, and want those sync'ed to my calendar. Now, however, when I start to sync, I get a message saying "Syncing with Blackberry Desktop Manager will change more than 25% of your calendars, events, or to dos on this computer." When I look at the details of those events, they're all in the past, and I do not want to delete them from iCal on my Mac. The Mac is a MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.6.4.

Jun 15, 2013I am trying to transfer my .mp3 files to my computer running win7 just to have my music backed up. I do not want to use a cloud service or anything just my computer. they seem to transfer fine to my older laptop running windows vista, but using win7 only the first 127kb of the file transfer over. I even tried transferring my pics over to my win7 computer to back them up and they all appeared grayed out. but I transferred my pics to my windows vista computer and they were fine, so it seems to be a win7 issue. I do not understand what it could be. but I really want to transfer my stuff to my win7 desktop computer and not my old win vista laptop.

Sep 21, 2011I received my Torch due to my work, an evaluation unit given away by RIM in my region (finally a freebie after 11 years of covering the telecom sector!). I notice that the Documents to Go section has 100s of pdfs - about service level agreements and warranties in various countries. Some are as big as 5MB, so I want to delete them. (I'm guessing there are 200 - it takes 21 swipes of my finger to scroll down to the bottom of the list)
Trouble is.. when I connect to BBerry Desktop I can't find these files anywhere! Documents to Go shows up as empty.
On the device, when I click on Docs to Go this opens up as 'all files', with a folder icon saying Browse, and all these pdfs listed below that. 'Browse' leads to the folder groupings for camera, audiobooks, docs, music, etc. and the pdfs do not appear to be inside any of those.
So my only option is to delete each pdf one by one? On the handset is there some way to 'select' bunches of them and delete all at a time? I thought maybe I could do this using Windows Explorer, but whenever I click on the Flash Drive icon that represents the Torch memory I can't get in to see what's there (it says something like 'insert the disk you wish to view with this drive')

I've noticed something, and this issue has been discussed in other posts, but not rectified to my satisfaction. If I delete an email on my BB, it does not delete on my Gmail account on a desktop or laptop. This can be incredibly frustrating. I tried using the Gmail mobile BB app, but it doesn't display HTML email, and my BB is used mostly for personal not for business. Maintaining an orderly email account is proving extremely difficult. I've had the DELETE ON: MAILBOX AND HANDHELD set both ways, and i've had the sync option on the MANAGE EMAIL ACCOUNTS submenu checked and unchecked, and it doesn't work any way i can set it.
It's a BB Bold 9700 on T-Mobile in the US.
