I have a movie folder on my laptop and SD card. I am regularly adding files to my pc folder. Is there a way or app that will automatically copy new files added to pc folder to my s5 SD card folder when the phone is plugged into the computer?

But I could not find a solution. On windows I can copy files on the micro sd card and delete - but as soon as I insert the card in the phone, everything is in the old condition. The files are mostly MKV videos files, ranging from 1GB to 3GB in size.
On my old S5, I usually take the MicroSD card out and copy the files using a USB 3.0 card reader connected to my computer's USB 3.0 port. Or I just connect the S5 to my computer using the included USB 3.0 cable. Both methods are very speedy.
With the S6, I don't know, it seems to take about 3 times as long to copy the same files. I thought the internal memory was supposed to super fast... or is the USB 2.0 connector the bottleneck? or is there something else that I can do to speed things up?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since i got the galaxy s5 mini my emails never synced automatically. After a couple of weeks i disabled unified Daemon (draining too much battery). Today i went into the settings>>accounts>>email. It then lists my email and below it it says "sync disabled" in grey. I cant seen to change this. There is also "common settings" below this and within that I changed them all and still no luck! I don't know if unified daemon has anything to do with it but it did occur even before I disabled unified dameon.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOk so everytime I move files over from my internal storage to my sd card on my galaxy s5 they become corruped. This is my 3rd memory card I have purchased so it's not that. I am even using an official samsung 64gb micro sd card uhs-1 class 10. When the video clips are saved on the device they play fine. So I copied them over to my sd card using the my files folder on the phone and "moved" them and "copied" them over. At first the files play fine but then when I go back later to play them some of them pop up as unable to play video and are corrupted. I googled the issue and I'm not the only one having this problem but I haven't found a resolution either.

When I try to load music onto it, it recognizes about 10 GB and then everything after that it says "player does not support this kind of file," though it's all just mp3s or m4as, both of which the card is recognizing. The files get loaded onto the card but can't be played, or even organized by artist or title. I've tried formatting, no good. I even contacted the seller and had him send me a new one, but the same problem occurred, so it's not a defect in one single card. I've tried loading the files through a card reader and directly through the phone, no luck. If it's a 128 GB card, how come it won't recognize any files past 10 GB?
Update: I just ran SD Insight on my phone. It tells me the model is APPSD and the size of the card is 134 GB. However, under manufacturer, it says, "SD card is invalid." Some more info from the scan: Serial #0x687, manufactured June 2015, SD card specification: physical layer version 2.00, CPRM security support: SDHC card (security version 2.00).
I have a Galaxy S5 from Cricket/AIO wireless. It just recently updated to Lolly from KK. I want to move larger apps and such to the SD card as I have a 128GB in there. But whenever I try to move a file/app, it becomes unstable or doesn't work. In its place on the menu, is a blank/ghost space and says "app is not installed". In the app manager it is usually listed as "xyz app.samsung.com" or such. I am still making payments to it so I cant fully root it or jailbreak it but I cant load the apps I want/need. Or is there a way to load larger apps directly to the SD?
Also as a secondary problem, moving pctures from internal to SD, I get a ghost image in Gallery and cant access the picture. Did it delete? Can I get it back somehow? Do I need a forensics kit on my computer?
I factory reset my phone samsung galaxy s5, verizon, android ver 5, without decrpyting my sd card.
Are there any steps or utilities to retrieve the files?
When I plug in my phone via USB and try to transfer files from the phone to the card I get:

I can transfer them to a temp folder on my PC, then move them to the card. But, can't do it directly from phone to card as I used to be able to.
It still works fine on Win7.
I have had the SGS S2 for almost two months now, whenever I transfer pictures and music between folders with my external SD Card or to my Phone Storage, they disappear.I can't remember how exactly I moved them, but I remember the last time I cut the files from one folder and pasted to another, and they all just disappeared.

so my old nokia n95 is out of warranty, the phone is kinda in bits now, it turns on etc, just the buttons dont work, thats why its apart, I Kinda tried to fix it, I didnt make it worse either though, my problem is the main buttons dont respond, numbers etc do.. When I paste the Flac files into the phone, it prompts for file format not supported, then I click 'No, just Copy' and for all files. But then it only copies the first file (If I selected multiple files) and then freezes. When I cancel the process, the first file is copied successfully. I am using WIndows 8 and had same problem on WIndows 7 also.
