i cannot copy or move any files from sd card to device. i am getting permission warning when i attempt to copy. i have enough free space in device so what can cause this. an how to fix.
View 3 RepliesA configuration snafu sent pictures to a folder in Device Memory. (Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures) All my previous pictures went to memory card. (Media Card/Blackberry/pictures) I am not able to move the pictures from the Device Memory folder to either the memory Card or to my PC. Normal "Move" and PC downbload procudes don't work (I can't get to the Device Memory folders via my PC, and the Blackberry won't let me move from the Device memory to the Media Card.) These pictures will be lost if I can't move them. I don't want to email them. How do I move the pictures in Device Memory/Home/User/Pictures to either the Media Card or to my PC.

But I could not find a solution. On windows I can copy files on the micro sd card and delete - but as soon as I insert the card in the phone, everything is in the old condition. I have accessed Blackberry website and followed the instructions but my menu does not give the option to 'Move'. This is a replacement handset and apparently software etc has been upgraded since I got the previous one 7 months ago. I want to use music as a ring tone (I am also having problems downloading music but that's another story). It stored its files on the SD card so I moved them to the phone storage. It seems to be working fine now. This week I have been taking pictures with my HTC M8 and the gallery freezes and the picture will turn blank with a triangle in it. The camera stores pictures on the SD card also. If I touch the picture the phone locks up.

So, I thought I would get a bigger card and bought a 16GB microSD card as I would like to put more games and alot of my music on it as well
How would I go about transferring or copying all the files that are on the 8GB card to my 16GB card without losing any downloaded data i.e large game files and game saves? CAN THIS BE DONE? As I am new to Android, any step by step advice would be great by the way!
One thing I did try was copying all the data on the 8GB card to a folder on my PC (whilst enabling the 'view all hidden files and folders' option in XP) and copied the folder contents to the new 16GB card (pre formatted to FAT32). I put the new card in the phone but cannot access the games without having to re-download the GBs of data needed and all my games progress has disappeared along with a few games and some needed game data. e.g NFS Hot Pursuit starts but will not play!
How to install .xap files in L1020?? From what I know that if we manually install .xap files, we need move the files to SDcard & the files will appeared in the Store with "SDcard" option.
This was what I search from the internet & the step was explained on the Windows Phone Store also. How about L1020 which there's no SDcard support??
