I just installed ovi contacts 1.5 on my nokia E72-1 and am unable to login. Everytime i try i get this message: unable to connect, please try again later. My connection is fine (3.5G) as it works in nokia chat and every other application.My firmware version: 031.023.Type: FM-530
My E7 (Anna upgrade installed, but the problem existed already before Anna, from the very first day I used the phone) has incredible problems in connecting with Bluetooth.I have paired my E7 with several computers (one Lenovo, one Compaq, one HP - all having the latest Ovi suite) and with my car kit (Nokia 616). With all of these, getting the Bluetooth connection up and running is pain.It seems that when the phone is freshly powered on, connection can easily be initiated. But if the phone has been powered on for a longer time (like half hour or more), it usually can't get connection to remote party.Previously I had N97 and N97 mini and there were no problems with these.
i have E71x and i am able to download 2go and installation is not a problem, But the major problem is that is not able to connect to network after installation. What can i do ?
I am getting some problems with my Nokia E7-00. While using the mail app, when I enter the 'contact search' options, I enter a contact name and select search. But there is always a message saying "Seach failed, try again later"!!! I have two mail accounts on my phone and this happens to both.
My E72 cannot connect to WIFI or GPRS after I got a firmware update. Whenever I try to connect, I get error messages like "Connection not available" or "Web: Unable to perform operation". My software version is 054.005 for RM-530.
I can view the person who had this phones email account, but I can't set my new one up. I use the "email setup wizard" go into it, connect, and then it asks me my email address, I enter the CORRECT one and that's as far as this thing will let me go. I don't even get to the part where it asks me for a Password. after I enter my email address it tries to connect to the server (which is yahoo mail) and then I get the message "Unable to connect to server. Try again later."....And that's all it keeps doing. I have no clue how to set up an email on this phone. I use it with my WAN connection and with my providers internet and get the same message both times.
I did a *#7870# on my E75 without my memory card for better performance. I have all my data, contacts etc saved on my memory card.After the resetting my mobile when i inserted the memory card it took so long to load my data from it but my device is unable to retrieve my contacts from my memory card. its not even giveing me an option to copy or import contacts from my memory card. it is only giving me options of 1) Phone Memory, 2) SIM memory & 3) Service Number Only Before reseting it was giveing me an option of Memory Card.
I bought E7 about a month ago. Previosuly had N95 and LOVED IT but I needed to update. I am having problems with my contacts. All my contacts are saved by sim card. I thoght sim was problem but No. Even with replacement sim, I still get errors as described on subject line above. I am thinking about contacting Nokia and get a replacement. I want to add pictures and ring tones to my various contacts but it is not possible with these errors that I am receiving. I try to add a new contact and phone does not allow it by, once again, providing an error as mentioned above. Some times, phone says that memory is full but yet the phone indicates that there are 150 contact slots still available to be used.
Hi , I need to display only Sim contacts in phone contacts option rather than contacts that are saved in memory card. According to me knowledge there is a bug in these cell phone perhaps if you have any old nokia phone you may find this option.
i had a problem with connecting My brand new e71 with my PC,it shows error, "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned,and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this Click on the message "
When i connect it to PC in my mobile it shows the connecting options suite,mass storage etc.But nothing works..
Another e71 of my friend is able connect to the same PC as normal.
I have a newly unboxed e7, in fact two days old, and the thing is, it just cant seem to figure out the difference between a connection from a microUSB cable connected to my mac and the charger connected into the power outlet.
The first time I connected it to the mac, everything was fine. I switched to mass memory, transferred some data, and disconnected, and well, I cant seem to do that again. I dont see the USB icon on the top right corner, and the darn thing just charges away to glory.
Switching between the modes of USB connection does not help (Nokia Ovi suite, mass storage, media transfer, conn. pc to net), *7370# didnt help, trying a Blackberry cable dint help, downloading the isync plugin for the e7 did not help as it cant detect the device.
Funnily enough, USB OTG seems to be working fine. This is one quirky phone man.
I'm having problems connecting my E72 phone to my computer. I've installed PC Suite for my E72, I've also installed the driver for the USB cable and have selected PC Suite as USB option. When I connect my phone to my computer, nothing happens.I'm running Windows XP SP3.I have tried some of the things that were suggested in other related topics, but no joy.
Not sure if this has been asked before, probably has, but I cannot connect to the ovi store on my phone, after I enter my account details, keeps saying sign in failed even though I can sign into ovi on my computer, I have reset the cache and cleared cookies, cookies are allowed on my phone all that. I have synced it with the ovi suite all that perfectly but, I don't know why I can't sign into the ovi store on my phone, or sync with ovi sync on my phone either. Im living in Ireland if that makes any difference at all and on vodafone network.
I been having this weird issue for two months now. Suddenly my phone is not connecting anymore to Gtalk and display the next message: Not logged in Google Talk (Code604).I've look for the code error in the web and i have not found any help, or any hint that can lead me to correct this issue. I have delete and reinstall several times the chat app, I have change the password to only letters or only numbers, the lenght (6, 7 or 8), upper case, lower case... and so on. This is the screen that I get, in case someone can relate:If I try on ebuddy or nimbuzz those connect just fine. Now that I remember i have even deleted my ebuddy and nimbuzz account just in case those were the problem. I also did the google chaptcha from the phone browers and delete all the cookies and stuff just in case.The funny thing is that I discoverd recently, that I can log on to other Gmail accounts, but not to mine! Look is the same phone:The Yahoo!, the MSN and even the useless ovi chat works fine. I do realize that this might be a problem of the Google Account and not the phone, but I don't know. I don't want to hard reset because I dont know if i'm gonna lose the cool apps that ovi gave free the last month to e72 users?
When i connect it to the PC, it starts charging but does not connect to the computer.I tried all USB modes in the phone setting but it does not even give a connection notification on the computer. I tried connecting it to other computers but still nothing.
I had my home network setup sweet for a while but then my phone started dropping the connection like crazy. One second I could go to a webpage and then the next it would say WLAN not found. Keep in mind this was literally 10cm from the wireless router.Now at work I tried connecting to the WLAN after following a very comprehensive guide put together by our IT department with all the required details. I also downloaded the required certificate and opened it (selecting all 3 of the options that come up, whatever they were).Another person at work has the E65 and they connected fine. I have attached the settings I used in case you can spot something wrong.
I really bought this phone because of the WiFi capability and now im so frustrated. 50% of the time i can connect to my router at home and the remaining time i get the message:
"browser unable to connect to website"
I dont understand what is happening. I tried resetting the router and the phone and nothing works. My nokia 5530 works on it without a problem and my friends use other devices on it without a problem (tablet, cell, laptops)
I've try to connect ma phone to WiFi but i keep receiving msg like this...Wlan network found But every time i try to open found network it appear to be a HIDDEN NETWORK and wen i try to access the network I'll be ask to give network name of which i dont know.
I have a brand new E72. I have set up MS Exchange, Gmail and a POP3 accounts.
The problem is that my phone keeps on asking me 'Select Connection' if I want to connect using Wifi, WAP or Internet. First of all, I do not know which app requires the connection. This is definitely a UI improvement! How can I know which app requires the connection!
Let's assume it is my mails accounts which try to connect (I have played with the Control Panel / App Manager). The issue is I cannot find how to tell my mail accounts I want to force the connections to Vodafone Internet 'Contract Internet'.
It seems that I can only select the connection point for my first email account and not for the remaining ones.. Is that correct? That's a bug.
I just have to enter my username and password, and everything just works. I go through a million hoops and yet on my e71 this network simply seems impossible to connect to
I have recently bought Nokia E5-00, so far the phone is just too great.
the only place where I went disappointed is the connectivity of the phone with Nokia PC suite. i have tried many billions time to connect, but i failed.
whenever i connect my phone to PC via cable, it asks me to connect via PC suite or mass storage or rest other option. when i hit PC suite, my computer start finding something and then all of sudden my phone ask again what way you want to connect your phone and again and again. its working perfectly fine if i hit Mass storage. it just the PC suite which aint connecting. i have tried it on my brother's computer but its coming up with same error.
My phone is Nokia E6. I've installed Nokia Suite (v: 3.6.36) on my pc.I connect usb cable to E6 and pc. Run Nokia Suite. And then I connect my pc to internet. I expect E6 will connect too but it's just not working.
I have a Nokia E63 mobile set. Recently, I updated its firmware with Nokia OVI Suite to 500.21.009. After update, it seems to work fine but when I tried to connect to my wireless router, it says "Connection Not Avaible" but the icon for wlan stays near the battery indicator icon. When I try to connect again, it says "Wlan connection already active, close it and try again". And when I try to disconnect with wlan, i cannot find disconnect option. Becoz of the problem, I tried googling, found that some problems were resolved by reinstalling the update. So, I tried the same without luck. I also tried Factory Reset which didnt worked. After that, I tried GPRS connection and found that I cannot connect with GPRS either.
When I try to connect my E7 via USB or Bluetooth to my Windows 7 computer Ovi says connecting but never connects. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all Nokia software on the computer to no avail, I can access the mass storage device directly via the usb cable and see the contents.
I'm not able to connect the E7 to the Wi-Fi networks available in my company. iPhones and Androids are able to connect to the same Wi-Fi.
The Wi-Fi has a username and password and even if they are entered correctly, the Wi-Fi doesnt connect through. Is there some restriction for NOkias to connect to such Wi-Fi's ?
I just got the phone and I was wondering if anyone can please help me connect to the interent without having to find a wireless hotspot! Its really annoying! Whenever I try to use the browser it says 'connecting' then 'select connection' and the only option it gives me is 'search for WLAN'.
can't connect via USB mode. With bluetooth connects ok,but i cannot update phone software. I have tried to repair cable drivers,start service layer,restart comp,but ovi suite says that the phone is not in Ovi suite mode. When i connect phone ,on the phone says Usb connection OVI suite mode. ovi suite 3.3.86..windows 7 ultimate OS
