I have been using my trusty Nokia E72 for a few years now, it has no problems.I want the data in it to be synced with my laptop. I have tried using Bluetooth and an USB cable.It's not working. Is there a problem with my laptop or is it a problem with my phone/software?

Can somebody please tell me if that can really function and how? And by the way i read all of the discussion about the batterylife, mine was holdin 3-4 days but i found out that it was because of Whatsapp. So the app forced the phone to connect to wifi all the time, even if the App is completely shut down. And we all know there isn't a wifi-shutdown function, so the phone stayed all night connected to wifi. I deleted Whatsapp just for experiment and since wednsday morning untill now I still have 50% battery, with some internet surfing music and so on.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia E7, and recently I noticed that whenever I connect this phone to PC either it doesn't detect by the PC, or it detects and within a minute it again disconnected(that message comes in notification area).Nokia suite givs message E7 connected and whenever I want to something file transfer or sync within a minute or so it automatically get disconnected.I can see that in USB cable mode connection the light blinks and charging is ongoing, but nowhere in my PC I can see the "E7". This is started just two weeks back, I uninstall everythign, again reinstall nokia suite, pc connectivity software again everything. but no result.I just want to access my phone in Nokia suite mode and want to access my files. If I put my phone into "Mass storage or media transfer mode" I have seen charging has stopped and my phone not detected by the PC.

My mobile model is Nokia 5230 and I have a bluetooth dongle. I want to use PC as my hands-free and record my music classes. Is it possible? I'm able to dial and receive calls from PC when I connect the mobile to PC via cable. But not able to hear anything in speaker. How can I connect my mobile to the soundcard of the PC, so that I can use my microphone and speaker to talk and listen to the other end? The phone started giving problems thereafter.Initilly i found the phone not responding after installing whatsapp. I removed that program and the phone was fine. It restarts in between without any reason. The latest problem is that the bluetooth pairing menu is missing in the bluetooth option. It used to be a secondary tab on the right hand side of the main menu. Now its missing.

They pair, but the phone insists my PC is an Audio Device ("Connect to audio device" on the menu). The PC responds somewhat strange - "Bluetooth Hands-Free device E52 Establishing Connection"...which FAILS - "Unable to establish Bluetooth connection" on the E52. So my PC also believes the E52 is a hands-free device. Apparently.Discovery of services on the E52 yields Data Transfer, Dial-Up Networking, Headset Audio Gateway, OBEX File Transfer+Object Push I recently replaced my original E52 with a new one and the first phone paired well and I could at least be on-line with text messages, calendar and contacts, although sometimes they would not connect automatically or the connection would be broken.This one's a mess.
When I try to connect my E7 via USB or Bluetooth to my Windows 7 computer Ovi says connecting but never connects. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all Nokia software on the computer to no avail, I can access the mass storage device directly via the usb cable and see the contents.

This is a major problem for me as use it daily.Meanwhile I've read there's a new firmware version (81.003) but it doesn't seem to be available here in Portugal. I've already checked for updates via OTA and through the Nokia Suite but it says there's no updates.Can anyone help me with this problem? Is there any solution? Is it possible to downgrade to the previous firmware version?
