when i transfer songs from other phone to Nokia E5 via Bluetooth the songs file gettings stored in Inbox with bluetooth symbol. How can i point it to store in phone memory or to Memory card

In the Blackberry there was a search box or you could simply type the name of the song and it would be automatically searched. However, in this phone, when you are in the songs list in the mucic player, there is no option to search by typing in the keywords of a song...atleast thats what i think.. Am I right? this is because I dont want to be scrolling down the whole list just to listen to a specific song. My music library is not perfect meaning I dont have songs with all details perfectly filled in. Is there any way to get over this..except updating to Belle..

I depend on SMS a lot and I have my SMS archived on the phone in several folders (I don't keep them in the inbox of course). I was very happy to see that we can restore the "nbu" file directly to E7. However, I was surprised to see that Nokia PC Suite doesn't backup all of the SMS folders. It only backs up the original system folders (inbox, outbox, drafts, sent).I've tried copying or moving my SMS from the folders I've created for them back into inbox but the system doesn't allow that. I've tried copying them into drafts and it can be done but I lose all the crucial data (when and who).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my E6 a week ago and I just now tried to connect it to my pc via bluetooth. Amongst the normal services my pc found was some service " remote control". Can somebody please tell me if that can really function and how? And by the way i read all of the discussion about the batterylife, mine was holdin 3-4 days but i found out that it was because of Whatsapp. So the app forced the phone to connect to wifi all the time, even if the App is completely shut down. And we all know there isn't a wifi-shutdown function, so the phone stayed all night connected to wifi. I deleted Whatsapp just for experiment and since wednsday morning untill now I still have 50% battery, with some internet surfing music and so on.

I have checked the instructions and they all suggest the same, but it seems that my phone does not have the same settings. I am able to create playlists and name them but I cannot add any songs to them - whenever I open a playlist the only songs I have are the pre-installed Nokia songs. I can play songs one by one, from the music folder.

How does one transfer photos from the phone to a PC using the USB cable. I emailed support about this, but the only replies I got were one, to install Nokia Ovi Suite on the PC, which is not a good solution, because often it is necessary to transfer photos to computers that don't have that software installed. Or second, to connect using mass storage mode. The problem with that is that mass storage mode can only access the memory card, but the camera stores the photos in phone memory. I was able to successfully download a few photos by clicking on options/organize which gave the option of moving the photo to the memory card from where it could be downloaded. Now however, I find that that option has disappeared for recent photos, and options/organize only offers the option of "create new folder". how to perform the simple task of transferring my photos to a PC? (I don't have Bluetooth).

I cannot see an option for this. In the PC's windows explorer I can see the phones memory card but not the main phone memory?
I have tried to move my calendar items from my E63 to an E72 and it partially does this. However I noticed (quickly when inspecting) that all the entries for yesterday were not transfered to the E72.I then backed up both devices using nokia Suite (3.2.100) and tried to transfer the calendar items that way. On selecting a partial restor I observed that calendar was not an option.

The phone started giving problems thereafter.Initilly i found the phone not responding after installing whatsapp. I removed that program and the phone was fine. It restarts in between without any reason. The latest problem is that the bluetooth pairing menu is missing in the bluetooth option. It used to be a secondary tab on the right hand side of the main menu. Now its missing.

They pair, but the phone insists my PC is an Audio Device ("Connect to audio device" on the menu). The PC responds somewhat strange - "Bluetooth Hands-Free device E52 Establishing Connection"...which FAILS - "Unable to establish Bluetooth connection" on the E52. So my PC also believes the E52 is a hands-free device. Apparently.Discovery of services on the E52 yields Data Transfer, Dial-Up Networking, Headset Audio Gateway, OBEX File Transfer+Object Push I recently replaced my original E52 with a new one and the first phone paired well and I could at least be on-line with text messages, calendar and contacts, although sometimes they would not connect automatically or the connection would be broken.This one's a mess.
I have a E63 set and an inspiron 1440 laptop. I want to pair my phone with my laptop but whn pairing completes, it always says that "all drivers not found" . usually it is the bluetooth modem that is not installed. I am attaching an image;
