I have a problem with my Nokia E6. When I do the iTunes Transfer, to put music on my device, I can't find the files in my music player.I can browse to the files, using the File Manager, but I would prefer the files to be in the music player.

I have just got a new Nokia E72 I want to transfer the contacts off my old phone The old phone is a 3 Skypephone S2, which is not compatible for a bluetooth transfer.I stored all the details onto the memory card, put it into new phone, and saved them to the new Nokia so they are on the right phone...Now I just need to know HOW to put them from where they are stored on the memory card, into my 'contacts' list so I can use them?

How does one transfer photos from the phone to a PC using the USB cable. I emailed support about this, but the only replies I got were one, to install Nokia Ovi Suite on the PC, which is not a good solution, because often it is necessary to transfer photos to computers that don't have that software installed. Or second, to connect using mass storage mode. The problem with that is that mass storage mode can only access the memory card, but the camera stores the photos in phone memory. I was able to successfully download a few photos by clicking on options/organize which gave the option of moving the photo to the memory card from where it could be downloaded. Now however, I find that that option has disappeared for recent photos, and options/organize only offers the option of "create new folder". how to perform the simple task of transferring my photos to a PC? (I don't have Bluetooth).

I cannot see an option for this. In the PC's windows explorer I can see the phones memory card but not the main phone memory?
When i connect my E71 device via the USB cable it shows in the Nokia suite that there is 352 songs on my device in the music libary, however when i go to the E71 and press refresh it only detects 140 songs ( these songs are derived from my memory card 8GB microSD . When i seem to try and refresh it after it had found the 140 songs it constantly has the 'Refreshing. Added: 0.' searching for music. How do i get it to detect the full 352 that it shows in my Nokia suite and that i have in the actual device.

However I noticed (quickly when inspecting) that all the entries for yesterday were not transfered to the E72.I then backed up both devices using nokia Suite (3.2.100) and tried to transfer the calendar items that way. On selecting a partial restor I observed that calendar was not an option.

I depend on SMS a lot and I have my SMS archived on the phone in several folders (I don't keep them in the inbox of course). I was very happy to see that we can restore the "nbu" file directly to E7. However, I was surprised to see that Nokia PC Suite doesn't backup all of the SMS folders. It only backs up the original system folders (inbox, outbox, drafts, sent).I've tried copying or moving my SMS from the folders I've created for them back into inbox but the system doesn't allow that. I've tried copying them into drafts and it can be done but I lose all the crucial data (when and who).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia E7, which for the most part have been good. Most of the issues i have had with it have been PICNIP's, but now, it's starting to bug me. Some time ago, when the phone was about 6 weeks old, it developed what i assumed to be a hardware bug. No matter what i plugged into the USB port, it told me "USB-device not supported. Remove the unit" and if I press ok it says "error in the USB connection, remove the cable" (I'm translating this from Danish, so this might not be the exact English error code). As the error persisted through a hard reset, i shipped the phone to repairs, where they changed the radio module, where the USB port is soldered to. Now, about a month after i got the phone back, the error has returned. As i doubt i have hit the statistical "faulty unit" lottery twice, i'm starting to wonder if this error is also a "problem in chair, not in phone", so have anyone encountered the same problem? And any ideas how to resolve it?

I have moved my iTunes library to a new Windows 7 PC and cannot transfer music from the new iTunes PC to my iPhone 4S. The iPhone will only accept music transfers from the original iTunes PC. I have come to understand that an iPhone can have only one "daddy" iTunes PC, but have not been able to find out how to change the "daddy". I have done a backup of the iPhone, and a "Restore to Original Settings". Then I restored the content using the new iTunes PC. My Apps and contacts, etc. are back on the iPhone, but it still won't accept music from the new iTunes PC.

After having to re-boot my PC, I unfortunately lost some of the music on my iTunes account. The songs are still able to be played on my iPhone but in the iTunes account, to the left of the tick box there is an exclamation mark, and when I click on the song to play it, a box comes up telling me that "the song can not be used because the original file could not be found." Is there any way of me being able to get the songs from my iPhone back onto my iTunes account?

Not all of my music was purchased from the iTunes store so I can't just retrieve it using my apple id. The computer that had all the music saved crashed so I couldn't transfer the music with an external drive. I was told I would have to use a third party software in order to transfer my music from my iPhone to the iTunes. I have downloaded a bunch and they are all trial versions that have a limit to the number of songs I am able to transfer.

How do I remove the devices in the list or better still stop the list from popping up at all? Checked in my Bluetooth settings and only one device listed which is my car which doesnt appear in the list that pops up
