When I try to open a song I am getting a blank screen only. In the open applications the music player icon is showing. Is there any method to reinstall the music player without reinstalling the entire s/w?

In Music player, there is option to select the MP3 files by albums, genere, etc but not able to sotr it as saved in different folders. I have nearly 1000 MP3 songs in differetn folders. I want to select perticular folder MP3s to be played at a time. No every MP3 file is updated with album title. If I update Album title in file infor, on refreshing the list album title gets geleted again.

If we use this it will sort with Artists first and below it will show the Album name. I live in India, and here we generally listen to songs by movie/album wise not by artist.... I having nightmare in searching the albums as they are sorted by artists first..... I also use Nokia 5800 XM in that we got seperate option "sort by Album" but it is combined with artists in Nokia Symbian^3 phones.....I love the new music player the way it shows the album arts but the only thing is it removed the sort by Album option..

I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?
The music player on my Nokia X6 is not working. It was fine for the first few days I had it, but suddenly it didn't recognise that there was any music on the phone. I have tried refreshing the music library, re-installing the entire software on the phone, doing a hard reset, and deleting a 'corrupted file' from my PC. All of these were suggested to me by Nokia, I have spent a lot of time on the phone to them and persevering at home, deleting all the files off the phone, reinstalling the Nokia Ovi Suite and Music Player, starting again with downloading music to the phone and refreshing the music library in the music player. None of these have solved the problem and now if I select refresh music library the phone gets stuck on trying to update the library and I have to turn it off then on again to be able to use it for calls etc.

The second issue emerged today yesterday night i download many album from ovi on my X6 and today when i i try to start music player it doesn't open the screen gets black nothing happens for a long time, the phone doesn't hangs coz i can get into open apps by press and hold of menu key and come to home screen and do other things
My 5 week old X6(Comes with Music) no longer recognises that the phone has a large amount of music stored in it. My Advent Notebook 4211 runs Windows 7 and happily ran Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia Ovi Player for 3 weeks, allowing lots of downloads from the Comes With Music Nokia site. However, 2 weeks ago theOvi Player failed to start when selected: "Nokia Ovi Player has stopped working".
Nokia Technical Support merely advised me it isn't meant to run on Windows &. strange that it ran fine for 3 weeks on it? I Un-installed and re-installed the latest Ovi Suite an Ovi Player as instructed by Nokia, but to no avail.
Then, 3 days ago, after trying to back up the phone contents through the Ovi Suite, The phone no longer recognises it has any loaded songs? But, if I look at the phones memory via my laptop and its windows system, the phones mass memory clearly shows all the files containing the music on the phone!?
I updated my firmware v40 to v 50, my phone was working very fine on v40, but after updation to v50 i am in major problem, music player not worked properly and after 3 days of updation i received msg normally than suddenly phone touch stop working, become hang i tried to restart my phone but failed its not switching on since that time

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my music player in my s2 LTE is constantly having problems. At random, it will do any one of the following; pause, mute, go full volume and skip songs. This can happen while in my pocket, it can happen when the phone is stationary and not being touched. Motion controls are off. I've downloaded several other music apps and they all do the same thing. I've tried using other headphones. Sometimes it won't happen for a very long time and its no big deal, but sometimes it just constantly pauses or skips songs and makes it more of a hassle than it is worth to listen to music on my phone. It's been happening pretty much since I got the phone in mid December.

Also when I set ringtones from any music on my phone(ones I bluetoothed, ones downloaded from apps on the market, and also ones I copy and pasted from my computer) they will only work sometimes. Other times they seem to reset themselves and go back to a default ringtones or say unknown ringtone and will not work at all. The only ringtones that work all the time are the ringtones that came on the phone. My friend is having the same problem and the tech at US Cellular said he has had couple people come in with the same problem but they can't seem to find a solution. Also when the ringtones/music player is not working the videos in the "Help Center" on my phone will not work either. There seems to be some kind of glitch. I just want to be sure that there isn't some kind of setting wrong or something before I take this phone back and get something else because I would love to keep this phone, but it's not looking very promising.

Anyway the sleep timer on thus new phone does not work. I did a factory reset and nothing. Non related but I noticed that my 4G speed on this new phone is way slower. Maybe that's a Verizon issue.
I hope I can get this sleep timer issue solved.
I only have purchased songs on my iPhone. The music player has jammed--won't play anything. I can see the songs but the play/pause button does nothing. I can advance to the next song (still doesn't play) but I can't move back to the previous song. I've tried resetting to no avail.
